okay so Crystal Disk Info is just a windows application that monitors your drives and all their important features.
sometimes, due to misconfiguration, things like TRIMM are disabled, or the SSD uses only pci 2.0 instead of possible 4.0 for example, but these are all infos that Crystal Disk Info will display for you and that are kinda handy/needed to know to see if theres some other issues

and it also gives you the exact name of the disks, so its like all the important things at one place

Yes I lost a carcha to this, game dc'd me but didn't kick me from the server so my carcha just stood there taking damage. I had to close ark to fix it but it takes a coulpe minutes for server to actually kick so I couldn't log back in. depends how close you are to a nitrado server, if your mates all live near you then self hosting would probably better - only issue is if your internet constantly cuts out or goes down, but speed shouldnt be a huge issue

Welp uh... If you're suddenly having crashing issues on a specific map (and not others) on the PS5 it might be due to corrupted save data. Just tested on a different account of a map I crash on every few minutes and I'm not crashing at all on this new account.

Which means because I can't look into save data on the PS5 and pull out the specific corrupted save data I have to probably fully delete my save data and fully start over c': wow!

If you play on Xbox, and you're seeing no sessions found, look at the bottom of your screen where it says no sessions found. If it says only Xbox multiplayer sessions and it's checked, uncheck it and refresh it at the bottom. All the servers came back up for me.

If on xbox go to settings and then connection and advanced and clear the mac address and restart the xbox. Once restarted then do a hard restart by holding power supply down for 10sec. Once gave loads up make sure you unchecked xbox servers only.

I fixed my persistent issue with the update by just dumping and reinstalling ASA in full. Heavy handed fix....but it worked. Restarts had zero effect at resolving it.

@carmine lance The can't download mods bug / grey curseforge mod icons bug seems to be related to https/encryption; having Fiddler Classic decrypt and re-encrypt HTTPS traffic allows the ASA client to see and download mods normally. It's still a workaround, though, and not a permanent fix.

So, since 3 am GMT+1 I got the update 1.3gb, which was done manually, and I had the same error not find the update needed, this morning still around 12 am I got back to Xbox reinstalled the game and got to go till main menu of the game but since then only getting "lost connection or timed out" did everything you guys told us to do. All dinos raising gone, tek stuff and everything I had with me cos at 3 am I was on the water expanding dino's pen.

At the moment I am still having the same connection problems. Can someone help or say something more enlightening to try?

Hello, American here, that plays on XBOX X with EU friends on an EU server. I am UNABLE to log into our Astraeus server 5996 pve (39/100) players. I am able to log into the US server that I play on Island 5265. When I try to log into Astraeos, I get an error saying, "CONNECTION FAILED, lost/timedout connection to host. Would you like to wait to automatically join this session?"... But it never actually connects.

I just don’t understand anymore. Why is this game so terrible when it comes to actually playing it. I don’t have this issue with any other titles and I’ve played thousands of games. I have rebooted my Xbox several times. Uninstalled and reinstalled ark. This is excruciating. About a month of inconsistencies.

So, you've addressed the issues of "not being able to login" and "unknown error" when logging in.

Your steps as far as rebooting the xbox console are inaccurate. You can't hold down the Xbox button for 10 sec. It automatically goes back to the home screen and turns off the controller after 5 secs. We would just hold the Xbox button and choose 'Turn off console'.

Anyway, I'm still getting 'Join Failed Unknown Error'

I restarted my console. Still the same thing AND freezing at startup load. Once in, we're in for 5 mins, try to craft and get kicked.

Where's the fix?

I sign into the game completely, but none of the servers show up at all. I rebooted the console on Xbox x. Still no download available. I tried it several times. Also did a hard reset to the console as well. I play on NA servers because I live in the great northwest region in the USA

As per #status-updates message Here my little 2 cents on the update.
-I still can NOT join Astraeos, my main is on there, well it was, the real main went poof !

• I have gotten the update on Ark of 1.3 something megabit
• Did the Xbox off and Xbox on
• Black-screen right away or hanging in loading and than black-screened
• tried the trick again on single-player with the cloud and fog, that has only worked for me 2 - 5 times 😦 in the last weeks.
  = WHAT I have not done yet is de-install and re-install of the DLC, did that like 10 times over the past few weeks, but not yet after the update
• All other maps in the cluster have no issues, ofc Extinction is still randomly shutting down, but we are used to that happening on there :P

**So what is the advise if any? **** There is so much chatter 😄 . I can not blame Nitrado to much, cause they have been with me in ticket, for over 2 weeks now. They even set up a test server in my cluster to try out stuff.

**In light of all of this I am starting to wonder If WC is responsible for reimbursing lost play day's, or is Microsoft? **The DLC has been installed on the 14th of February, and have not been able to play the DLC since the 16th of February. This is 18 days payed, but not been able to use as per buyers contract so to speak!
