@true heron 5098 has had no rhynio spawns since event started. Also alot of tickets sent in from many server players for couple tribes obstructing caves, paths, stealing eggs, kiting dinos and stealing resources. On pve its causing alot of problems. I thought that's why we had pvp servers?
They are using a render glitch with bouncing eggs to steal eggs using a rhynio and a tribemate riding passenger seat. 2 sets of walls seems to block then from taking anything but it's annoying none the less.

Single Player PC! -preventhibernation added to my launch parameter doesn't seem to be doing anything. Can I add it to my settings folder somewhere for better results? Dino's don't load in until I'm in the area for a while and they don't seem to stick around once I leave. Trying to get things to spawn everywhere on my single player!
Update: Tried adding bPreventHibernation=True to my [serversettings] it didn't do anything either.

I was transporting my dinos on a raft then a whale came and destroyed it in two hits (it was a lvl 1 alpha but i cant remember the name of it) i escaped with most of my dinos but i lost one of them ( Nokia Smort Fone, Tek Parasuar ) then i got my dinos to my new base and my sarco had "alpha whale thingy bubber" BUT there is no kill feed of my sarco killing it, anyone know what couldve happend?

@desert falcon It was a Alpha Leedsichthys there are also regular ones, watch for those when rafting. As for the feed it doesn’t always catch what you kill.

Have you tried turning off the singleplayer settings? For the bPreventHibernation=True to work you need to disable singleplayer settings as they don't use the server settings file i think.
There should be a setting called "use singleplayer settings", it will make the game harder if you disable it but it will then use the file.

It's the size of the platform i think, if you're not sure and you are on single player you can make a backup of the save and check and revert or look up on youtube a fight with any boss, just get all 20 dinos as close as you can and they all should fit

Yep, just remember that there tails can be fully outside and as long as the main point of the dino is inside then the dino will be inside. The text useally apears above that point so check if the text is inside of the bounds.

Guys i noticed something that might be a clue to what's happening to cause the inventory crash, seems to happen mostly when opening inventories of things like Oviraptor, dino depot, storages that are connected to Automated ark console and its sorting stuff all the time, what if its caused when the oviraptor is about to pick stuff up and you open its inventory? Or dino depot is about to pick up an egg or something? Just a random thing i noticed xD Doesn't happen with fluid interactions off at all though

Without fluid interactions enabled it freezes for a second sometimes and i ended up noticing right after the freeze the oviraptor was grabbing the eggs but it did not crash because fluid interaction is disabled. Also just remembered that i was playing with fluid interactions on wasn't crashing crazy often but lately i've had to disable it wasn't able to play at all, and guess wut i got many more oviraptors in the base...coincidence? I wonder

Never had an oviraptor and crash randomly all the time in first person or in any inventory. Only fix is that vertexscaling 1 command in game. So has to do something with that.

So if you delete your game and delete the folder for ark, it’s going to reset all your settings on ark. Then you will manually have to change every setting again, but this could fix the problem not 100% though on this.

move the playerlocaldata.arkprofile onto your desktop or summit so its backed up.
delete the file inside the shootergame/saved/localprofiles

be aware this resets settings , maps an pins if i rem correctly .
then it shud make a new one when you join back

if im wrong then u have a backup saved an can just put that back in

I’ve been having massive issues with my non-dedicated Xbox server. We’ve been playing for about 30 hours and the game started kicking us out upon entering specific terrain. No caves or high res quality spots - just random places like the western slopes of the volcano, several places in the snowy parts, around the green obelisk…seems to vary and, even worse, seems to be getting more too.
Removing mods didn’t help, internet and NAT is fine, no issues on officials or single player at all. Just with non-dedicated, which sucks pretty bad because that’s how we love to play.

Anyone any idea how to help a sad Bob and his Bobette with their prob? :/

It’s iffy, some creatures are rendered when it enabled while others aren’t.

Best way to confirm that it’s working is to use a Dino tracking mod and search for different types of creatures.

Hey so on my Xbox specifically mods don't work. I used my account on a friend's Xbox and was able to install any mod. I go back to mine and nothing works. aside from additions (I can confirm its safe cause garuga) I have no way of knowing which mods caused the crash but im positive its one of them (I dont use half of these and ASA modding is extremely unstable right now, and thats for pros like garuga and kraken) also Id consider adding kbd and no untamables to your ASA, there too good not to have, regardless I would recommend against just slamming in mods like its ASE, its not, ASA is a baby, mods need time to stabilize to the new game. (and also the game needs time to update and stabilize)

It could be bad case fan setup, it could be the cooler on the GPU isn't mounted properly (which would be Zotac's fault) but under no circumstances should a 4070 Ti Super be hitting 95c under any amount of gaming stress unless there's something wrong

Nah a GPU can only run so fast, and the cooling system is designed to allow it to run as fast as it possibly can without getting too hot. It shouldn't be hitting 95c even under 100% load for extended periods

In order for Steam and Epic to play together you have to put a command into the server launch parameters, as far as I'm aware you can't do that for a non-dedicated so it can't be done

ive gotten that too, only fix i have at this time is i have optimized my settings with my graphics card and play with that. everytime i change a video setting (even just one thing) in the game i get that error. at one point today i changed from fullscreen to windowed fullscreen and got that error, so, try fullscreen if you havent already. I think it's a graphics issue, but, i could be wrong.

thats just my understanding of it so far with my own experience.

other than that, i am having an issue with the game freezing when i go into the inventory of my smithy. is that a known issue or something I can fix?

i mean honestly on initial steam release i was not having this issue, then an update was made and nots its same as you every 5-10mins. ive done all from reinstalling windows 11 just today, reinstalling graphics drivers, rolling them back, reinstalling the game, bought a new m.2 drive and installed there...nope, ran sfc to make sure i had no corrupt files on my pc, verified ark filed 20 times, downloaded fortect and ran that a few times to scan and repair anything. i mean you name it ive tried it

Hello, I recently did a playtrough on Ragnarok on 1x harvesting rates, this time my friends started a new server and are supposedly using 1.5x harvesting rates now, yet to all of us it feels like the harvesting rates are higher than 1.5x, is there any explanation for this?
Our theory is that the harvesting we get per hit is equal to 1.5x but that for some reason all recource nodes (berries, metal rocks etc.) just have a lot more hits in them than on ragnarok resulting in even higher gains.
Or perhaps the 1.5x setting is not possible and it rounds up to 2x?
Is this it or are we just tripping and something else is going on?

I removed the earlier installation of NVIDIA drivers and reinstalled 537.58 with the clean installation (the one that used to be relatively stable with ASA), I've uninstalled and reinstalled ASA and disabled all the unnecessary audio devices, and nothing has had any effect so far. I have successfully played the game for over 500 hours since the launch, but now I'm not even able to launch it 😔 any ideas? Lets say i have a dino with 4 melee mutations from one ancestory and i have a brand new line where i got 1melee mutations and then bred them would the baby have 5 melee mutation then?

Mutations are always random you have a higher chance of getting a melee mutation tho

if you had muts on the father side and muts on the mother side eventually youd get the 2 combined into 1 with all of the muts but the base stats would be jumbled and hard to track from where they started from I would think

I've been getting an ugly chat box that pops up for global chat now in game. Puts an ugly square in my bottom left corner of screen. Have been playing for weeks and it's never been there before. The chat used to just pop up on my screen without that box. Anyone else having this issue and know a way to get rid of it?

Also it never even showed the scroll symbol in the chat when I scrolled up/down via PageUp/PageDown keys. Now it is. But all this stuff used to be 100% transparent behind the chat. Now it's just a big faded box. Looks ugly and distracting is why I'm trying to hide it without hiding chat completely lol

My friend just solved this by uninstalling pelayori's cryo storage mod, closing the game and reinstalling it. He also went in singleplayer, placed a storage box and opened it, just in case it could help as well. But uninstalling pelayori's mod should be enough. Its last update may have caused issues for people who updated it without uninstalling it first.

my grpahic settings are medium with light bloom and light shafts off.
But there are several creatures which are more low poly models than anything else... dodos, bears, wolves, sheeps... many tails which are doupled in a low and high poly version... that sucks ...

textures on epic end this, but I just have around 10 fps than 😄 (normally around 30)

my pc isnt the newest.. so I know I could get much better results with a better pc 😉

But someone perhaps have an idea what I can change for best graaphics reulsts without buying a new pc 😉

When attempting to join my hosted Nitrado server for the game Ark survival evolved on Xbox Cloud Gaming, I consistently encounter an error message stating "Server notification: Could not retrieve address." This issue persists despite various troubleshooting attempts. Interestingly, my friends who are using Game Pass on Windows PC can successfully join the server, indicating that the problem may be specific to my setup, dedicated and non dedicated servers are working fine.

Steps to Reproduce:
Launch the Ark survival evolved game on Xbox Cloud Gaming.
Attempt to join the hosted Nitrado server.
Encounter the error message "Server notification: Could not retrieve address."
Retry joining after performing the following steps:
a. Close the game and allow sufficient time for all processes to load properly.

Shallow cove in the northwest, just north of where the snow biome starts. Lots of pearls, shallow enough you don't need scuba gear. Do need points in fortitude, fria curry, and/or good fur armor, to deal with the cold water. Do have to watch for sharks on the deeper end where it joins the open ocean.
