doing some googling, that is not an unknown error with unreal engine, but it is certainly rare, and i cant find any conclusive explanation aside from "the game crashed lol". seems like it may be due to bugs in the renderer, or hardware instability/failure elsewhere getting kicked down the road

Don't know if they've incrementally fixed some of the fog stuff, but my fog is behaving correctly today. Normally distance trees look way too green and the shadowing is wrong, but now that the fog covers them like it's supposed to, it looks nice.

your first mistake was probably using video tutorials. do you have any prior experience with setting up server software, or general-purpose tech literacy?

i do not recommend using any sort of helper or control panel. tends to be buggy/unintuitive, and prevents you learning what is actually going on

I have some questions regarding Pyromane. Yesterday I was out exploring a bit and stumbled upon a carcharodontosaurus that I eventually wanted to tame but was no use since it fell into the lava. I was waiting around it a bit while flying on top of a unleveled 200+ Tapejara with a regular primitive saddle. Me myself was equipped with a fairly strong ascended flak armor on every slot except maybe one or two while "wearing" a trusty otter around my neck. I flew close to the Carch at one point messing with it, biting it with my Tapejara. Then all of a sudden I died, not my tapejara nor my otter.. My corpse fell into the lava and obviously munched on by the carch so no "fishing" with grapling hook was possible (learned you could do that yesterday).

I checked what killed me and apparently a sneaky Pyromane did out of nowhere. He was not on the only ledge you could stand on next to the lava pit (Lat: 18.2, Long: 46) so I assume it was on the cliff on top of where I was standing (or in the lava below me). I explored what exactly killed me with a pyromane while mounted on an argy on other places and seems like pyromane one shot me while mounted with its flame charge thingy. How much damage does that thing? The first time I got insta killed by one (on top of the lava pit) I was wearing almost full gear ascended flak armor, and mind you some had a lot of armor stacked on them. Why is it possible one could instantly kill me in one go with such good gear? It took me by surprise.

The server I am playing on is an unofficial one with only me and my friend and his son. I am kind of in charge of the settings and since it is supposed to be fairly bob-friendly settings of"Player resistance at 0.8".

• Are Pyromanes supposed to hurt THIS much so that they can insta kill you while mounted and wearing ascended flak armor?
• If so how do I protect myself from its flame charge attack to keep me from being insta killed again?

Idk what to do, as Club ARK required an entire deep clean inside my PC's case even a new drive!
I've verified files, and have done an entire reinstall (waste of 2 hours), even after installing KSRS manually from CurseForge and putting it in the files it still didn't work

Look up SeaShell Gaming’s tutorials on YouTube, she has one for ASE and one for ASA, and both are very comprehensive.

Basics — wild tamed animals have certain random stats. When you breed them, each stat has a chance to end up on the egg/baby. You want to have eggs/babies that combine the best stats. Generally you’ll end up around lvl 230-250 with some solid level 145+ kibble tames combined. It is random, so will require a lot of breeding.

Then mutations… they’re a random event on every egg/baby. And they’re inherited after the fact just like natural stats are. These are the basics.

Mutation stacking is where one parent—almost always the male—is bred several times—usually with a harem of several females to speed things up—and the baby that inherits the dad’s mutation mutates that same stat, so instead of +2 HP, it then pops out at +4 HP.

Keeping lines clean is useful here… but I’ve said a lot, does it make sense so far?

that is the CPU (processor). the GPU (graphics processor) and RAM (ideally exact specs, but at least memory capacity) are important as well. and ASA needs to be installed on a solid-state drive to function, not a hard drive

the CPU is fairly self-explanatory, it is the "computer". it processes. the GPU is a second processor designed specifically for rendering, and determines how detailed and high-quality a game you can render, and how fast. RAM (memory) speed improves how fast the CPU can work, and capacity how much data can be loaded at once

ASA wants at least 16GB RAM capacity, 32GB recommended. there is not really a good increment between those sizes

If you have the perfect pair then all previous dinos are not needed.

Get rid. Also i advise you get yourself a secondary perfect pair and pod them up in case something happens.

Once youve started getting your Mutations i always keep 1 mutation behind stored just in case the rest i get rid.

hi. i have a problem. my pc spec is ryzen 5700x3d and rx7700xt. but why my fps so low at low/medium and high resolution.? like i get not more than 60 fps. fps always below 60 fps. any tips on how to get more fps? i downloaded the game 2 days ago.

So, I made space to redownload ascended and I remain unimpressed with the irritating base UI. There's mod support so I'm hoping there's a fix somewhere but basically moving items is frustrating, the inventory and radial wheel in general is frustrating and my camera keeps "catching" on things I can interact with. Does anyone know of a good mod that fixes this or better yet a mod that gives ark evolved UI?

if you cant boot into the OS, you have no way of knowing what the root cause is. if it is windows, something made it break that badly. extreme corruption is usually what it takes to make windows unbootable, unless something like a nonfunctional driver was installed

if you have any important data, you dont need to erase the drive/OS. you can install a second or temporary OS

a ton of common hardware issues will make it difficult or impossible to boot an OS, though

a digital copy is linked to your account and can be used on any device

there is no benefit to a CD in terms of saving storage space, anymore

Check every filter tab in Explorer notes in inventory. Lot of the time when I help my tribemates they are missing the Gaurdian ones. Even though they have done all bosses. Sometimes it's bugs. If that is case for you, kill the boss you still need and don't harvest the body it should activate the note you needed and gain a timer xp buff. Need to beat both ascension island and scorched and the 3 notes in island tek cave

You can also use giveallexplorernotes command in single player to "unlock" the notes in official. Then you can see which ones you need to go around and collect. They will be faded instead of originally blocked out
