my java 17 directory was deleted after selecting it on the launcher. now i have to reinstall it. fix this bug, please.

so basically

i set java 17 to be where my directory for it was

i installed 1 mod then was unable to install more

#

an error said there was no java directory

#

i looked in my files and the entire folder for java 17 was gone

So..Unfortunately, I was unable to reproduce this bug on a Windows 10 VM. I'm not entirely sure what caused you to have this issue.

theres an unrelated problem that i dont know what is causing it, do you think i could ask for help with it in your dms or smth? no channels here seem to fit for this issue

I doubt this was caused by the launcher
