I assume that the cryofridge requirement remaining in ASA pvp is to make it harder for meshers. Which is somewhat good but it's still hampering the game (every server one wants to scout or day trip on needs a cryofridge and gen invested and is a nuisance.). A better way of keeping the best of both worlds would be to make it so cryos can be thrown everywhere regardless of enemy players, but make it so they can't be thrown near enemy foundations unless a friendly cryofridge is nearby. This way would mean meshers would be restricted to the same degree as now (as foundations in the cave can block placement or at least make it harder), and open world pvp and scouting won't have to bother with cryofridge gens everytime.

The only legit players affected will be raiders and defenders, but that's fine as raiders already need to bother with raid prep and holding ground with turrets anyway, so a spare fridge isn't much in that instance and defenders more than likely will have at least one fridge invested in their base anyway. It will also make the game look better without all the cryofridges spammed everywhere. Or if meshers are not the reason, remove the restrictions

you can get in and out of it with a tek suit. No grapples, no zipline, no chairs, no uncryoing and mounting a tame, no ladder, no sleeping bag placed through to spawn in or its bannable. Your allowed to crouch in and out. Once inside, can you see into the mesh or access the mesh ? If so bannable. If all of the above are sound, can you spawn in it with a bed. If you can, your good to go.

Honestly the cryos and removal of cave/rathole meta without replacing with a viable meta (excluding being in a massive tribe) really hurts any solo or small tribe and really hurts anyone not able or willing to be on a massive tribe or on 24/7. They need a game mode like ORP and the removal of needing a powered fridge for cryos. I feel like the PVP meta has been falling off and getting more and more basic/stale. The new tribe tower was a bit of a point in the right direction but its also a massive eyesore seen from everywhere that's too easy to raid and destroy especially because extinction is so flat and open now.

I'm only even saying it here because when I put in basically the same thing in survive the ark game suggestions and it got deleted.. I've played this game in PVP since the beginning of ASE when cryos weren't even a thing.. I've watched PVP and this game have its ups and downs but it feels like we're getting ignored and imo they're trying to make PVP like rust which really doesn't work with the dinos items and really the entire system of PVP in the game currently.. they have listened to some of my suggestions like world bosses to spice things up a bit, but back in the day minus ratholes or caves with crouch points you used to see so many different meta and techniques to raiding and how to build in different spots and now it's all just gone. They're not giving any info on it except that they want people to move away from caves an such but they're not giving any other solid places to build, the new blade wasp turrets help a smidgen and to an extent the same goes with the tribe tower but none of that matters if you're not even able to get to that point without a mega tribe wiping you especially while you're off. Cryos just need to be thrown out like in ASE just not close to enemy structures if they wanted to balance it and they could breathe so much more life back into PVP by adding back in ORP servers and at least catering a couple maps for PVP.. thus far I don't believe there's really been much to any catering to PVP and mainly twords PvE whom they probably perceive as their long term player base somehow but seems to forget that a huge chunk of players were not only in PVP but PVP crossark orp servers that had their own communities full of dedicated players that had absolutely amazing PVP battles/raids vs the now extremely basic metas that don't even look fun anymore imo. I miss being able make a come up and start snowballing on a PVP server, now there's not a pocket giga in sight 😞

PvE gets rather boring imo unless you just like fighting wild dinos/bosses and collecting dinos an such. There are a few unofficials that have PVP zones and PVP events but they're all really controlled same thing goes with a bunch of unofficial servers in general. People want the 1 to 1 replica of ASE with some of the upgrades of ASA like being able to just pick up whatever structure is placed down but the maps and metas not being removed for what they currently are. The PVP community is experiencing a huge crisis imo and doing what everyone else has been doing since ASA dropped and trying to see if getting a unofficial server will help any when in reality it's just giving them more money without actually fixing the root of the problem if that makes sense

It's not like we're asking for much really, just some good maps for PVP instead of all this flat grounds and mountains where any bases are out in the open to avoid being absolutely destroyed when the first mega tribe sees it and cryos to be fixed so you can at least farm with out fear/complications that will also help remove the spam of fridges and gens everywhere on the maps that made frames worse and the ability to have ORP again so when stuff like extinction happens we don't all get wiped because of not being able to drop everything and just log on which the last part would saved hundreds of people their bases that they spent hundreds of hours to make just to be wiped when they can't hop on

I've seen at least a dozen replicas like what we're talking about and they all go away within a year of being opened on unofficial 😦

God, I hate the unofficial server meta right now so much. They try to make it attractive by adding infinite weight, kits, and shops, but it just ends up ruining the entire progression of the game. Also, the INI meta sucked in ASE arguably worse than cheaters because you can't be banned for using it. It's nice that they’ve sort of fixed that in ASA. I miss when you killed someone with a primitive longneck, and seeing that 400 hide felt like such a godsend

They were on ASE and were pretty popular and had a long term player base. They even had their own discords separate from wildcard that players started. They were a massive community that got left in the dust in ASA that's been trying to get wildcard to put them back since drop. The lore runs deep. And yes it's official servers with ORP and they were very successful in ASE.

Everything that happened to official for any events or anything also affected cross ark servers as well. I still stand by saying to this day you won't see a raid or alliance war like what you would on CA13.

I'm just trying to save you from the actual headache starting a unofficial like everyone else will continue to cause. One of our biggest issues of not being able to get wildcard to listen to us instead is unlike PvE, we're not all getting together and screaming what we want simultaneously. Look at the extinction map drop for example, everyone's getting what they wanted because wildcard was berated for 2 days straight.

Me and others saying it by ourselves? Now that's gotten me banned on survive the ark until some dev had a heart and removed my ban after a hour or so. Now my suggestions are just getting deleted because they probably think I'm the only one making a fuss about this but in reality it's all of us

Especially after all of Xbox being wiped off the face of the ark because they couldn't log on due to technical difficulties on a companies end, if that doesn't scream we need the ORP crossark official servers back, idk what does.

I promise you, anyone who ever played on those especially long term would immediately go right back to them @vapid abyss I know you're not in charge of every little decision with this but please help voice this I want nothing but the best for the game I've spent at least 5 years on at this point and would've killed to be in that room making this game a better place.

I will say all the catering to PvE is just speculation, but from the standpoint of the PVP community that's really what it looks like to us 😦 especially coming from cross ark 😦

I personally think both the PVE and PVP player bases are treated poorly. It feels like the PVP balancing developer is a PVE player with only 200 hours on ARK, trying to balance the game based on their own limited experience. They’re doing their best, but it’s clear they're getting a lot wrong. Do you understand what I mean? Like, yeah, we got the new tribe tower, King Titan, etc.—it’s all great for PVP—but guess what? The core problem is still there. People are RMT’ing, speed hacking, aimbotting, ESP’ing, meshing, and exploiting in all sorts of ways. Some are even sharing accounts and playing 24/7 to completely wipe every single person on the server (even new spawns just trying to punch a tree for their first wood to make a stone pickaxe). They want people to quit, and for good reason. People just can't survive on the official servers.

I'm saying this because I spawned into an official Extinction server, punched a tree for 5 seconds, and got two-tapped by a pistol. I spawned in the same spot again, only to get killed by the same guy during my spawn animation. So, I transferred to Sanctuary to get off that trash server, only to get killed by a level 133 melee bob who was probably duping (I saw three identical-level owls dead next to each other). It’s just impossible to survive like this.

They used to have diversity in what you could do in PVP and it's gotten smaller and smaller.

@indigo ibex another thing that was brought in the new DLC was the bio grinder and that thing makes no sense.
It provides u with kibble when u grind dinos but guess what? that thing is massive absolutely huge. so if ur a small tribe u will never be able to use it. but if ur a big tribe theres absolutely no point because u will have all the dinos to already just make the kibble 😂

You're right man but also almost nothing recently brought in can be used by anyone outside of a mega tribe. Even the new tribe tower that thing is easy to raid and a eyesore that will have people flocking for easy matts quick

The timing helps don't get me wrong, but the mega tribes killed off anyone who wasn't in one and what's the point if it's only 2 huge tribes playing on the server?

At that point go play battlefield and mod it with dinos you'll get the same experience
