I can't load my Single Player Valguero save (ASA on steam) after the most recent update. I verified the integrity of my files, deleted the download cache, and all my drivers are up to date. All my other single player saves work fine, but whenever I load Valguero it gets to the loading screen and then force closes (no pop-up, error message, or crash report. It just stops). I have no (and never had) any mods for it either.
Any suggestions on how to fix this would be appreciated.

Idk if this will help but reading a few message from when fear evolved mod was released I noticed some PS5 players sharing advice to use the Uninstall all mods under the Installed Mods tab.
Even if you have no mods installed.
Some of them reported that it fixed the problem for them so I am share under that context.

So steam works in a weird way, updating goess trough a steam library that has most space available, doesn't matter which drive it is, can be a hard drive even, if you make a library on a drive with more space, steam will patch ark trough that drive for you, however it will probably be slow

Had a library on all of those, while hard drive had most space cus i've never been using it, even though ark and steam are both on NVME SSD, patching went trough hard drive because it had most space available, it was going slow af, but when i realised that i removed the steam library from the HDD

After that steam started using the NVME SSD and updating trough that and now patching is fast

How do people get they're dinos to insane levels like 350+ ?
I don't really understand breeding but ik A baby dino's level will not go to more than 150 (Could I be wrong?).

a dino's level is decided by the amount of "points" it has
so 50 hp points, means 51 level (they start at 1)
and repeat that for each stat they have

they don't stop at 150 as a baby

so if you have a high hp mom, with a high weight dad you can get a dino that is higher level then either of the partents

if you add in mutations, 2 points (2 levels) per mutation, and get a lot of those then it adds up quite fast

Think about it this way, let’s say the stats on a Dino are completely the same across the board besides health, if mom is level 200 with 3,000 health and dad is 220 with 3,500 health the baby will either turn out 220 or 200, if it mutates and gets 3,800 health instead it will be 222, combining the highest stats from the parents onto a baby increases level

Hi everyone, is anyone else having problems with cosmetics? My installed mods keep deleting themselves. I then have to download them again, even though they're still showing as installed. Also, some mod components aren't loading in-game, while others work fine. For example, with the Astreos mod, only the refrigerators aren't visible. With the Tiki mod, I sometimes can't place certain items – decorations work, but chairs don't. It's a real mess. I'm playing on a PC.

So ive run into an issue where items i place into storage disapear. They're still there, my buddy and see them I just cant (with the weird exception of cooked meat and dino-depot balls). I've tried restarting my game, restarting my console, and restarting the server. I've made a whole new character for the server. And just uninstalled all mods and am currently reinstalling them. We don't have any mods that effect stack size (saw online that could cause this issue). Anyone else have any ideas or experience with fixing this. It's not just storage boxes, its all storage. Almost all my maps crash as soon as I try to enter them. I can't access any map except Valguero, Extinction & Forglar at the moment. After a long loading time & a lovely black screen I end up back on my console's home screen. It doesn't matter how many "crashes" are fixed, something ALWAYS goes wrong & more than half the entire game is unplayable..
There are still classic bugs like being kicked out when opening various inventories (whether vaults, cryo chambers, dinosaurs, loot crates, etc.), graphical glitches, wobbly structures, flickering pixels on structures especially with (premium!) skins, the missing specs diamond in the inventory, manual saving only partially works, missing ingame sounds (for example when drinking water), artifacts & loot crates in caves simply don't spawn no matter what you do, characters in "orbit" are suddenly copied & you don't know which character was your orginal one, hairstyles & charakter cosmetic skins aren't displayed correctly, some buffs have a delay, the loot quality on wc og maps is generally poor & there are crashes almost every few minutes within the maps which are functional..
It would be very very nice to address the old nasty problems that you've carried over from one (old) ARK to the (new) next. I'm afraid of the X-mas event (which I always used to love the most) after many additional problems with the last one too.. 🦖

that is the most vague and generic software error there is. when does it happen and what is the whole message?

nearly every map crashing is not the game's fault at that point. the ones you mentioned tend to be lower memory load, which probably means you just have way too many mods/savefile bloat, and the others are too big to load on the console's memory. if you cant fix that by cutting mods, you can possibly salvage the saves by loading them on a pc

One of the ways to fix that worked for me, was switching the .exe file to run as admin, you'll get an error starting the game, reboot, reset back to regular none admin. Of course some patches broke it again, this happened for the first week or two of Valgeuero release time wise, and touch wood its been fine every since. ALongside updating drivers etc

yes, because you crashed two different times. it's like a phone number, you could have the same model of phone with the same apps, but each phone has a different number

each crash is an individual phone, given its own individual number, so when wildcard needs to figure out why the crash happened, it can look at the individual log

incredibly generic error, has nothing to do with performance in most cases. if the address is 0 or ffffffff, it usually indicates a bug, often outdated mods or other conflicts. high random numbers can mean memory corruption is occurring

I have a problem. In ASA on Valguero, in my singleplayer world, no dinos are spawning in the Aberration zone. Not even after a dino wipe, and not even if I go AFK in the area and wait. Here and there a few glowbugs spawn, but nothing else not even in the red zone where the Rock Drakes and Reapers are supposed to be.
And I don’t want to rent a server just for myself as a solo player only so dinos will spawn. There must be some way, I mean ARK is also a singleplayer game.
Does anyone know how to fix this? A setting or a mod, or do I just have to stay down there longer?
My guess was that, because the area counts as a cave, nothing spawns if I’m not inside it and that when I am inside it, nothing spawns because all the dinos are up above. But like I said, I did a dino wipe and stood AFK for a while, and almost nothing appeared. I saw about 6 glowbugs and, right at the beginning, one Iguanodon.

Game (Evolved) won't launch.

Was downloading some mods, tried starting a world. It said that I could lose items and structures and whatnot if I continue without allowing the mods to fully download. Did it anyways (fresh install means I had nothing to lose). It was stuck on the screen with the game's logo on it. Alt+F4 wasn't allowing me to shut it down iirc so I forcefully brought it down with task manager. Now the game won't launch, saying it's downloading workshop content even though I unsubbed from the two mods it was downloading previously. The progress bar won't move. Says something about validating and then downloading workshop stuff.

I decided to manually try and validate the files through the properties section. This is where I'm at right now and it's currently just not doing anything.

I stg if I have to spend another 1.5 days downloading this shit...

Had to restart steam like 3 times or so, but managed to get the validation moving. I'll see what happens when it finishes I guess.

Not sure if ARK issue or Server/Nitrado Issue... but. We have an issue of structures not being rendered correctly.
When first joining the private server everything seem to be fine, but when leaving the base and walking further than render distance to then return to the base structures are not being rendered at all. Tames do, though, is they float in air. This is only on our private server and all of us are experience the same thing. Playing Single player works perfectly fine. Anyone here experiencing something similar and have been able to solve this issue? This started after the latest ARK update. Worked fine before that point. Is it a mod conflict?

• Restarting Nitrado server
• Verifying integrity of Steam ARK-files

Im running my own server on my own PC and am running into the same issue as well. This began after the v74.45 - Minor version for Servers - 11/15/2025 patch. I am playing on the Astraeos Map. I have taken the above steps as well and was met with negative results.

Settings does not seem to matter though. Friend has low ingame settings. I tried that as well as any other setting from medium to higher. Nvidia version does not seem matter much either. I was running on an older drivers version whilst my mom, both her and our common friend was runing on the latest version. This is so puzzling..

I'm missing a display in our main menu (ideally directly in the mod menu) that shows how much storage space is left for mods. Didn't see your reply sorry, I did manage to fix the issue, some mod file in the "savegames" file was the one causing the structure to be invisible (god knows why), for our servers it was the "valid data" file from the Simple Trade mod, don't know that will help you in any way but I can still share how we managed to fix it ☺️
