#New/old map smooth transition not working on some chunks

Did some part by part MCA Edit to my old map (10 hours) (fig.1)

The result was very smooth (adapting old to new terrain)(fig.2) everywhere but then i came across some chunks and it stopped
smoothing the terrain(fig.3).

Any idea why?

can you explain a bit more on what exactly you use mca edit for?
