The setting you mentioned is in there. Defaults are at a pretty basic almost vanilla setting.

for long term it will be cheaper, when you look at server renting costs ( low RAM is my biggest issue ) it affects a lot if you play with mods like CKF and Shiny dinos!

the rates/evo do not effect anything besides officials. you'll have to either use the dynamic ini (don't know how :P) or change the rates yourself.

Unless you're disabling dino taming or something, 5x tops seems plenty to me. Tame a bronto or a stryder and 5x will flood you with berries.

Could someone help me. I have a unofficial server, and I'm setting up structures to auto decay in 8 days and Dino's to be claimable in 8 day. I've got the the codes right for the count down, however everything is still decaying when the tribe members are online.

Since it's a different repository than what the official servers use It may be Wild Card just isn't releasing the patch to the unofficial networks while the TT event is going on.

Perhaps, though the need to come up with creative solutions (IE Survive the Ark overrides and mission disabling plugin by Pelayori) would be nice to not have to do to keep a server running. Though that does come with the territory of being an administrator in the first place.

so, i was having a stable experience on my server (0-10ms) but all of a sudden i started to have a ping of 200-260ms any idea of what could have caused it?
it started to happen in the middle of the server running, so i dont suspect a mod issue, even tho i tried to fully restart my whole pc (wich is hosting both the server and my game client) but it didnt fix the problem, when my friends connect to the server they have a nice ping (20-60ms)

Hey does anyone know how to fix the black screen issue? I literally play on an unofficial server with 5 people and my screen goes black and my gpu fans rev up. I got this with halo infinite but not anymore since a patch came out and I found I had 2 corrupted files with ark which I reinstalled and still have the problem. It even happen while I was on google but I can play Overwatch and halo and other games but not ark which I used to play well and all the time so can anyone help?

This isn't really a configuration issue, more of a server side problem. When a player dedicated server crashes, it takes 3-7 days to appear back on the servers list. Is there reasoning behind this? If a server crashes the only way for players to join back is to add the gamertag which is running the server. If they don't know the gamertag they cannot join back.

Yeah, I get that. My own save corrupted at one point too (before I knew to make backups), and it was utterly disheartening even though I didn't have very long in it. I wonder if Studio Wildcard has figured out that their patch notes for servers in the pc-patch-notes are not actually being uploaded to steam. I go onto the Unofficial filtered server section and the max i see is 340.3, not 340.12 like their servers are. Do steam server hosts not need the exo mech and exploit fixes that are critical to official servers?

i was going to edit spawn in STA wave 1 but them they announced the patch. i'm certain the moment i commit to editing the spawns, they'll apply it. my preference is to tinker with config on more of a schedule rather than rebooting servers for edits all the time

In terms of world progress? Honestly, it mostly shows in the obscene amounts of creatures I've tamed (I'm very much a hoarder/collector). Was ~23k on that save, even with mods that helped reduce the amount of dinos I needed to hoard for mutation colours
Got most of the bosses done, was working my way up to Alpha Gen1 when Gen2 came out and I started fresh on there, that's where I'm sitting atm

Yeah I do a fair bit of mutation breeding. Dino storage helps cull off all the babies I don't need, and Extra QoL Items allows me to store colours as items so I don't need to hoard a dino for each colour in each region

Only thing I can think of is that the tek bridge engram was disabled on just gen 2. Make sure this command isn't somewhere if your game.ini: OverrideNamedEngramEntries=(EngramClassName="EngramEntry_TekBridge_C",EngramHidden=True)

Can definitely get that, breeding in particular. they were the hardest ones to judge there tbh, since so much of it comes down to preference, and the balance between.. well, balance, and fighting rng and such is hard. If there's anything I'd boost further, i agree, would definitely be those ones, they're definitely a 'tweak to your liking'.
Also agreed on super long tames- I used to play on x125 or something ridiculous like that- till i realised that the longer taming times encourage using kibble, which I hadn't touched before trying 2x. Theriz are I think about 45min with kibble on 2x, which is quite a pain I'll agree but it's much more reasonable on 4 or 5x

Yeah, I like low harvest too. Gives you incentive to obtain and breed better and more variety of dinos for harvesting, and I've never found 2x particularly grindy (though I do understand some people just don't like grinding for mats at all, and that large bases could be a pain)

Anyone know what to set SupplyCrateLootQualityMultiplier=? at to match official server rates? I'm running a private Island server with Difficulty Offset of 1 and Override Official Difficulty of 5 to get max level 150 creatures. My hosting service, SurvivalServers, defaults SupplyCrateLootQualityMultiplier to 5 which makes everything drop Ascendant basically, however when set to 1 everything is pretty much grey quality. I'm just trying to as closely as possible match official server settings.

Yea it is about the official maps. I don’t think they can wipe unofficial maps, because the owners pay to have them. Unless ark had to take down a server for some legal reasons or something.

@thorny spear Crystal Wyverns are slightly faster than the regular kind, and are pretty easy to tame; they work well enough for egg theft. Tropeos and space dolphins can also outpace wyverns easily enough.

i've been having a bunch of areas on my unofficial rag server with no spawns. If running multiple servers it can be beneficial to pin them to dedicated threads and or cores. Windows Scheduler isn't always the best at keeping server processes separated.

You can't simply remove cryos from the game unless you modify the supply beacons to not have them in their loot table otherwise they will despawn soon as you remove one item

I need some assistance. I have a nitrado server and use expert mode for ps4,

I've had an issue where heavy turrets are not auto locking and shooting explosives. I've looked online but I'm not finding any code for it.

Does your router have nat loopback? That may be a reason why you can't see it on local network

So here's a random question, when baby's are in a maewing saddle are they in-stasis in a cryopod-ish state with only a reduction in some server calculations such as the animations? Tame limit doesn't go down in a saddle so I just want to know from a performance perspective if it's better to be on a maewing or off a maewing. Looking for balance options for the mega breeder tribes against typical server loading.

Turned flyer speed leveling on and now no admin spawned flyers are rideable...anyone know how to fix this? Besides turn it off again lol.

If I turn flyer speed levelling off I can spawn and ride.
Same spawn code I use with it turned off and it works then.

That might explain why they act different- forcetaming overrides riding preventions.
Though not why flyer speed levelling would be linked to it in the first place..

Do you use a server host or any other form of software to manage your configs? Maybe they're linking the configs somehow, you could try directly edit the INI and see if that changes anything? Ensure that the flyer riding prevention is set to nothing, and set speed levelling on manually?

Trying to understand the SDF command. I am on PS4. So It either works or not. and often it does not work trying to spawn in variants that do not have a easy name. Like Gen 1 creatures , but if I have to type out the entire entry name it does not.. So any insight would be helpful. for example I type in
Admincheat SDF Gigant 0 150. It spawns a wild level 150 Giga.
I do the same command with the full name Admincheat SDF Gigant_Character_BP_C 0 150 and nothing happens.
I guess I am just wondering why. My end goal would be to spawn in temporary wild dino variants at specific levels.
Unless this is another spawn command that can spawn in wild creatures? Thank you
