#A question about unlisted modpacks

So I have a 1.21.1 Fabric Modpack that I originally uploaded to Modrinth, and well it did not get published publicly, it was set as unlisted and accessible with a direct link.

I sent the link for it to my friends who wanted to play on my server, and it worked, everyone was able to download the instance, and play on the server since it included all the mods. The plan was that any updates to the modpack would be easily accessible by everyone updating to the latest version of the modrinth modpack instance rather than messing around with the files themselves.

Anyway I recently did the first update for the modpack, and uploaded a new verison to modrinth, but it is not accessible at the moment. Last night, a couple hours after I uploaded it, I had the option to select a modpack verison, but it only showed the one verison of my modpack that we were previously using and didn't have the updated verison avaliable. When I checked again today, as shown in the screenshot attached to this message, currently when you try and switch the modpack verison it just has a spinning wheel that says "fetching modpack details" (i've already restarted modrinth multiple times to fix it)

So my questions are 1. Can users of an unlisted modpack receive verison updates, or are verison updates not supported for unlisted modpacks

  1. If I get the modpack approved and uploaded publicly, will everyone be able to now update their current instance that was previously the unlisted version, or will they have to download a brand new instance?

Reason I wanted to know is because it would be highly preferable if everyone could use their pre-existing instance and update it to the latest verison, because switching to a new instance would involve redoing all keybinds, settings, and moving over Xaero Map Data, Resource Packs, etc.
