Our server runs terralith (nice work, probably my favourite mod ever) but I only recently found out about the continents mod! Ive always wanted this!! 😅 my concern is that if I install this on our server that there will be bad chunk borders, is this unavoidable? We’ve already built quite a bit so I don’t want to regenerate the world

Adding Worldgen Packs to Existing Worlds

Generally, it isn't recommended to add worldgen packs to existing worlds as blending isn't enabled. If you still wish to anyways, you have a few options:

Option 1

Reset the dimension you are trying to add a worldgen pack for.

  • Deleting the Overworld is not recommended for obvious reasons, but if you want to anyways delete the region folder in regular worlds and world/region on Paper/Spigot-like servers.
  • Deleting the Nether requires deleting the DIM-1 folder in regular worlds and world_the_nether/region on Paper/Spigot-like servers.
  • Deleting the End requires deleting the DIM1 folder in regular worlds and world_the_end/region on Paper/Spigot-like servers.
Option 2

Use a program like MCA Selector to forcefully enable blending on an existing world. Use this option at your own risk, no one will provide support for it in this server!

Option 3

Install the worldgen datapack, then deal with very nasty chunk borders. Basically Option 2, but without doing anything.
