How do I prevent babies from getting stuck in the ground in ASA it apparently happens constantly in ASA

It’s the structures generated with the npcs since they have bases that’s the only thing that comes to mind. Ik primal fears base doesn’t have structures

ooo i see what you mean, yeah i had that issue back on ase if its an unoffical or official just try searching the server name, you should be able to join that way. or try to join them when u have the game loaded up, if that dont work maybe try to verify your game files. 90% of the time i had to manually search the name of the server i was trying to go to tho

Expire servers are temporary servers across the network that will eventually be removed, and you can find them by searching for "Expire" in the session filter.

These servers will be online until 10 am PST / 1 pm EST on March 24th. We're preemptively using our allocation for future maps to host some additional sessions that players can travel onto to farm, tame, and experience the newest content Gameplay. The same transfer restrictions apply in that you are only able to download your character, but you can freely take anything off. This is to help reduce load off some of the other servers, or provide players an option for those who just want to jump onto a new map temporarily.

Please note that these servers will no longer exist after 10 am PST / 1 pm EST on March 24th, so if you intend to use them, remember to transfer your items/creatures/characters off before that date, as nothing will be saved beyond that time period.

Quick question if anyone can lend insight... On a private cluster and several players are experiencing the "refreshing ark inventory" bug and can't play because they just keep getting kicked.
Anyone know what causes this or how to resolve it? We've tried uninstalling reinstalling everything, killing characters, mind wipes, and even deleting player data but the issue is persisting.... It resolved for a few players after the last update but now more have it

from a very honest prospective, the AB boss is easiest on foot with catus broth that you can get from the hiddin loot drop in the green zone cave.

i don't remember how the megalosaurus functions on ase aberation. but that's technically the strongest dino, but they get debuffed during the day so if you were going to do the boss fight with those wait for the long night cycle day to do it. otherwise you'll want 1 high level rock drake with imprint bonus and a good saddle. otherwise the spino is your best choice

there is not even any logical mechanism for that to happen on a PC. on console there is indeed reserved space for savefiles, but not updates

the only way to "reserve" space in a normal OS is to just make a big, empty file, and that is clearly not happening

I have an i7-8700 and 7600 game is maxing out my gpu and I get really decent fps but it stutters randomly and then crashes out of the blue I play the windows 10 edition on my windows 11 pc is there any way i can fix this? honestly it's most likely an update doing it to you. I had terrible crashes when asa first released and ab really made them bad but when extinction came out i stopped crashing and my buddy i play with started crashing when he never had crashing issues from the start

and they wont, unless you dino wipe or clear stuff from the spawner they are in

killing a single dino to spawn more only ever works if there is only that one dino in the spawner. ie for gigas.. and really nothing else

if some is a 1% spawn in, say, jungle, and you kill it, a dodo spawns in it's space and the spawner is now full and stops spawning

if you are solo farming you can drop the anky at nodes and once its encumbered, hit it with a whip to make it walk to the next node then mount it and hit it

it will still move when you whip it if it is encumbered

The patching issue is related to all of the DLC being part of the base game

It makes the game massive like over 300gb then the patching system is absolutely shit so it needs to copy the entire game and the whole process is just garbage and takes forever if the file is big. They need to make a small portion of the game that is full of just the base code a standalone file that can be patched without duplicating the entire game and all DLC etc. That takes a very long time

Got the game resinstalled. Just a PSA. If you just delete the game and reinstall it whenever there is an update, it will be more than 2x faster. Its way faster to just install 219GB than it is to copy 219GB 2 or 3 times in their broken stupid patching system. It will make your SSD move the total game files around like 3 times to do a patch. WAY easier to just reinstall. Faster and less space needed and less load on your SSD doing max duplicating work for no reason

Hello there, we had the problem that the game always lost connection to the ARK servers shortly after joining. The game was running fine (except typical crashes) for over 30 hours and after a transfer from one map to another within a cluster server the game either crashed while joining or the game lost connection shortly after stating that the connection timed out or expired. We tried every single fix we found on the internet but nothing was helping. Probably cause the error isn’t on our end. The account data must be somehow corrupted cause when we switched to another account today the game was running fine again without any issues. Is there a way to contact the devs to make them aware that are such issues? I opened up a ticket a while ago but it wasn’t answered.

Transferring maps in my cluster is still prompting people to make a new toon (sometimes). Players then need to back and then rejoin, then click "download" at the character create screen. This is highly irritating for some players and others its making them think they've lost their toon in transfer.
Has ANYBODY found a fix?
Is wild card aware this is happening to at least a minority?
Only found 2 other people here with the same issue on theirs servers. Mods and INIs don't completely match, so its looking like an actual game bug, but at this point im unsure.
Communication with nitrado support is like talking to badly coded AI, they told me to refresh my crossark ID (didnt work) then told me it will be fixed with the new patch.

The latest NVidia driver absolutely TANKS ARK performance on my 3060 12gb. Went from 50-60fps almost all epic, to 2 FPS and game completely unplayable. If anyone else has this issue - that's likely why.

You want to be using the -usestore / -converttostore option on your cluster. If you don't, you're using the old save system and xfers/saves are unreliable otherwise.

Most crashes in ARK are due to Windows pulling the plug on the GPU when Unreal 5 takes to long to load a resource.

DXGI_DEVICE_REMOVED is what you'll see when that happens on Windows.

If you get faster storage (NVME Gen 4), and/or a GPU with a higher throughput memory bus, it should happen less or never.

I can make it happen on-demand if I fly a rock drake from the tallest building in Extinction, down to sunken forest. You're moving so fast that Windows thinks the GPU is locked up, but it's just trying it's hardest to load all the resources fast enough.

And yes, drivers can affect one generation of silicon and not another.

PhysX has run on CUDA cores since the 900 series cards. It's not a silicon thing.

The Sir Bots aren't functioning properly anymore. They won't empty the crop plots or refill them with fertilizer. They just think everything is completed and go to sleep. I've tried picking up crockpots, reprogramming them, moving them around, and reprogramming refrigerators, but they still just say everything looks fine. However, the crops are full of berries, and they won’t empty them anymore.

Hey, I was trying to invite someone to allaince for a minute to cover a vein, and did a tribe invite it seems by mistake. So it seems to have deleted the other persons tribe. What is the quickest fix for this so he can have normal access to his base and dinos.

I changed the tribe settings and then he left the tribe and it’s givin him some of the building parts to him and all his dinos. But it’s not fully worked yet.

Loaded my Astraeos save (SP PS5) to see if this latest huge patch fixed any of the crashing issues. It absolutely did not. Didn’t even play a full hour before the game crashed twice. Map progress is erased (again) as well. Why isn’t this being addressed for consoles? Why are we being told the issues are fixed when clearly they are not? Soooo I have a rather unique error I've not seen before I'm hoping people can help me with.

I transferred from 1 map to another. When I loaded into the new map I noticed I was a fresh spawn (Normal character but with my inventory missing).

Then I found that my character with my inventory was also on the map I transferred from (so yay haven't lost inventory)

But now I have 2 characters, neither of which I can upload to an ob or transfer maps. When I attempt to do so nothing happens, (if you press to join a map it makes the sound like its accepted the input and fades out the join button but then nothing happens)

So my question is has anyone else experienced this and has a fix? It's rare for me to encounter a bug i haven't had before and I'm stumped 😅

Key info missing, like type of server, or solo, the map you were on /going to… only non dedicated clustered servers will allow inventory on your character to transfer.

in addition.. you have to upload your character to be able to transfer to another map, then download it

Yes the vein has to be not started, no one can approach it. You lead the dread close to it and he will just walk up to it by itself. But if anyone starts the vein then its no good.

Quick question if anyone can lend insight... On a private cluster and several players are experiencing the "refreshing ark inventory" bug and can't play because they just keep getting kicked.
Anyone know what causes this or how to resolve it? We've tried uninstalling reinstalling everything, killing characters, mind wipes, and even deleting player data but the issue is persisting.... It resolved for a few players after the last update but now more have it

I redesigned it a 3x3 with every corner a stack of plots 4high...
The spots that are left open can be filled with fridges..

So... there is an option in Advanced setting called "disable cosmetics dynamic downloading"

I tried both parameters ON and OFF... but it still keeps flooding my mods list with the mods i encounter?...

I dont want custom mods or visual mods.. should that option be OFF or ON in order to have it actually blocking those downloads?

Its for 2 main reasons, with the game as a vanilla as possible, i crash less...
Also on ps5 there is still this awfull 16 GB mod storage limit and before you know it, the game is overloaded with mods unable to join servers.

Hey I tried submitting a bug report but it seems to not want bugs right now. 🤭 My game is dashboarding when I release a cryopoded creature. On single player, official PvE all maps I tested.

I also have been dashboarding around and Tek stuff or other people's Tek stuff on official. I feel like it's the blue light render but might be separate or multiple issues. But the dashboard on single player when throwing it a cryopoded creature is inconvenient and odd.

unfortunately the series S has a tiny amount of memory and crashes if something looks at it funny, so it can be hard to pin down a single cause. on official the cause is usually just "tried to play on official with 7GB of memory"

singleplayer is also rougher on it, since it uses more memory than online play before factoring in huge bases ect
