Lost power today and I was hit with EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION when I tried to load my single player world. Anyone know a fix? I've tried to verify my game files and had no luck and could join other single player maps just fine. I dont want to lose my world and I've tried everything I could.

but that is a corrupt savefile, unfortunately. difficult to read like that, but pretty unmistakable still. you will have to delete the current world save file, but can try to restore an older one from the automatic backup by renaming the savefiles. do you need instructions on how to do that?

if by "flickering" you mean the game shrinks into the top left corner of the monitor, that is due to DLSS being broken in recent nvidia drivers, a downgrade is required

I have restarted the game nothing is on the armor I just made it both sets cloth and hide and also it should be from the base game sorta bobs tall tales it's a weird mix between mod and base also I don't have any custom cosmetics so that won't work

Open your engrams list and switch over to the bobs tall tale tab and see if it gives you an option to buy it on the bottom right on the engrams screen.

There is a similar issue on steam which is caused by the game not realizing you own the DLC, I’m not sure if it is present on PS, not sure what else could be causing that type of issue except for the mentioned bug or modded armor.

it should be on all platforms but it'd effect all things bobs not just armor skins.
its caused by the platform (steam,playstation, xbox) not telling the game that you own it. happens for a varity of reasons usually maintenance or the platform is having issues.

the DLC (bobs and pyromane) don't have downloads. they have to communicate each time you launch the game. just how they decided to do it.
thats not the reason anyway since you can use the other bobs stuff and can craft the skins.

We've disabled options like "Hide" or "PS Online Multiplayer Only" when searching. Additionally in our settings it is clearly displayed “server crosshair: true”
This seems to be a recurring problem because many forums talk about it but we haven't been able to find a solution..

5.4 engine upgrade will improve rendering threading a little, will help slow CPUs. in general the graphics are pretty optimized, they are just demanding by design. the fix for old systems is turning down settings

any time people complain that RDR2 or something runs better.. well, they should probably turn the graphics down until it looks like RDR2, and go play scorched earth for an equal lack of foliage

that is something totally different, not a corrupt savefile at least. rendering related bug of some sort i see reported occasionally, it seems very random

likely has nothing to do with the prior power loss or savefile, unless the power loss has caused further corruption or hardware issues

i would suggest you verify the game install via steam, then see if you can load any other maps successfully

Yeah I was thinking it was because I lost power, because everything was working great. I did try to verify the game files though and restart.

vsync will be a mess unless you can hold a consistent framerate

it does not cap directly, it forces the GPU to only display one frame per monitor cycle. if you cant meet 60, you get 30, cant meet 30, 15. ect

ASA is uncapped on console normally because 15 fps dips look really obviously terrible

for a lot of games, they run at 30 with vsync because it gives much better graphics quality, vs what would be needed to exceed and cap at 60

What do you mean? When I logged in I had 6 cryo pods in my inventory and skins and that was it. I tossed out the graptors in the pods, plucked the feathers and went to put the feathers into their inventories and only the cryo pods were visible. I remembered a friend saying they needed to drop their bag and pick it back up to see everything again, but when I picked my bag up (which had the feathers and pods), I could see nothing, not even the pods anymore.

These are the instructions I've found,

Ahhh, if you don't have creatures strong enough, there's a cheat command you can use to kill the cerato, needs to be done by the host though, or the you need the admin password

ceratos drop spines when killed and have to craft something with them and have them attack your tame. its a process.

I try to join a server with mods and while I'm downloading them, it'll go pretty fast then just stop for a min or two then go again and keep stopping until it gets to like 10 megabytes left and then just won't move, I'm on PS5 is this a known issue or nah

I put one Tek vacuum under my main base. I ran a spiral staircase up through the middle of it and connected it to my main base.

Do you have a dino good enough to kill the spino's? If you do kill them , deload and reload the area and see, might take a couple of times. Once there are beavers stop killing and wait, they will eventually spawn dams

you can use TakeAllDinos and TakeAllStructures when looking at a dino or structure respectively

when nobody is in a tribe the game changes it into a "ghost tribe" which you can't join anymore.

If you're going through the mod menu, it's simply just buggy easiest way to get it to work is to try to install it from joining a thing instead of from the mod menu that usually works however if it's a lot of things usually you'll install like half of them and then you have to restart the game and then install the rest of them

If anybody runs the bosses and their implant only ever shows one, try suicide through the implant. Restart, bed travel and changing maps didn't work. Dying to drowing and a raptor to the face didn't work. But using the implant suicide did fix the display of the other missing boss fights.

Anyone can run it. Just get the gameusersettings.ini, game.ini and savedarks folder and you can use those to make a new server.

I had this issue with a private server. The hitbox of shoulder pets was triggering anti-mesh. I switched to Single Player and have anti-mesh turned off. Not seen an issue since with shoulder pets just dying.

And I was seeing things like a pet getting meshed by a fridge while standing in front of it. Other really weird stuff in logs.

And this is like this week, so I would not say it is addressed in any way.

I don't have enough for a full tek suit yet. Just 2 pieces. Which pieces let me fly at supersonic speeds? Is it just the chest piece as that is the jetpack or is it the legs that give you the super speed?

chest lets you fly, arms do the power punch. chest+arms lets you do the super fly, which costs a TON of element when not on Gen 2.

For reference:

• tek legs let you power walk so you can move overweighted
• tek boots cancel fall damage
• helmet gives you thermal vision and underwater breathing

So you would need to fight the dragon to get the two peices to tek fly and in the process you'll have all the element you need. S you just need to beat up some alpha tuso to get the serious ammount of black pearls to make those parts and do some polymer crafting if you don't have some high-end flack to grind.

I don't recall if tek suit flight is considered dino flight. It's blocked in the tek cave for sure.

As long as you have allow flyers in caves on, shouldn't be a problem, I think.

Eurypterids and trilobites take too long. The alpha tuso drop is like 500 weight in black pearls. Super nice.

kk people on the server confirmed you can indeed use tek suits in caves. Now where is the best place to farm BPs on The Center? I can never find Alphas but saw euryptides all over the place last 2x weekend and I got a decent amount that way before I used them to craft more vacuumes

One giga bite with a Deinosuchus and you can shred them. Tusos just cannot sit still and take huge tick damage from deinos-type bites.

I haven't gotten to the Center in ASA, yet. But it looks a lot like the spawns all changed when they redid the ocean with the bubbles and stuff.

In ASE the deepsea shelf in the east where you get the artifact used to be my go-to for Tusos.

But if you have a solid Eurpyterid farm going, that can probably get you a few tek suit parts going.
