Incendium and Amplified Nether are not compatible together
All of Stardust Labs's datapacks are compatible with one another (Terralith, Incendium*, Nullscape, Continents, Structory, Structory: Towers, Amplified Nether*), with one exception: Incendium and Amplified Nether are mutually exclusive (not compatible) with one another. If you try to load them together, one of two things will happen:
- Amplified Nether won't load at all, it'll just be regular Incendium.
- Amplified Nether will load, but all surfaces in Incendium will be broken (one of multiple examples is no quartz in Quartz Flats)
If you do want both, just use Incendium! It has all the custom mobs, structures, mobs, items, etc; as well as Amplified Nether's terrain and part of its height.
Okay, well, thats not my issue, just a small oversight.
Terra, My issue is with Terralith-
Oh well, if you say so
You are right, the nether stuff would have gone noticed down the line, however, Terralith is causing the server to not start at all, and Ive had to generate the world on just amplified for the moment.
When running Terralith, the above error report is given in the .txt file.
What do you mean by just amplified
Amplified Nether without Incendium?
No, the default minecraft amplified world generation
World types wont affect WorldGen datapack
Vanilla bug
Tho it shouldnt be causing such an issue
Wont hurt to try tho
And get rid of Incendium or Amplified Nether
Afaik it should work, but I can be wrong. I'll pass that to someone more knowledgeable
Thats what I thought, since the other datapacks are working, I would think this one should too-
might be snapshots' fault tbh
oh wait I'm either omegabrain or moonbrain
you have new files now that can override stuff depending on the version you're using, and in 1.20.4 grass id changed (and most of those errors are about grass) so maybe that file applies itself in 1.20.4 but snapshots aren't labelled so it no work
@rigid anvil am I big brain?
wait I forgor if you knew anything about worldgen
Wha
Oh yeah
Snapshot increased version to 27
I think terralith overlay only goes to 26
Overlay? didn't even know it had one
should be fixed in the next update, ima just ping @wicked scroll to be extra sure
you can prolly fix it manually for the time being
ps: dont ask me how
Edit number in pack.mcmeta
🤯
Wait, is that really all it should take?
And what program do i use to edit it, Notepad++?
should be enough yuh
the mcmeta file doesnt even mention 20.4, is it possible an outdated one was included by accident in the 1.20.4 release?

1.20.4 is part of the overlays, just change both 26 in there to 27
Both, or all three?
oh I missed one

all 3
My smp members are now groaning at the new spawn, which I suggested putting them at the bottom of-
uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuh
So it sure seems to be working if you ask me
That doesnt seem to have terralith
• Do /datapack list in game. Does the datapack appear green in that list? If not, it is not installed correctly - follow /faq Server Installation in the Discord.
• If the first step was successful, type /locate biome #terralith:all_terralith_biomes (/locatebiome #terralith:all_terralith_biomes for 1.18.2 and lower) in game and see if you get a result. Replace terralith with whatever relevant datapack you're installing. If you did not get any results, follow the Server Installation mentioned before.
• If you're using Structory, do /locate structure structory: (/locate structory: in 1.18.2 and below) and follow the previous steps.
• For Continents, there isn't a sure way to tell. Just make sure you followed the Server installation FAQ, see if the land looks like continents, and use something like DynMap if you'd like to see if it's working.
...hm, actually, you are right
seems like amplified did apply, just without terralith
/locate biome #terralith:all_terralith_biomes
#terralith
is not even a catagory

oh wait it isnt showing
reinstall it
But for 1.18+, it has to be in bvefore the world generates, which is what I did-
what?
Warning: this method works on 1.19.3+ ONLY! It will not work on 1.19.2 or lower. If you are on 1.19.2 or lower, select the "Normal Install Method" in the select menu below instead. If you use this method, and it does not work, try the Normal method.
Pick your favorite server software (Fabric, Paper, etc), since this method will work on all of them.
1. Do not start your server at all. If you are using a server host and they have already generated your world folder, this method will not work. Same goes for self hosting, and if you already started the server. Swap to "Normal Install Method" immediately.
2a. [Datapacks (.zip) only] Manually create a world folder. Inside that folder, manually create a datapacks folder. Insert all your datapacks in that folder.
2b. [Mods (.jar) only] Manually create a mods folder. Insert all your mods in that folder.
3. Start your server and enjoy!
Right, 1.19, bnot 1.18.
"[17:16:45] [ServerMain/WARN]: Missing metadata in pack file/Terralith_1.20.4_v2.4.11 (2).zip"
Yes, I got rid of the old folder, just didnt rename that one

So what about this is wrong?
Anyone?
@wicked scroll Sorry for pinging you myself, but you were pinged earlier and didn't respond. Are you able to make heads from tails of this?
i didnt respond because i was busy the entirety of the day yesterday. i have just gotten to my machine for the first time in two days.
so, what's the issue?
latest terralith not working with latest update, prolly overlay issue
thought the above was enough but its seems not, or they reinstalled it the wrong way
not an issue
working 100% as intended
i purposefully do not set the overlays to work with snapshots
anyways, all they have to do is change the pack version
if they're having errors, they've zipped it up wrong or done something else
Well, i changed the 26 to 27 in the mcmetadata file, which allowed the server to actually boot up- But, it says the metadata is invalid, and therefore wont run the plugin. Is there more data I have to change elsewhere in the file?
no
send the datapack
(and just to make sure: terrralith is a datapack, not a plugin, so make sure you're putting it in the datapack folder)
Right, yes- I'm running vanilla, I'm just used to having to edit plugin files and not that of datapacks, so thats my mistake for referring to it wrong
its zipped incorrectly. dont zip the containing folder, zip the contents of it
you have two containing folders in the zip, actually
...Right, for some reason I'm not seeing that when I'm opening the folder, it just shows me the files
So, let me try zipping up the files in group to see if that will fix it
otherwise, the pack.mcmeta itself looks fine
let me know if you still have issues zipping it correctly on your machine. some machines/programs try to "do it for you", which means you unintentionally wont get it how you want it
Yea, I get what you mean, but I just didnt see that on my side, which would definately cause an issue from my experience. Fixed it, testing now
Says that it loaded it, booting up client launcher now
Bingo, that fixed it! Thank you, I don't know why I couldnt see the subfolders!
yeah, might want to look into your zip-viewer program's settings or something lol
For sure, because its not supposeod to be doing THAT
