A guy on my server let me tag along when he did it. He used a deinonychus, 5-7 rexes and a yuti. I didn't see the stats, but I imagine fully mutated and with capped saddles. He did the dragon solo on the deinonychus while I hung back at the spawn point. Then the rexes killed the monkey and manticore. Didn't lose any dinos. The yuti fell asleep because I'm bad.

Starting with gamma and working your way up is also OK. Then you have a goal to work towards. I did gamma with 9 bred rexes, a yuti and a daeodon, all bred and un-mutated. I think my rex saddles were around 80 armor. If you're limited to the Valguero map, then getting the rex saddle BP is the hardest part. There are very few places it can spawn.

do the dragon with a 600 meleee deinonychus, and if you fail just keep on trying until you get it right. you can cheese dragon by standing behind its back leg and hitting it with with a deino
if you /must/ run it more 'safely' as a solo without lines your best bet is to get a full set of 19 shadowmanes levelled fully into health (the damage reduction from shadowmanes applies to dragon breath as well)
but i'd argue getting the set of 19 shadowmanes is more painful than just farming the tributes a few times / raising a few deinonychus in the process of learning how to solo the dragon with a deino
wyvern milk can also help (makes the deino immune to dragon breath once you feed it to the deino)
also note deino strat will only help you kill dragon, not monkey (but getting dragon tekgrams is kind of the main benefit anyway, so..)

tbh either way you should be able to run it with a deino, but the tributes for val are easier to farm if you don't have lines

Biggest thing that killed Ark for me is the rampant cheaters. Last Classic Season a single person with some invincible hack flew in our base. Landed on our roof while 50 heavies were shooting him, rocket the ceiling. Inside we had another 8 heavies which all were shooting him ran up to me and shot a rocket point blank. I died, he didn't. On death screen I could hear and sorta see him rocketing our turrets and destroyed inside genny. Hope this season cheaters will be less of an issue.

Why is it when I look up stuff like, ark raids I dont see thrilling battles on the back of the strongest tames? A heated battle where a tribe marches in on the back on a giant turtle, with tapejara air supports, one guy flying another guy on rockets. The defenders sending out some mutated carbos to soak up turrent ammo. Meanwhile, on top of the base are guys on Velonasaurs, shooting at the air support. But what's this? A flank from behind with the wall climbing thylacolios, they sneak up on the Velonasaur and use the thyla's grab to snatch the riders off the mount and pin him for a easy kill. A defender rushes out of the base. He's using the carbos as cover while he lobs a couple cluster grenades, but the attackers deploy the raptor squad who make short work of the defender before he gets too many grenades off. The defenders pull out thier strongest defence, two MEKs. And the Attackers follow suit by unleashing thier giga and reaper king respectively and all hell breaks loose.

Instead, it's just some assholes in tek armor spazzing out while trying to spear each other after they used a rocket launcher to punch a small hole in the enemy base. The enemy dinos just sit still and let the attackers kill them for some reason.

tapes are used for Tek saddles, not to carry people
megachelon are used for oxygen underwater, not land pushes
velos are more relevant in cave PvP and are largely useless vs tape swarms due to numbers
raptors are unfortunately terrible in the meta rn
and meks would be used by the attackers to destroy structures, rather than as defense

Turtles only soak turrets on "survivors and tames", "tamed creatures" (basically never used) and "all targets"

turrets are typically on a spread of settings including mounted tames/survivors and survivors only

so carbos only soak some turrets

And if you're defending, attackers will typically have most turrets on only survivors

I've only tamed a paracer once, when I first played genesis and I was in the swamp, hating life and looking for some muscle to protect me from the constant raptor and kapro attacks.

So what about projectile lauching dinos like the magmasaur and the uh, spike lauching ice and fire stego from lost isles? Do they see a lot of use in pvp?

amargo is semi useful

can use it to things blocking off crouch points but its not the best way to kill them

its useful for the armour shredding spike

Yeah, number 3 in my least favorite places to play is Aberration. I mean, I love the map, it's one of the most beautiful and mystifying game spaces I've ever seen. I could look at it all day. But between the nameless, hydra, raptors everywhere, spinos and ravengers around almost every corner just to name a few. It's not the easiest place to thrive.

Your best bet is to play on unofficial servers. They usually have active admins that will monitor and ban cheaters and will restore any damage done from cheaters. Official is full of hackers and cheaters.

Try to get in as many fights as you can, just make sure to farm a ton so you have the gear to be able to waste. Knowing where to build and hot to build the spot is key, as well as knowing the best loot spots

You can report them via Dodo Mail at the top of the user list for the moderation team to handle it in server, however you can also report directly to discord to get their servers and accounts deleted.
