i think thats a bad decision... 90% of all people dont write "not boosted" or "boosted" to their host... now nobody will tell if its boosted.. and people like me, searching exclusively for boosted raids cant have a relaxed time and only react when the right channel pings... now i have to keep an eye out for every god damn post in normal channel -.-

i guess its really bad in the first 3 days, especially in the weatherboosted, yes. because some people try to sneak their host trough "faster" and post the normal in the boosted. this is bad behavior, yes. but the solution of deleting the channel entirely results in people who exclusively search for boosted raids (so we dont need to spend tons of candy.. idk whats even the purpose of normal raids, lol)now will get stressed out a lot more. in the past, i reacted only if a post was made in the boosted channel... dont care about the small percentage wich fakes to be boosted. i think the best solution here to satisfy everybody is to change the -host syntax, if both normal AND weather boosted people post in the same channel now, at least make it a requirement to add "boosted" or "not boosted" - 80-90% just -host <@&736811788670337085> 6 6 - thats it

Ah d'accord, so, there's 2 parts to it
hosting and just joining
If you host, you type the command out and you wait for users to press the 👍 button. Once it's full, a new discord channel will be created. This becomes your ""raid lobby"". Here you add the host and communicate with him, mostly you type "added"after you added him/her. Then you wait for your invite and start raiding. Once done you type -leave, so you can start raiding again! Now if you want to host you use the -host command, this will do the same, but now you're the host
There's channels for the specific egg tiers like #740032536163647520 , and roletags for the current raidbosses like <@&764405933824147516>
Mostly you use the tags to notify people that there's a raid, but its not required

Newcomer in this group. I'll try hosting my first raid shortly, but just want to verify how it works not to make a fool of myself. I understood the process like this:
- Post in the raid channel and wait for participants.
- When the bot says the raid is full, a separate/private channel will pop up for those choosen.
- People will add me as friends "automatically" as they see my nickname with the code (or do need to write anything?)
- When everybody has added me, I write in the channel that invite will come.
- Raid starts!
Questions
a) It's not necessary to send gift to each other right? Should be enough just to add to send an invite?
b) Do I need to close the private channel or it automatically ends?
c) Is it OK that you delete the participants in your friend list after the raid?

its not necessary to send gifts to eachother. you can close the raid with "-close" or "-leave" if you are a participante, You can remove them after the raid

You don't have to send gifts to anyone. You have a username search string. Once you've accepted the people that have add you go to the gym enter lobby and then tap add friends then paste the search string it gave you in the private lobby and select all 5 people and send
I delete people after each raid.

I just missed an invite since the lobby spent more than 10 minutes trying to figure out what was going on and I stopped paying attention to my game.
Just to clarify. There was no mention of invites being sent. Neither was there mention of the issue being figured out.

I think that sort of thing is fairly uncommon and can be avoided by just checking the game. I just keep my game open after adding - but it's definitely good practice to let people know when the raid is starting.
I think requiring it though would just complicate things further, some people barely know how things work as it is 😅
