you cant 'allocate' RAM to a game, it will use as much as it needs, including more than you physically have

if your physical memory runs out, stuff slows to a crawl. unlikely it is doing so on 32GB. what CPU and GPU do you have?

if you dont know, you are on 361 (latest, last i checked). it is extremely buggy and has severe performance issues. unless you need to be on latest to play on specific servers that are not on an older version, you should switch to 358/preaquatica

For the outpost missions - has anyone else had issues with not being able to mount your tame? First one I did - couldn't mount from the start. Second I was able to mount/dismount for 3 rounds - was successful on that one, but I could not mount/open inventories on any of my tames until I relogged. 3rd attempt, occurred during 2nd wave - I relogged between waves and was able to ride for another wave but didn't have time to relog again and same, had to relog to interact at all with my tames.

Is there any way to clear my cloud saves on xbox? I can't access terminals and with some testing I found that it's the creature tab. Hard restart xbox, deleted local saves, no mods, reinstalled game. The problem is worse on single player, game crash as soon as I click the terminal. On a server, I can access the terminal but the game crashes when I try to access the creature tab. Or do I just have to wait for a patch? This problem started with Lost Colony launch.

I am currently on a single player save for scorched earth and I'm breeding Fasolasuchus together for a boss fighting army but I have noticed my dinos say they have more mutations then they should? my original equal stat pair have 0 mutations, and I have managed to get 7 hp mutations on to the line, but for some reason its saying I have 17 mutations through the ancestry (5 from the mother and 12 from the father)? does anyone know why its saying I have more mutations then I actually have, I know that once you get to 20 its harder to get more so I would like to know if this is some sort of glitch or if I am doing something wrong

No and no, reaper pregnancies from other maps won't progress on lost colony atm and you can only transfer veilwyn into lost colony. Even if you tamed a desmo on one lc server you can't take it to another lc server.

So im trying to do research on a specific issue our cluster is having: When uploading/transferring maps sometimes the users will encounter a loading inventory glitch and be unable to transfer or even really open their inventories. Seems to be tied to the ArkCluster Saves? Deleting it seems to solve the issue but also delete their Upload Cache. Do we know if this is a base-game issue that popped up with LC or a mod issue that likely will be stuck with till the creation kit is updated?

I can't say for sure but I highly recommend clustering your servers so that ya can move in between without needing to upload then download your character between them

well, technically, ya still do that but it's much more streamlined as ya are able to take up to 299 stacks of items with ya including your Armor and cosmetics

What ya are doing now is basically running 2 servers that are independent from each other

in order to hop into one, ya must upload your character, place up to 50 items in an Obelisk/City Terminal, Charge Node or Tek Transmitter and upload up to 20 creatures

then download everything back on the other server

Server - hosting my (off site) server on a windows VM, currently running the island, minimal mods (can grab a list if required).

issue: takes a while to log in but meh. i log in, seems fine. hop on argie, fly up from base (in the Footpaw) pretty in the middle on the south coast. i fly up to the redwoods as we have a tree platform and taps collecting sap. i typically get one as i approach the platform. get hte sap. and then make the return journey. i do it in a kind of circluar fashion from the base heading north west, round to sap, then south east back. but once i get back near the base ... these "freezing" things absolutely hammer! i get 5 of them before i can get back to the base and i can not figure it out

ive done a fresh of windows. didnt work. i formatted ALL of my drives and i installede verything again from scratch. ive tried drivers.

i was hoping to get in to some Lost Colony but i cant even bring myself to play at all at the moment cause i cba with the freezes. any suggestions?

Hi All, I am a bit overwhelmed right now.

I have 3 linux machines, 2 clients and a self-hosted server, I have two copies of Ark Survival Evolved. They three machines are on the same subnet.
I am getting unable to query server info for invite when I try to go to my game server. I added the game server as a hardcoded IP with port 27015.
The ips:
192.168.120 - 192.168.1.121 for the clients, 192.168.1.135 for the server. The server's console say nothing. All three machines are running linuxnativeclient.

Any suggestions/ideas

dlss libraries come with the drivers, and more due to bugs and compatibility weirdness. lost colony basically requires the latest nvidia drivers to not crash

23.9.1 really should not work in ASA, though. one of the summer 2024 drivers is outright required for compatibility

Lost unlocked skins (skill tree & outposts) after an update

• Completing more outposts missions helped me re-unlock some
• Unsure if I can unlock the ones from the skill tree again
• Posted most spawn codes in a previous message
  => The default items download settings seems related

Few active mission

• GameUserSettings.ini config tweaks does increase the number of simultaneous missions
• Increasing DinoCountMultiplier helps even further
• Only able to find the 9x Attack missions
• Only saw a Defense mission once
• Never seen a Resouce cache
• All 3 MissionManager have mission types on cooldown, but only the city one has active missions
• Never saw an active mission for the two MissionManager that are not the City
• Alpha Outposts seem to have a long cooldown compared to beta and gamma

NPCs spawn/stay stuck outside of Mission zones

• Unable to complete mission
• Command ForceCompleteActiveMission helps conclude the mission, gets the Sigils and Thralls, but no loot
• Seems often specific to locations (e.g. same NPCs stuck in mesh multiple times for the same mission)

Terminal access leads to crash

FYI: Looks like some mods may get corrupted when transfering between servers. If this happens, it appears to be the cause of some memory access violations.

Note: This was happening even after verifying files and was even affecting loading into single a player world without mods after it started.

The fix: Attempt to verify files as typica, but then also wipe your installed mods folder 'ARK Survival Ascended\ShooterGame\Binaries\Win64\ShooterGame' move or delete both folders.

After re-downloading the errors, and of course restarting the game, this particular memory access violations went away for both single player and modded servers.

Yeah so basically as long as you just upload your character before fully changing maps after you ascend and then redownloading your character on the fresh started map you should be good, thats how i have always done it for years with multiple characters ive made and always had all my levels and engrams still the same as prior to ascending

Sometimes I do tame also lower lv to get the stats in ox and fo lower so i can stack the mutation higher without hitting teh cap lv.
