They didn’t touch it for a while. This is wild. They’re trying to get the save file for me now

#

They looked for the json

Are they on mac?

#

it looks like they probably just need to verify their files in steam: right click on the game in library > properties > installed files > verify

Passed the message on. Yeah they’re a Mac user

icy tundra
#

Yeah the directory for saves for mac is different; I can say where if the above step doesn't fix it

brisk dirge
#

They did the fix but it didn’t fix it

What Mac os is it? Saves are located

~/Library/Application Support/com.Unwound-Games.Echoes-of-the-Plum-Grove/Unwound Games/Echoes of the Plum Grove

#

If they just started they can also try the legacy branch which code is "legacyVersion" in betas; not sure why some Macs are weird

brisk dirge

hi this is the friend
my saves are being saved in the steam cloud but they aren't locally saving to my computer and i think thats the problem
i tried making the folder in my application support folder myself, but it still doesnt seem to be saving on my computer

#

i originally had echoes on windows (i have an intel mac) and it seem like its trying to save my game in windows bc the name and location on the steam cloud sounds like a windows folder

#

i deleted windows 11 on our computer and most of the texturesare back, mainly just missing some of the cooking, worbench, and villagescreen ui

icy tundra
#

verifying files again might help, saves and texture data are in two different places

strong lodge
#

interesting
im not sure whats going on with it

icy tundra
#

Odd that verifying doesn't work; did you try switching to the legacy branch to see if that fixes it?

strong lodge
#

how do you do that exactly?
