What does boosted mean?

Boosted means that the weather has boosted the Pokémon’s level you catching it at! So for a dragon type like rayquaza, windy weather boosts it!
So instead of catching it around the 2100 CP mark you get it at 2600 CP or so

So in the raid channels,
Go into the channel with the pokemon you want, then once someone hosts a raid, indicate that you are interested. Only the first people to do so are allowed in, and you are expected to add the host.
If there are not enough people (as specified by the post) by the 20 second mark, then leave at the 20 second mark and communicate in the chat.
or you can use the new bot
Just react to the thumbs up emote (👍 ) on the host's command message. Only the first people get in depending on how many the host set for maximum.

An example of the numbers would be "-host @raidtype 5 6" meaning minimum of 5 joining, maximum of 6 (tip if you need exactly 5 people to join do 5 6 as the 6 is a spot for the bot)

So for the bot you can add upto 10 people in one lobby, then you can split them in 2 groups
so you can type -host @ray 6 11
this will allow a maximum of 11 people in the private channel (including yourself)
the first 10 people to like your post will be put in the channel and you will exactly who they are on the top
then you can send inv to first 5 then send to the next 5
then after you got everyone in a raid you can close the channel and repeat

The bot has the “-host” then a space to type what the raid is because we have more than one raid channel/Pokémon, then the min/max. The ping is needed for now especially in a place like #740032536163647520 where there’s more than one Pokémon to raid for!

Had a question about the new bot team making system for raids. the example given on #739691653949816842 page has a 3 6 between the raid to be hosted and the @ to alert everyone, does anyone happen to know what that 3 6 stands for? Am i just dumb because i can't think of what it means? Lol

@tight solstice The normal ones, work on a system where the first 5 people to comment “in” to a host get in the raid, in the beta raids, there will be a thumbs up emoji when the host posts a raid, and when the first 5 people tap the thumb they get added to a private channel with the host

It’s called the “beta” because we the raid bot we use is new and we’re still working out the kinks, but we planning on implementing that for all raids in the near future

if you're one of the first (however many) add them in game

you reply in for the non-beta channels and if you are within the number of people the host needed, you will get some form of indication that you are in. then you add the host. For the bot ones, emote to the host's message and the bot will invite you to a channel for the raid. hi there im confused and need some explanation! are the bot raid channels for raids or praising admins? ive been told im allowed to post about doing multiple lobbies but my messages get deleted (im guessing as "clutter"). im posting a reminder to help the community but it seems only messages having nothing to do with raids are allowed on the bot raid servers?

I have an issue with new bot system. When someone is starting to host people would thumb up and bot would mention these 5 people under the messege but if too many people thumb up it will disappear. This is the thing. But because of that the host message that I need to thump up is jumping up and down and when 10 people are spamming it's had to click on the reaction. Sorry for broken english, hope it's understandable

I'll take this feedback into consideration. The goal is to make the bot easily accessible for all users. It is hard striking a balance between ease of tapping the react and also showing adequate information about the raid. If enough people bring this up, perhaps we will get rid of the live editing feature and just have it change to FULL. Let me know what you think.

The only problem with this would be that they just have it removed and don’t know why, so they continue to do it, where as if we tell them, they know what they did wrong and not to do it again

semi-related, @livid rain is there any way your bot can save the tags of the players away from the nick but still post it in the bot chat? its less of an issue when you host once because you only have to keep track of people's names once but I was having a really tough time keeping track because of all the people adding on top of the 15-20 people involved

Yes that is a highly requested feature. Eventually we would like to store all the friend codes in a dictionary of sorts that only the bot can see. It will then display the code in the lobby when it is created. For now though, the bot relies on the host's display name to produce the correct code. We are issuing warnings to people who add who arent involved in the raid, so if you want to call them out let one of us know.

I love magic! Yes there is a small monthly fee, but the server owner has graciously offered to cover it for as long as this server is around as a hobby project. There is no need for donations of any sort-- the server is 100% free.

Can you explain how getting into the raids work

Sure. So we basically have two different ways. Legacy is the old way, where a host will post and the first 5 to reply (usually "in") will be invited.
Our newer way uses bots and is under "raids". When someone hosts there, the first 5 to react with a thumbs up will be put into a seperate group in raid lobbies with the other 5 people.

Then in that group you will add the host and they will invite you
Yeah so when in that seperate lobby everyone will add the host, then he will send out invites.
You can all chat with eachother so its easy to coordinate everything.

Well channels are already organized by specific raidboss. If you want a particular one, go to that channel and wait for someone to host.

That's what I'm saying. We don't post stuff like that on the server. If we allowed that, everyone new person that joins would be saying that. Instead, people go to the channel they are looking for, wait for a host, and then join them. Simply putting "looking for Metagross" doesn't help anything, it just spams chat.
If you want metagross, head to #740032536163647520 and wait for someone to host a metagross, and then react with a thumb up.
Or if you'd prefer to just reply to the person, head to #737318417643733166

You can join raids by going to their respective channels and waiting for a host to post one

so the easiest way would be to use #741177447936032768 as you just have to type -host deoxys 6 6 the numbers represent the minumum amount of people you need for the raid and the maximum is how many you are able to take . once the people who are interested have joined you will have access to your own private channel where you can talk with the people joining you to the raid. they will add you so you dont have to worry about adding them

So how exactly does the raid bot work? I'm not sure what the numbers at the end mean

The numbers on the end are the minimum and maximum people you need for the group
This number includes the host
So if you need 4 people you'd put 5 5 , most people put 6 6 cuz you can add upto 5 people remotely to a raid
