You do not get the trophies and probably dont get the tek gram from taming them. So yeah you need to kill them and can tame them by summoning them again so that they can assist you in the king titan boss fight, its optional to do that but reccomended. Bottom line they need to be killed to progress

Will there be a rollback happening so I get that stuff back? There are 2 reasons to keep the females low level, 1 to keep it cheaper when you are cloning more females for mutation breeding, and 2 so it is easier to achieve the 0 points stats when you get there, like a boss rex does not need an oxy stat so you'd want to remove it eventually. If you are going for usable babies, going with 2 high lvls has the better chance. If you are going for mutation breeding, the low lvl fems are recommended.

• every time you launch the game, type those three console commands
• make a file in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\ARK Survival Ascended\ShooterGame\Binaries (might be different depending where you have ark installed, just right click it in steam and press properties, local files, browse local files). next you have to make a file in Binaries and call it something like "nofsr" and put the following text in: r.FidelityFX.FSR3.Enabled 0 | r.FidelityFX.FI.Enabled 0 | r.FidelityFX.FSR3.QualityMode 0
  once you have done that, each time you enter the game you only need to type "exec nofsr" in the console
• afaik theres a mod that automates it, but i cant really speak to its efficacy since ive never used it - i think it requires you to have done the second option up there, and just runs it automatically so you dont have to type exec every time

mod order is not a thing in ark, not the way you are thinking. you cant really port-forward for a nondedicated server, it uses a p2p connection. if you are willing to do that, you should be running a dedicated server anyway.

errors like that are usually p2p bootstrapping failing due to restrictive network conditions or just plain bad internet

all players also need to preinstall the mods the server is using, or they will most likely freeze during loading

For unofficial, changing maps on a hosted server boots you from a tribe, you will have to rejoin. For clustered servers, they are connected and tribe stays intact..

The only issue you could have is to accidentally make a new character.. then you just reclaim them and your buildings. No biggie. So upload your items of choice and yes you can upload cryoed pets empty your character completely including all cosmets and chibis, chibis are map locked

I did beta dragon to unlock transmitters so i have access to my uploads at each base and one i carry with me on adventures

I have a conundrum my stegos got messed up and now have mutations I don’t want on both partrilineal and matrilineal and I lost both base 0 mutation stegos. Is there any way I can fix this? I've found that if I uninstall Astraeos that I can access and transfer to all regular (non-dlc) maps just fine. Then, when I want to go to Astraeos, I get by an obelisk terminal (or transmitter) and start the download. As soon as the download is finished I transfer to Astraeos. The problem is that if you logoff or DC then you have to do the whole process again..

It's rare but I've had nitrado randomly reset my server's name so I couldn't find it when I searched its correct name. Double check that didn't happen to you, if you use Nitrado

more like everyone hated it because ark's pvp scene expects long build-up and progress, and goes out of their way to avoid risk or actual pvp

it is completely antithetical to the existing pvp scene, and honestly, there has not been a remotely successful hardcore pvp game in about 25 years

people play mobas and shit for fast-paced pvp without the inherent punishing design issues of hardcore

Your opinion is yours although I disagree. There were plenty of us that enjoyed it. It added layers you the game where you get to plan and think things out rather than just rush forward. People weren't AS toxic, there was still plenty, but generally the community was more cooperative as you chose your battles very carefully.

Dying wasn't the end of the world, just your character. There were ways to progress faster as you adapted and learned. But I get it. PVE you get to water you garden and watch it grow at your own comfortable pace. It's not for me, if my grandmother played Ark she would find that style enjoyable.

Some of us though, like a little excitement. Something with more layers, more complexity. Somewhere where the 12 year olds aren't hanging out because they've not grown into patient beings yet capable of a more rigid and unfriendly play style. Most people can't handle simple PvP yet alone hardcore, they are a special breed.

There are plenty of threads on survive the ark with others just like me looking to get it started again.

Enjoy your PVE or single player whatever it is your into. There's something called fiber craft , look it up, if you ever want to try PvP without the struggle, it's basically creative mode for everyone on unofficial PvP. Again not my style but PvE guys like you seem to enjoy it.

I like official when I'm laid off for weeks, but when I'm working it's nearly impossible unless I join a mega and they're cool with me putting in super low hours.

Conquest is nicer because it's 25 tribe limit. 3-6 months wipe schedule, 5x rates. You keep your character each wipe though.

But I miss hardcore. It was less permanent, ultra hard, super fun, good rates. It was just different idk how to describe the feeling. I used a lot of pin codes to get my stuff back and power down turrets if I died and stuff. You had to build and play different, everything meant something.

I love ark so much I actually don't want the maps to come out faster lol. I want more time to enjoy the content and digest it before moving on, it all feels so rushed lol I don't want the party to stop too soon. I hope the player base stays for years to come and it keeps getting better. But I do miss the early days, that sense of wonder the game gave me, it was magical.

I must have competition, other than pillaring land. That's where the emotion comes in, the strategy comes into play, the adrenaline of battle and conquering.

There's much to enjoy with Ark with friends but it really lights up with enemies.

But it can be overwhelming,I know it's not for everyone. You have to be comfortable with losing your stuff and starting over, it's part of it, part of the learning. There are always ways to minimize the losses and hasten the rebuild, you gotta be flexible and adaptable and willing to push through. It's tough.

Okay, I have been using admin commands to give them to myself. Maybe that is the problem.

They are not in my inventory, but they show up when I left click with the paintbrush.

How do i fix my steam disk usage? everytime i have to update ark my disk usage begins at 650mb/s then it drops to less than 20 and it stays that way. Weirdly enough when i restart my pc its at a insanely high number like before but then it just starts slowing dropping and caps at a low number , how do i fix it?

maybe a cache issue with your ssd. This cache is a small, fast portion of the SSD that temporarily stores data. Once this cache is full, the speed drops

What’s your SSD type?
I have had issues with NVME SSDs for months, specifically and only linked to ark and it’s fucked up patching.
I only got it fixed (tried pretty much everything the past 2-3 months) by buying a new SSD that also has a huge cache (the Samsung 990 Evo Plus 2 TB, as 2TB has like 200 GB of cache) and ever since I have no more issues at all. Used to also have dropping write speed before among some other things.
Now it just patches the whole thing at 700-900 Mb/s without drops.

But even without that it sounds like a textbook case of out of fast-writing cache, given you already tested other things. Have you disabled windows write cache on that SSD already ? Thats the last thing I can think of, if you did the usual things already like all driver updates, BIOS update, made sure steam is installed kn the SSD so it doesn’t download elsewhere first etc etc
