i set my nether height build limit to 320 using tutorial from incendy, then in chunks, that were generated before this update, above y256 started generating only plains biome. can i somehow fix that? i have a backup of world before installing new height limit and world, where this thing already installed

i think nether resetting might help me, but how can i do it? i need to save the seed, structures and biomes
delete the entire region folder (the one inside the world/DIM-1 folder)
the seed is saved in your level.dat, so jsut resetting the chunks should keep the same seed, and therefore same structure placement
what about entities and other stuff in this folder? i tried to fully delete dim-1 folder, and nether resets completely. is there any difference?
the only thing the region folder stores is chunk data
the entire DIM-1 folder stores chunk data, entities, other data (like raids, maps, etc ||not as important in the nether as the overworld||), and poi (points of interest, for things such as villagers)
and, i have not done extensive testing, but i believe the game behaves differently between having to regenerate only the region folder, and the entire DIM-1 folder
again, this is just a theory that i have not tested, but theoretically, there is a difference between deleting everything inside the DIM-1 folder, and the actual DIM-1 folder itself
i always recommend deleting only the region folder, because that way always gives the result im trying to get from people, whilst deleting the entire DIM-1 folder does not
granted, a lot of this is not for your exact problem, but there is still a difference
i deleted it, everything is ok. thanks a lot for help
