At the end of Extinction, after we slay the King Titan the Element Toxicity Rating that's keeping the ARKs in space a low enough level for the ARKs to land. The ARKs purge all the Element from the planet and life is restored.

Though Aberration crashes, releasing Rockwell. We don't know exactly how he, or even how we got onto the Genesis Ship, but the most likely case scenario is Arat Prime, which is where the Genesis Ship launched.

There is a connection between the Genesis Ship and Arat Prime that is still active. That's how Helena got in. Mei-Yin Li and Diana Alteres beamed her up there.

That's when Helena created HLN-A for us. Who are we really in Genesis? It's actually kinda of up to you whether or not you're a different Survivor or the same one as before.

Might be both.. switching writers also often ends in wierd differences but with experienced writers often more depends on the writer itself.

"The Wheel of time" books are a good example.. thhe original writer died but gave a lot of his stuff to another writer he was friends with and who knew him very well but still you feel in the books that teh writer changed even Sanderson (the new writer) is experienced and took a lot of care to keep the writing consistent (and yes he did a good job nontheless)

Gen 2 lore is pretty condradicting, especially in the notes and you don’t really get much lore besides some info why the ship exists. For me Gen2 lore is pretty meh. It full of plotholes and some stuff makes no sense at all.
