Only things I was doing before the crashes was trying to build a greenhouse. Open the inventory and it would crash. There was a server update that came through and a mod update but reinstalled the mod already and still crashing. Only on Ab it seems to be fine on the Center

or you can take the sage advice here and try to get nitrado to reinstall their graphics drivers. their support may be inept enough to actually ponder that briefly before realizing servers dont have graphics drivers

We can create new characters and load into Aberrations just fine. We just can't transfer as that will crash on loading.

running the server yourself, or via nitrado? sometimes the latter's clustering takes some time to sort things out and work correctly, after being set up

Trying to update with the latest patch, and it continuously gets stuck trying to start installation of the patch. It's been sitting at 1% - Installing for almost an hour now and hasn't moved. I closed Steam and reopened it and it said I was missing files and then proceeded to download said files, and is now once again sitting at 1% - Installing and not progressing. its a steam thing, id bet your pc has more than one drive, its using the other drive to patch the files but not registering on steam, if u check disk activity it shud be doing its thing just steam dont make number go up

i would hope thats the case, but there isn't disk activity showing. The little indicator light on the case for disk activity isn't lighting up at all, and there is no activity showing in Steam.

you need to check actual disk activity , easy way task manager, perfomance tab, then u shud see one the drives is high activity /useage

steam needs a bit more than the game space again to do the patch so currently summit like 160gb spare on the drive asa is installed . for some reason lately steam has been using peoples other drive even though they have enough space , or atleast thats what mine did.
i spent some time with google today an finnaly figured out how to fix it , before id just wait till it installed from my slow hdd

yeah the drive that doesn't even have the game installed on it is showing a continuous 98% usage with like 500GB+ of open space on it, and the drive that the game is actually installed on has about 171GB open but shows zero activity

Most likely. I do have a 4TB m.2 that I haven't gotten around to installing yet. If it still defaults to the HD next time while the m.2 has 2+ TB free. Then we know it's that.

yeah, it may be trying to go "off screen" try the resolution or turn fullscreen off.

Can anyone help me? I can't seem to join any modded servers- as it is preparing to join the server and tries updating/downloading mods it gets stuck on 'pending'. It's not an internet issue since my GF right next to me on the same internet can download and join modded servers perfectly fine, and I've cleared my downloaded mods so there is in fact nothing 'pending', if I download mods from the mod tab myself it works (really really slowly), I've reverified my files and found nothing wrong, and sometimes rarely it does start downloading but not on servers I want to go to. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason behind when it does and doesn't work since I can start downloading on server X and then exit, reeneter, and then try again and it'll be stuck on pending. There also doesn't seem to be a specific mod I'm unable to download or that get's stuck on pending. This happened before the latest update, but persists afterwards.

if anyone else has this issue, I got it to let me uninstall after showing "busy" everytime I tried through steam. You have to use task manager to end steam processes and then go to add or remove programs (search uninstall in windows search) and uninstall. It will reopen steam and then uninstall it correctly.

that sounds like the classic shitty dino mod play of adding something that replaces a spawn, then mostly spawns a different dino instead, based on some odds. it bypasses the limiter checks on existing dinos and results in.. that. also often seen with wyverns and fish

Yea i understand this, but you really shouldnt look into the registery editor. If you delete the wrong thing your pc could be damaged. But just looking doesnt do harm. So of you want to delete those keys you should only delete the keys under the battle eye folder. To go to the registery > searchbar (regedit editor) here you search for battle eye

Any one else having this issue or a solution to the following? I have removed ALL mods, restarted the server. When attempting to perform a cluster transfer, the screen is continually flashing a black box with the words "Refreshing Inventory". This issue was present before removing the mods but only flashed twice then stopped and character disconnected. It appears there are issues with refreshing inventory. Checking the Nitrado Player Control page it is showing my character still connected. It appears this server is NOT working correctly.

It won't "eat" the plant pot, it just consumes the plant you hit with a shovel. Iirc the pot is green when it has a bush in it and orange when not. Check if the pots are turning orange in it's inventory, it requires a lot to feed it

yes. but for some unknown reason it has been only happening to various people. Deleting their profile files off the server does not resolve it.

nothing anyone else can help with , when you create a cluster, it makes a shared cluster folder between the servers, nitrado doesnt let you see this or give you access to it . keep complaining to there support , eventually you will get someone that isnt just a puppet following a script an knows what there doing

oh i just had one thought, make sure no one has anything in upload , generate a new cluster id on one server, use that id on all the other servers like normal . this will force it to make a new shared cluster folder , likely on a differnt disk drive to the one thats currently being used that is causing issues

Thank you for the suggestion. I have reset the cluster ID on all 3 servers just to be on the safe side and see if the issue returns. I have seen others reporting and show recorded video of the "Refreshing Inventory " screen flashing and also mention the new Curseforge Dev kit has a Inventory Library update but I'm not sure if that is to address this issue.

I am playing on PS5 on The Island and all of the wild dino levels are in increments of 4. I tried changing the difficulty, I turned singleplayer setting on and off and I enabled and disabled maximum difficulty multiple times. Is there anything I can do to fix it? I had a crash yesterday and before that everything was perfecly fine, the dino levels were in increments of 5 as they should be.

To add it here this is not a guaranteed fix but it may be a solution (potentially) after hours of messing with the “Battleye not responding: Failed connection “ error it seems disabling any firewall you have enabled may help it. My windows firewall was stopping battleye from running at all. So if you’re having problems, try this before uninstalling the game or deleting files.

Try deleting mods, Sometimes if your speeds are running low or you don’t have the right specs it can cause your loading time to take to long, if this doesn’t work I recommend turning your firewall off and reinstalling battleye (most of the time, this is a mod issue.) people usually get more than what their device/internet may be able to handle in one load.

(When I say mods, I mean mods that would affect that server, if need be go into ark directly and delete the mods folder and try to start the server up. If that works than you know it was your mods and you need to limit them to preserve that speed.)

I have a reoccuring Problem, since like 8 weeks, i can start a new safe file, play single player or dedicated server, and after 2 days of playing the game is not able to load back into the safe file. when it gets to the loading screen it closes the game.
i dont get any bug message pop up, and there is no crash log in the crash log folder.
there are anti corruption back up datas in the safe folder, i tried to set them to the main data entries and load with them, same thing happens.
i tried to reinstall the game several times.
i had the game on my intern ssd drive, on my extern ssd drive and my intern hdd drive, it happened on all 3 of them.
i had the problem with and without mods.
i checked all my pc hardware (ram, hard drives) everything seems to be fine.

can anyone please try to help me fix this problem?
dont know what else i could do. i searched the internet without any posts or threads found. there is noone on the ark discord that had any problem close to this yet. and there is aboslutely no option to get a reply from wildcard on tickets i submit. ( i already submitted 6 in the past 8 weeks, 0 reaction)

@uncut compass ill probably just go for another mod. Seems like he doesnt kep up with his. In a game the has fequent bugs, bug fixes and updates. Mods cant just be created then forgotten about. @uncut compass thats how i felt as well after launch tried eveything. All i could do is put it down an hope the fixed the game. The only thing i can 5hink of doesnt necessarily apply to your case as i only lost one save to corruption the rest was just setting me back by several hrs of progress. What i did for this was before logging off for the night i dino wiped then saveworld command. But even this wasnt helping much as it was still really early launch buggy. Thats when my file corrupted and i gave up. Not saying give up though lol

i checked my hardware, someone gave that input, was sceptical, since i think it would affect other things as well if it hardware related, but still i went to check everything.

It uses only the bare minimum to run Windows. So if there is any background software that causes crashes it should be disabled in safe mode

"infinitestats" = similiar to god mode
"god" = god modeand
"destroywilddinos" = dino wipe

you can do this by opening commandprompt(type cmd in search bar) then typing "ping [ip addresss]". for example "ping 192.168.1.1" if its says timed out the server is offline. if it gives a reply you at least know its the game and not the server

That part is pretty common. You're generally supposed to put everything on a dino so you can collect it after. The big thing with the Ab boss is it automatically starts the ascension process when you defeat him, as there used to be no loot. Because of the auto-ascension you can't claim the prize. As far as I know, this hasn't been patched yet.

Absolutely worse. Been playing on Abb and Dinos will refuse to follow, get lost, stop following. If you're trying to lead a dino into a structure, it gets lost and circles and just refuses to enter by it's self. TRying to trap something is almost impossible.

Official small tribes cross play player here, I had my character off my main server earlier doing some farming on a center. And when I go to transfer back to main it says my main server does not allow character downloads. Now I sign into my main server to see I have a duped character that is there now (but he has no implant) so I override this character with a level 1. And now when I try to leave server with this level 1 so I can return with my main who is logged off on the center server still it gives me the message when I try to transfer that I cannot do character upload on my main server

Has anyone here ever looked into the problem of linked storage boxes? I find it strange that it seems to work for so many people (I keep seeing it on YT, Twitch). I've now tried 4 servers (2x Nitrado (Center, Aberration), 2x private (Center, Aberration). All have the same config. But I was able to rule out the config: I just started with almost no config (only the bare minimum of connection data) and it didn't work there either. Single player worked by the way (btw: don't the wind turbines work everywhere in single player? Server = Aberration no problem; single player = Aberration doesn't work). I'd really like to finally use these feature 😦

I'm preggo with a reaper and my timer was stuck at 0 for 10 minutes. I relogged, and my timer jumped back up to 15 minutes. 15 minutes later, timer is stuck at 0 again and has been for 5 minutes. Is there any fix or known cause of this?

So I use to play Ark on PlayStation 4 and for while it was doing great. Like a year later I can’t play multiplayer anymore. Whenever I do the second player becomes my avatar which is weird. My brothers always play on creative too and they tried doing that and the game crashes. I don’t know if it’s because the game has had too many updates but if anyone has had these problems and maybe found a solution to fix them please me know! I just download Ark Ascended on my Xbox and honestly it’s way better at the moment but I have to pay for a multiplayer which sucks. So I’d like to fix whatever is going on with Ark on my PlayStation 4 if there is a solution because multiplayer is fun haha.

Hey guys, what am i bottlenecking from in ark, my gpu is running at 80%, cpu is at 20-30% max, using 20gb of ram(out of 32) currently at 2666mhz and yet it doesn't go above 50 frames most of the time, fps locked at 60, vsync turned off

I modded frame generation for 30 series when i last played and i was having a stable 60 fps but there were crashes, however the crashes were happening for my brother's 4060 ti also, reason we stopped playing

30 series cant do frame gen far as i know, nvidea made some sort fuck up on there drivers an added but it dint work , i rem seeing someone else saying about it not so long ago

I'm currently using frame generation on my 3060 TI for all games supporting frame generation don't have problems with it

Only other game having issues is Icarus, but its not frame generation related, its the direct X 12 problem

Another thing is i am currently on single player and when it worked correctly i was running a server, could be related gonna try entering a random server of the island maps

I accidentaly bought 2x 2133mhz so i'm sticking with it, i tried taking it out and keeping the 2x 3600mhz ones but didn't see any performance differences

you have to take it out, then actually overclock your RAM to 3600. performance will increase massively in anything CPU limited

first, what clockspeed and power draw is the GPU reaching in ark, to confirm how much of a bottleneck there is?

i overclocked them to 2666mhz, tried going further but won't leave bios after reseting

just the 3600 wont go higher? you have either broken RAM or a horrible motherboard, if so. or very unlikely, a broken CPU

The 2 rams that are at 3600mhz are stable at 4200mhz even after overclocking

they are definitely not stable at 4200 on a zen3 IMC, that is almost impossible. if you are decoupling FCLK, that also decimates performance. never decouple FCLK

you want 3600 (3800 if you can push it with no memory corruption and 1:1 FCLK) with as low latency as it will get, for Zen3

Since there are 2 rams that are 2133mhz and 2 at 3600mhz, overclocking the weaker ones to 2666mhz put all 4 to 2666mhz, but the timings are soooo different xD

remove the slower kit. mixed timings are horrible, you should never mix RAM for any reason. it is DDR4, replacing them with a matching kit should be extremely cheap

ryzen CPUs match their internal connection and cache speeds to your RAM speed, so shit RAM cripples the whole CPU on top of slowing down data access dramatically

but still, first thing to do is check how big a bottleneck is involved, by looking at GPU clocks/power draw

online play in ark will also be less demanding of CPU speed than singleplayer/nondedicated hosting

the gpu is running at 83%, 72 degrees, using 175W,1950mhz clock speed which is its limit, 1.075V

load level is a meaningless number by itself. also complete bullshit if you are using task manager to check. actual clockspeed?
