I think it's bot possible because some mods are not even 1.20.1 so just make the modpack with the same mods from your 1.20.1 world but in a 1.21 modpack and the mods have to be 1.21 then get yoir 1.20.1 worl din yoir 1.21 world and it shiuld work but first create a backup

Steps to Transfer Mod Settings:Backup: Copy your .minecraft folder or the folder of your modded instance.Locate Configs: Find the config folder and any other mod-specific folders.Copy Configs: Save these folders to a safe location.Update Minecraft: Upgrade to the new version (e.g., 1.21) and update your mod loader.Reinstall Mods: Get the latest versions of your mods for 1.21.Restore Configs: Move your saved config folder and other mod-specific folders back into the .minecraft directory.Tips:Check Compatibility: Ensure mods are updated for the new Minecraft version.Review Docs: Check for any changes in config file formats.Use Mod Managers: If using MultiMC or ATLauncher, follow the same steps in the instance directories.Test: Launch the game and test to ensure settings are applied correctly.By following these steps, you should be able to transfer your mod settings when updating Minecraft versions
