First off I’d like to say I appreciate this discord and the people in it. It allows us to do raids when most time we aren’t able to. But we have a rampant problem during popular raids of people trying to squeeze themselves into a raid they don’t belong. I’d like to initiate a possible rule change that if people send an invite to raid group they aren’t in that they be banned from this discord for rule breaking. Cuz when I start a raid and have 9 people add me and I don’t have time to weed through people it ruins the experience for the whole raid when there are people saying they didn’t get invited. We just need a way to try to get people to stop getting unwanted friend request when forming raids.

I'm having trouble finding information on what the protocol is for when you're part of an in-person group and multiple members are looking to use this system to invite others. Should each player host the raid independently or is there a special protocol that should be followed?

What are the rules (if any, nothing in the rules list stood out to me) surrounding the use of the @ AllRaids tag? It seems to be being abused, IMHO. I'm signed up to get notifications for specific raids and yet people are using this tag on raids I do not want to be pinged for, and in some cases I am finding that because I was looking at that notification, I missed out on a raid I actually wanted because I was looking at the wrong channel for a second too long.

I'm getting pinged from the #768177639613399041 for gengar raids that have All raids on them. I'm not reacted for gengar or allraids, and only the allraids ones are notifying me, not the gengar, so I am fairly positive this is what is happening.
I've toggled on/off again - we'll see what happens 🤷🏻♂️

If I want to join the raid I react with 👍 on the host's message. Then I might participate and if I do the private room forms. What to do then? What is the private room?

You will need to react to the 👍 when a raid is posted. If there are more reactions within the first 10 seconds than the maximum requested by the host, the raidbot will select at random the pple to join the raid. If, after 10 seconds the maximum is not reached, it will take the players in the order reacted.
If you are selected you will receive a notification and be placed in a private channel with the host and other raiders. The channel can be found above the raids section in the channel list. The host's friends code will be provided by the bot in a copy/paste format. Add the host and once host receives all adds, you should be invited to the raid.
You can type -leave after 8 minutes to leave the private channel and proceed to joining another raid.

And if you get chosen you will be put in a private lobby
And it will tag you so you cant miss it

Has anyone considered changing the flow to have people msg the raidbot and then the raidbot can post to the appropriate channel vs people scrambeling to post their raid when the channel opens?
Raidbot could even message what the queue looks like or where your place is in the queue
could even have two modes for selecting participants, random when things are slow, or first to respond when the queue is large to speed things up

or when the queue goes over X number based on the math of 90s * X in queue is too long to clear out using normal random process
