It’s not that the bot is “janky” when a new Pokémon drops, it’s that there is way more people trying to join which lowers the odds of you getting in, as the week goes on less people will be trying to raid that Pokémon and it will be easier to get in

@burnt sparrow You can mute the server or mute the chats by right clicking on them or holding them on mobile. The reason you're getting pinged is because you selected to have every role possible in #welcome-info , if you don't want to get pinged you can remove the roles as well.

It has been discussed. What happens is people get to the catching sequence, and then join other raids when they aren't done with the previous, then every waits
i know 8 minutes sucks for lowstar stuff, but if the host closes as soon as the catch it done, it will get you out sooner

If you get picked by the raid bot, it will add you to a private channel with the other players and send instructions on what to do next. Primarily, you add the host’s friend code in game, wait for them to accept then wait for the invite in game. Very easy !

Once you get to the point of dividing by level, then folks will want to divide by team. That is not what this server was intended for. Everyone gets an equal chance, and yes, that comes with the risk of getting into a group of all lower level players. Player level doesn't always matter. I was in a groups of all lvl 38 and lvl 40 folks. They all used Heatran. We lost, even though I had top counters for dark and shadow.
Everything is a slippery slope. This server has prided itself on providing equal opportunity for all users.
There are level 40 players that got there by exchanging gifts and running stars all day, and have crap for pokemon
There are level 20 players that very carefully select which poke to evolve and level up

I was invited to a raid. The host was hosting a double raid, via his other cellphone through another platform for the same raid. It took him ten minutes to start the raid , I was in the raid eventually when he invited me and then left. Then approached via personal message trying to blame that he was unable to invite. I sent him a screenshot that I was in the raid and he left and he admitted that he couldn't handle two phones with one brain , he said that exactly. Then I told him that he wasted my mega energy because I evolved my chard X to fight the mega raid Vs mega Venusaur. Then tried to blame me as an asshole.

Okay so this guy hosted a raid we all lost passes because he didn't invite enough ppl I asked if he would reinvite and his response was nahh I have work to do. Then started arguing with me about why we lost, was swearing, being disrespectful and wants thanks for hosting? 5 ppl lost passes because of this guy.
I usually will let it go and give people the benefit of the doubt but the crappy cavalier attitude towards others losing money is sticking with me.

I’ve been doing raids (both hosting and playing) for a few weeks and am seeing that in almost every lobby I’m in now, there is a player who doesn’t have their name formatted correctly or adds the host’s code to their alt account and states it in the lobby instead of changing their name in this Discord. As a host, I use the cut and paste feature to search for the trainer names when inviting. I’m sure you see where I’m going with this. 😉 It really slows down the process when players don’t have their name correct in this Discord and sometimes when I’m hosting raids when people who didn’t make the lobby sending me friend invites, it makes it even more challenging. Might there be stronger verbiage added to the rules about these two issues? Thanks for your help!

Unfortunately there's no way for us to verify if a user uses his hosting account compares with the correct discord nickname, since we have no access to the pokemon go data. So if you happen to come across such people, directly ping out a mod or admin with the role tag. They will then be given a bad name role until they update it again correctly. If a user does this multiple times, they will be warned, and then if this continues to happen eventually banned. But thanks for the headsup! Perhaps it's indeed better to rewrite it so it's more clear and will result in warnings if not followed correctly, but then again, Im sure 50% here hasnt even read the rules once 🙃

You can only use the rehost command (make sure to format correctly) if you do not close your prior room. If you have users that want to retry, you would be better off closing your current room, then hosting for the remaining amount of people you need + remembering to invite whoever wanted to try again
If you type a wrong command, it's a official warning. You only get warnings if you break the rules.
