Hi, I can't seem to join any raid despite clicking the emoji in time. I've got a role and the right rooms clicked. It worked for a couple of raids and then it stopped working.

If you're still having this issue, it might just be slight server lag which may be displaying you as clicking the react first - but the lag would offset it and the bot doesn't recognise you as reacting in time

Other possible solutions would be to double check if you've left your previous raid lobby/if the host has closed the lobby

@untold bolt we have something set where you cannot add new reactions to posts. This was done to minimize spam during especially hectic times. The bot is always the first one to like the post, so it is fair game for everyone else once the bot adds the like

deoxys we use a bot where its easier for the host as the host and the people who joined are put into a seperate channel where they can talk. the legacy deoxys is where the people who want to join type "in " the first x amount of people to respond are part of the group@lime island

What do the valid numbers mean

@upper stratus valid numbers are the minimum and maximum numbers you can have in a raid.

@upper stratus the minimum number is always you PLUS whatever amount of people you think you need to defeat a raid. The maximum is the number total that you can invite (ex. You can invite up to 5 people)

So for example, if I'm hosting a clefairy raid, and I think I just need one other person's help, my minimum is myself plus another person, which would be 2. But I can invite up to 5 people, plus myself, for a total of 6. So I would put - host clefairy 2 6.

You can specify how many people you want when you are hosting for instannce in your case it would be something like -host deoxys 11 11 where you are then put into a private channel with the people joining you and you can tell 5 of them to add you and another to add your kids account to get a total of 10 players into the raid

Once everyone has joined the raid you can type -close to close that channel and do another host like -host deoxys 6 6 where another 5 can add your other kids account

Lecacy raids are the old way of getting into raid, which the first people to reply "in" to a post get in. The new method (which are in the Raids channels) is our bot method where all you do it click 👍 under the post.

Joining a raid:
Go into the corresponding chat of the Pokémon you desire.
Just react to the thumbs up emote (thumbsup ) on the host's command message that will appear after 5 seconds. Only the first people get in depending on how many the host set for maximum.
Do not react to the bot's message

Once you've committed to a raid by reacting, if you were one of the first ones within the maximum, you can not back out of it even if you try revoking your reaction.

In the private room: The host may close the private room at any time with -close. If not, you can leave with -leave after 10 minutes.
if you do not -leave or -close a lobby, you will not be able to join another one until you do.

Old Method:
If you would like, the old method is still available in the legacy category. Where you just type "in" after a host posts, first in first serve 👍

I try to edit a proper thumbs up emote into it but it just goes to the end each time lmao

@iron rain This is probably a side effect of the bandaid I put over the reaction collector. For a bit of context, discord API or at least the library I’m using has a built in reaction collector that counts and awaits reactions on messages. When it detects that it has hit maximum reactions or a time limit it reached, it stops. This is all fine and dandy, except in some cases on this server. Because people react so quickly and all at once, sometimes the collector picks up too many people. It then has to shave this list down to the first x it collected where x is the desired amount of people. If you happen to be in this overflow, you will be temporarily counted as in a raid even if the lobby doesn’t form with you in it. I hope this makes sense I tried to put it in easy terms.

Hi @slim storm if you get selected to join that raid you will be able to jump into a private chat room with the host and all the other invitees

it will pop up in the sidebar

there will be instructions in there but basically you will friend request the host and they will communicate when they are sending the invite

once you get a raid under your belt it's really smooth and easy

The first number is the minimum people you will accept into the raid + you and the second number is the maximum + you
So 6 6 means 5 members minimum and the lobby wont be created until that minimum number is hit

If you actually got into the raid, a channel will open up for you to communicate with the other participants in. If you don’t see that channel, you didn’t actually get in.

The bot posts everyones name with a comma between so you can copy&paste it into the friend search bar ingame, doing this there is no way you can invite people who shouldn't be there

This change should not affect your chances at getting into a raid from delay as delay from when the thumb appears and you clicking is the same as previously, you just wait 5 seconds this time before initiating. I can guarantee tho it will be harder to get in as now its easier for everyone to hover over the thumbs up area in preparation, it may be sucky but its fair

There is no limit as to how many people can click the thumbs up. The bot just takes the first people until the second number is met
