litematica not working?

when I'm holding a stick it doesn't show what mode I'm in at the bottom left corner of the screen, I use to be able to use litematica but it just doesn't want to work. I don't see any settings for it either which their use to be it's own separate thing. which I uploaded a photo of what I'm talking about but it is for axiom and not litematica.

could this be a modrinth issue or something to do with my game? any help is appreciated.
