For servers (and Singleplayer if you prefer using the INI to the UI, like me), there's the ActiveMods line in GameUserSettings which takes the list of mod ids and loads them in that order

Random question, does the Gen 2 mating buff just mess with timers and imprints as a rule or something. With them on our dinos were mating instantly on 4x and the imprints were way over 4x rates. Just asking if I need to hard disable them or not because while we want 4x rates we dont' want people running an egg factory to pump out dino mutations 24/7.

Asking cause I admin cleared the buffs and the dinos are working properly again, just asking if thats a gen 2 thing normally of if I borked a setting.

there are a couple things to do when messing with the gen2 effects. but the mating buff will mess with timers and imprints because if it doesn't then the dinos won't be able to get 100% imprint.

Weird question maybe but is there any kind of setting or something I can do in the ini files that stop me from getting basically half my inventory full of skins?

I just get spammed with skins from explorer notes everytime I transfer clusters or die of course and have to just end up dropping everything in my inventory most the time just to clear out like 4 sets of skins I'd have in it

On my cluster all the loot crates only allow me to grab 1 item from the regardless of them having multiple items after I grab the 1 item the loot crates disappears even though it has more stuff in it

its not the elevators I'm worried about its the elevator tracks, the elevators themselves are fine, the tracks on the other hand can only hold 3000. I'll check out where in the ini it would be though. I run a cluster on gportal so finding mod ini settings is a bit tricky

Hey all! just started playing modded PVE with some friends again, i was wondering, is there a mod that somehow replaces all the TEK / Technical stuff with more medieval fitting items? for example the power stuff, metal etc. we kinda want items that are similar in terms of usefull as TEK, but that arent TEK visually, hope people understand my point 🙂 thanks in advance!

You don't need tek stuff for anything really

The castle and keep mod doesn't need tek to run anything, you could use a generator or even windmills to power stuff

They have functional objects like furnaces and such that look like viking stuff, or whatever eco mod you decide to do

If you want to keep it medieval, you don't really need a fabricator

Saddles are all smithy except the crazy ones, and there are good enough weapons in the smithy to not really need fabricated ones

Eco makes really good mods too, very smooth and very well put together, and the designs of the reskins they do on some of the objects in the game are pretty awesome

Uh, it's close to the same speed, it's not a chem bench replacement, but it has a much higher slot cap for large projects

-Creatures where the random replacements will replace them into something else on that map (eg dinopithecus on Island get turned into raptors)

Glowbugs may fall into 'not loaded' since untameable- you can check by trying to admin summon it with Summon, that won't work if it's not loaded until you spawn it with bp path- the rest are fine so your code is wrong

If you can use mods, use the mod "Simple Spawner" and you can spawn anything on any map, you can even place nest for eggs and all that sort. I also noticed that some dinos work better with the simple spawner considering I edited Deathworms into my crystal isles map and could never get a single one to show up even with it at a high spawn entry but as soon as I started using simple spawner they spawn like normal and don't bug out and get trapped under the map like they did when I edited them into the ini

Simple spawners can also set spawns for modded dinos

I usually run KBD first since it's a dino overhaul, you can just stop the server and hit the arrows on one mod until it goes where you want it. But otherwise looks okay

Hmm good point, I'll probably do that one first and keep the rest in that order, like I said though everything runs fine just felt like if I had it in a different order the mods may load faster when logging in? But that does make sense to put first since its one of the bigger mods

Make sure it's under the header, and make sure the file saved and was edited when ark was closed. It also won't remove existing ones so you'll need to have dinowiped for it to take effect

Open steam--> click on the second option ( view? mine is in german.. 😄 ) then click on "server" --> then favourites --> add server --> type in your ip followed by a : and then the port - no spaces in between. Load Ark. Click join Ark. Set the options to favourites and if it's a modded server tick the box as well. You should see the server.

If some stuff has been put under the wrong header maybe but Game likes to clean itself of shit it doesn't like anyway

The game.ini just gets parsed into ingame values, and it is very hard to break the parser if the values are done right

Way they've worded it sounds like everything after a specific point is breaking to me, which would be quite coincidental for all their code to be wrong after one point

No not in increments of 5, you can mod the dino max level to about 999 but outside that I'm sure there is no way to just do it in increments of 5

(I only say 999 cause thats as far as I wanted to take it in my ini file I'm sure you can go higher)

I have simple spawners mod but seems the resource spawner doesn't cause mutagel to show up so was wondering if there are any other methods of adding a resource to a map, or is mutagel just locked to gen 2 since its a space biome mat

i added mutagel or mutagen to boss loot drops, rag volcano drop, and aberration earthquake drop. you can use the fertile and bio earthquake for gel and higher chance for gen in the red zone

Max lvl of 120 is diff 4, so increments of 4
You also can’t have increments of 5 and a max of 120 without mods

When I check the simulator with the Beacon app it says everything is working fine

But have yet to get a single drop or any of the change to the drops

Milk isn't in death drops naturally, so you don't need to do anything with it

The mutagen code was already fine because it doesn't matter that the drop inv is modded. Mutagen is still mutagen

The reason the drops didn't work was because the wyvern only uses one at once. The one it's using is modded, so you needed to make it use the modded one. But you can have multiple items in the one drop inventory

I will say spamming people multiple times won't help you get a answer any faster, and you left out information, are you playing a unofficial server, or are you playing LAN? Is it happening in a cluster server or just a single map? If its on a cluster, then try to make a new character on a different map and transfer over to the ones your friends are on, if not and If all your friends are able to make characters but it is greyed out for you then you'll most likely have to have the Admin of the server delete your profile files, located in: \ShooterGame\Saved\SavedArks\ (which is named same as your steam64 ID) and this long few days respawn is gone, though you'll have to start from 0 again.

Ensure that the new server doesn't have a profile already for your character. Also make sure the server version and your game version match. Or you can just delete your profile from the server and create a new char.

Pretty sure that's just changing the hatch time for eggs so it should be something like

So for faster hatching you'd change the EggHatchSpeedMultiplier=x.x x being the number you decide to go with

The rest is just trial and error of changing the numbers depending on how fast you want the gestation to go

I could be wrong about the hatch speed though so if so please anyone feel free to correct me, I make mistakes all the time, but I'm pretty positive that's what you're looking for xD

Please help. Last night, I lost my character by dying at the moment of transferring on the cluster I play on. The admin was kind enough to give me xp on a new character to get my levels back and he did the DefeatBoss command with my implant ID. Decreasing wild dino resistance will make them take more damage and hence more torp, but also they'll take more damage from attacks

never got a response to this... i just now tried to download the 3 last minor patches and my update bat file just verifies my files and doesnt download the update.... your patch notes says its a server update... why cant unofficial servers download theses patches? any reason?

I think there might be some files that are exclusive to official servers. All of my maps are on ver 345.6 and running the event with no issues.

Maybe an over spawn issue. Do a backup then roll back to a know good time. If that fixes it you may have to start searching in ghost mode for over spawns

Had to start and stop the server and call nitrado to restart seems to be running smoothly now but we will see I believe overspawn had a huge part of it

You can try add the mod it's from, there's a chance they've added it to recovery

If not, nope. Grab it from a backup or revert to a backup

For the future you can use the dino storage mod instead of cryopods- which has multiple protections against stuff like that

Hello. I have 80h in ARK and im stucked :c i have started again my world 3 times with my bf. Right now we have 1 spino and 1 terizinosaur. Before my 3rd new world we have had the same dinosaurs and we went on the 'trip' for new one and to explore the world and we died. Now we always leave them in base cuz we are scared that it will happen again. We cant tame anything cuz everything is killing us except raptor. I really dont know what should we do and how to make progress. Can someone help me? Give me advice or tell me what should i do step by step? Im playing on 1st map 'The island' and also im new on the dc server so if im writing on wrong chat just let me know

A Spino and a Theri are perfectly reasonable dinos to go out on as long as your careful about the fights you pick

If your concerned about exploring safely the most we can suggest is to tame a flyer (probably Ptera's)

Someone dropped eggs on the map and its preventing new nests/eggs from spawning. You will need to delete the eggs and remind players to eat them instead of dropping them. You can use this cheat code to get rid of dropped fertilized eggs but be sure no one has any down on the ground incubating at the time (eggs in inventories are safe such as refrigerators or player inventories) Use: cheat destroyall DroppedItemGeneric_FertilizedEgg_NoPhysicsCrystalWyvern_C 1 to destroy unwanted dropped eggs.

Well levels mods mods nowadays are stackable- Work on any mod's additions. With code, you'd have to rewrite any mod additions too (which may or may not even be accessible to SubtractNPC, meaning you'd still get the low levels.. reports are mixed and seem to vary depending on spawner? Not to mention having to work out the mod's spawns in the first place, if they aren't listed on Obelisk) As well as hoping you've got it right for the official spawns and not missing any updates (such as the redwoods getting nuked and replaced with LI's)

No, every single player world is basically its own server. So whatever you do on 1 will not affect the other maps. The only time they will be affected is if you are transferring your characters across.

As if you say decide to return to The Island after Aberration and do not bring your character back, well you will need to create a new character as well as any progress you have done on the Island would be lost.

So I have a save on abberation that I’ve been working on for a while but the save is corrupted and I can’t validate so I want to start a new character on that map but don’t want to lose my old save just in case it fixes itself in the future.
