modpack which previously worked doesn't

hey guys. I have a modpack that previously worked for me and currently still works for my friend but refuses to work for me ): it use to crash but now it doesn't even crash it just uses all my cpu power on my pc and then stays not responding. (for instance my friend can run this on their laptop and my pc is significantly better than a laptop) any help would be appreciated i miss playing with my friends
