Babies only eat a certain amount to a maximum food, which that level of max food will increase as it gets older. Like super small babies will only be able to eat very little til they hit that “max” amount. Babies won’t be able to eat to fill hunger until near or at full maturation

Generally removing stack mods (any mods, really, unless they're completely stackable) during gameplay is a bad idea.

You could also use the vanilla stack ini if you're having issues with mods

I try to really only play with fully stackable mods, maybe the only exception being krakens better dinos as ive found literally everything else to be super unstable, but it seems that specifically stack mods might be causing my issue

No, so it's likely that it's a mod problem, but the odd thing is that I've made sure to only use mods recently updated, like updated within a few days ago, and I've never ever had issues with these mods before this game build was introduced. Like, most of my mods now would cause this crash

For me the consistency is when I get to a certain point in building my base. Perhaps there's an item I place down that breaks the save. Because I got lucky sometimes with reverting to an older save in same gameplay. Opening a new map works all the time too

I just started trying to play Ark again after a long sabbatical. I played it for perhaps a year in the past with no issues other than framerate in spite of the addition of a couple dozen mods. I started off resuming the one and only Island game instance I had ever started, but I decided I should start a new game and so deleted that saved data and created a new character.

When I started trying to play the new game today, however, it's been freezing repeatedly just minutes into the game with no pattern I can identify. It just freezes, doesn't crash to Desktop or produce any errors, no matter how patient I am. I have to terminate or restart the game externally.

The \Saved\Logs directory is empty; no files are being created there after each hang. Is there another location where log data is being stored that isn't known to me? If not, any other suggestions how to most efficiently troubleshoot this?

forest is durable but it takes increased damage from normal dinos (so gigas) and if you arent in a mek then you'll get grabbed and/or rooted

Either you hit them or dismounted within their aggro range. Riding is the only way to stop them from aggroing. If you dismount and stand on its back they’ll aggro you, and in turn any of your tames.

I have 2 Friends, one on Epic games and the other on Steam.

Personnaly, I have the game on the 2 Platforms.

But, anyway, we cant play together, one of them Always cant connect to the server.

When I create it with ark server manager, my Friend on Epic Can join me with Hamachi, but not the man on Steam.

If it does not it points to a corrupt world save. I would suggest making a backup of your current save and trying to restore a previous backup and see if the issue persists

Extinction is bugged as hell. The ice and forest titans couldnt be tamed normally because the tek railgun, shotgun etc. didnt do any damage to the nodes (I had floating damage numbers and they showed nothing), the ice titans movement is bugged out (looks like its sliding while sitting) and the king titan randomly stops taking and damage even though no element vein is present. And even IF one is present, there are no dinos spawning that I have to fend off, so if the node is successfully defended is impossible to see and seems random.
Also sometimes the king titan falls through the floor and cannot be reached by any means, making the fight an immediate failure. Killing it with console commands bugs the fight out completely and spawns the big glowy sparkle thing but without any loot inside. When I first killed gamma king, it didnt spawn loot either, even though I managed to kill it legitimately.
No wonder no one plays extinction. Its no fun at all.

got a...hefty problem for a while now with my ark game;
the game crashes after i try to continue a run, always the same good ol' bug report
what confuses me is that i'm able to start from scratch normally, but it's when i take a break and start another time that it crashes
i have mods enabled but already checked compatibility and already did everything the internet suggests, like verifying game data, driver updates all down to reinstalling the game, still the same problem

any ideas :(? i'm kinda lost at this point

This happens automatically so long as you only breed a mutated male with unmutated females or vice versa

so when i get a mut i can keep it if its a male or famale with the mute. as long as i breed it back to a perfect m/f

or is it just easier tokeep males only

and breed back with perfect f

Yeah. Keep a clean male. That way if you get a desired mutation on a female you can breed the mutated female with the clean male until you get a male with it.
