I'm having an issue with downloading some mods; whenever I try to download them, the installation restarts a couple times before cancelling. Whenever I try to download them via joining a server, it just freezes when it gets to one of the mods I can't install. I had success in downloading these mods by editing my library file and manually adding the mod downloaded from curseforge and putting it in the proper path, however, when it comes to updating said mods, I need to constantly ask people with the mod for their library file to install it. Does anyone know a fix to the initial issue of the mods not installing?

When i press activate on a mod, if i go back or go into a singleplayer/nondedicated world, then go back, the mod is not activated. It does the same thing when changing priority or deactivated a mod. Anyone know how to fix this? im tired of the OP corrupted wyverns.

Extinction issues: Most of the over passes and elevated platforms on the east side and possibly the rest of the city mesh players, tames and wild dinos. If i run up the ramps my player glitches in and out of the floor. When you see wild dinos, sometimes you only see the tops of there backs walking on the city overpasses.

in the settings there is a difficulty level, or hard mode and that will change it. Hard mode puts it on 150, but some cave creatures (mostly in snow caves) will surpass that level, but they are untameable anyways.

I just leave my dodos in the depot and I’ve got around 77 beta eggs, another way to easily get eggs is to keep on catching and releasing the female with the Dinoball, it guarantee drops the egg everytime it’s released

I don't know if you are new to using mods in games, but it is pretty common for any game to affect mods that alter gameplay (such as cryopods) when it's updated, hence the general recommendation to always update your mods after an update. That is the risk with using mods for any game. Most mods should have updates available, so update them, and avoid using mods that have not been updated in weeks or months.

I am not sure, I've tried to search but in most cases it involves altered game user settings. If you have mods, it might be worth to deactivate them in the server to see if it solves anything in case it's a mod conflict. Other fixes people have attempted is to die and respawn, maybe verify game files.

Has anyone else randomly had ark run like crap the next day? 3 days ago ark was running fine for me today I cant even run it. I'm getting 6fps. Get a ptero, with the ptero tame an argy, then tame an anky for metal, they get more even from regular rocks. There is also a point near the easy beach spawn that you can find metal on top of a mountain.

I've got 64gb of ram. I have done the command to kill all wild dinos in the area, on the extinction map I have no tames as I just started out and then the next day this happened. It still didn't help Hoping the next time the game gets updated it will fix it or it goes away on its own

It is massive in terms of advancing, as the argy is a great flying mounts in my opinion, but they are not super hard to tame. Search on youtube for how to trap argys and it will give you a few ideas to make it easy to do.

Anyone have issues with certain people not being able to play extinction on their Nitrado server? My brother rents a server and I am able to play. However everytime I start the server I have to log out of the game after I load in the first time. Most of my base doesn't render and I can't interact with didly.. I log in a 2nd time and it's fixed. My brother however can not play at all. On PC via xbox app he has been able to play once and since then he experiences what I do first log in, but he gets kicked in a matter of seconds. He tried playing on actaul console and it worked once. He tried logging in a 2nd time and it started happenig again... I see a lot of "black screen" issues which might seem to be something related maybe. But we have not been able to find a solution for his side.

I have a problem with taming a Carchadontosaurus and i realy need someones help on this. i was fidgeting with imprint settings cuz it was always either way too long or way too short and this was something that actually worked and allowed me to get 100% imprint in a decent amount of time. its not bad if you are there attending them, and you can always cryo them in the 15 seconds. and its not even really 15 seconds, cuz the first imprint theyre at about 21% and get 25% imprinting. they gain a percent every 30 seconds or so

if you know of any better imprint settings, let me know cuz this is literally the only thing that has ever worked for me

what exact hardware/model are you on, and have you verified or reinstalled the game already? the savefile may be just corrupted or unloadable, game install could be damaged, or something outside the game could be interfering

Xbox Series S, I have already reinstalled the game, but it's only this map.

series S has seriously problems due to it's tiny memory capacity, it is really easy to overbuild a save or end up in areas of the map where, combined with dinos/bases/ect, it can no longer load the savefile. aberration blue zone seems to be particularly dangerous. if you have a PC, you may be able to salvage the save by loading it in the xbox play anywhere windows version of the game

otheriwse, it is best to only play online on smaller servers on series S, and avoid mods/cosmetics

The trust meter on the carchar depends on the weight of the creature you feed it. If you use a diplo, paracer, rex, or yuty it will fill in one go. Because those are too heavy to actually pick up, you can feed it baby variants instead or pick up the corpse with your mount (many creatures can pick up corpses by walking over them and pressing G)

Is anyone else having difficulty with Zepplins moving and what structures might be causing it to fail to move? I am underweight at this time. Hey all, so my buddy had a server and lost all the data sadly. However, he'll be making a new one but he's asleep rn and I'm preparing for the move. Thankfully, I was smart since we were going to be moving maps anyways and uploaded all of my stuff. I lost my character sadly, but even with a new char I'm still able to access all of my stuff.

While using admin commands to swap the imprints for some dinos, I noticed that the melee % and HP were nerfed SIGNIFICANTLY on my SP world. Is there any way for me to fix that on my SP world before I upload them back?

i would just assume you would need to increase the value of what the points do in single player slightly to match what it used to be? im not 100% well versed in SP

Now that I think about it, I can probably "sacrifice" one of my tames cause I can see the upload itself in the terminal and see their %, and then when I download it it changes.

So I just "sacrificed" my Thyla to test this. So before I downloaded it it had the following stats:
HP: 21380.3
Stam: 1720
Oxy: 780
Food: 7311
Weight: 656
Melee: 1535.1%
Movement: 130%

And after downloading it became:
HP: 10372.4
Stam: Same
Oxy: Same
Food: Same
Weight: Same
Melee: 954.2
Movement: Same

Oddly enough, just before I logged off I noted it tried to land on the ground. But still appeared to be hovering on the ground level. I just logged back in. It seems to be stationary now. I'm not sure, but maybe relogging helped identify proper mesh. Testing

On Xbox official PVE, how do I get the default survivor items? I want the sparkler so I can color my torch with white light. Coloring the slot 5 does not actually change it to white light. But the sparkler use to work. Did devs ruin this too?

Okay, I get it now. So long as the area you want to land is where the exposed unsiderside it, you can land it.

also it has 1800 carry weight inless you force imprint onto it.. so if you weigh more then it can carry it aint going anywhere

just leave its render and come back and the stats will show proper

@cloud steeple Good luck with the carchars. I've been taming them with diplos and it's been turning out really well if you want any more advice. Since a single diplo will fill the trust meter in one go like the rexes do I can use them there, and then I set up some eggs and air conditioners nearby for it to eat because they have tons of HP

Both. Drag weight affects the trust meter (dragging the body to let you ride), and max HP affects taming progress (killing things while riding). So I drag it a diplo corpse, then hop on, wait for the eggs to hatch, and eat them all
