I'm having a problem where I'm not getting awarded the mission when doing all the glitches in gen1. This happened for both my bog and my arctic biome glitches. Any pointers? I see 115 HLNA explorer notes unlocked but according the missions I only have 113. I compared my notes with the wiki and I have all the bog and arctic ones but it shows 29/30 for both so I'm just at a loss.

People push buttons by mistake all the time. That is likely your issue. While you have a tame order group selected things won't listen to your whistles. Especially if , as you stated, you never set any. As you would be in a group with no dinos.

I digress. Clearing your tame order whistle group should fix your issue

If it follows other orders. Than your issue may be related to something else

Have an issue with cave dinos not spawning at all. I had no issues before turning off hibernation but seems to be a recurring thing now. Even wiping the dinos doesnt help.

No. Stasis doesn't effect spawns. Only pauses specific game functions while not in the area.

Exiting and entering the game isn't really going to do much. Your going to have to stay in the area or use slowmo to speed it up. In addition caves are instances. Hence the load wall when entering.

Theres a terminal near 62,62ish. To the side is a raised section/rock spire. Theres crystal nodes on top of that. Theres usually a couple of nodes near terminals but ya best bet is to go into the space area during the crystal cycle with a stryder and maybe a tame+weapon to defend yaself as the voidwyms can be a pain in the ass

You could probably run a vanilla server (no mods) for about 3-5 people with one... Maybe two maps

Once you add mods that's gonna lag down and cause issues. And the load order has to be correct.

Ark itself client side takes 8-16gb of ram. The server is gonna take ... Mmm idk while idle maybe like 8gb up to... I mean unlimited ram usage depending on server load

Ticktaskmanager means something in the map is trying to count our seconds, or rather ticks, for some automated process. For whatever reason that automated process is erroring. This is usually because of stasis or hibernation not being enabled and whatever action not being rendered

You could try to recover a previous save

Though without fixing the error, whatever it is, may just likely be back to this point

Like our server we would restart and people would join day 0 and all fall through the map, die , lose their bag and we would spend the next 2 hrs ghosting under the map trying to get their stuff back

Hello anyone know why I cant join my own dedicated ark server? Im using ASM to host the server it was working fine until yesterday. All my friends can join without any issue but for me when i join it lets me play for a round 2-3 minutes and then i get connection timed out.

I dont think it has nothing to do with my internet since i have 300mbps+ of speed and im the only one getting dc and since im hosting the server if it was my internet it wouldve been kicking all my other friends but they can play fine

Sounds like possibly an issue with your router or firewall rules. Make sure your router has a loopback rule

That's dependant on your router and network setup. But you should have exceptions for ark, asm and anything else your using as exceptions in the firewall and router, and adding a loopback rule to the router itself.

Hey so Im playing a singleplayer world (ran as non-dedicated) my friend and I wanted to trasnfer from The Island to Ragnarok, so we put our stuff in the terminal. I only had 50 ark data slots so I gave the rest to my friend who ended up having around 90, because his max was just --. Whenever he opens the obelisk terminal, he immediately disconnects. Anyone know how I can fix this?

try to open it on singleplayer to take things out, if that doesn't work afaik the only way to fix it would be to delete the file.
as a side-note, only let the host upload dinos or eggs. non-hosts can get issues with dinos resetting to level 1

hey is there any way by chance (whether by config entry, mod, or common game setting im well versed in all of it) to disable the dino spawn disabling caused by structures, for clarification, when a structure (specifically a foundation but there may be others) is placed down, it disables all dino spawns within an 80m radius, understandbly this completely destroys the need for building higher tiers of structures in PVE/SP (and limits them in PVP ) as why upgrade to metal, stone, or even wood when you never have to worry about dinos wrecking them anyways, I play for difficulty so dinos spawning in my base if i build a large one isnt really a concern (and i dont build large bases anyways), if you have a way to disable it let me know (and yes I could find out myself but i would atleast like to know it exists before combing through 300 paragraphs of game settings, configs, and checking in the workshop to see if theres that ONE mod that remaps existsing stuff and doesnt add sloppy new crap, those mods aint easy to find.)

So at difficulty 1 you can have dinos spawn between level 1-30. I've never tried to take it down to a decimal but only way I could think to achieve all level 1s would be to have a difficulty of like 0.0001 or something. And that may not even work

Sounds like your loading in while the server is still processing the mods. Give a server 15-30m after restarting. Ensure it doesn't say day 0 as well

On a single player game? Don't think that is possible. Could be a load loop error or a buffer error of the mods making it load slow. Without a crash report it would be difficult to say. It's more common issue with servers.

You can. Most people stack all mutations on a single line though.

tamed levels don't go into breeding. most people keep lines seperate until the end as the 55% chance can be missed when doing duel lines.

If you've mutated your females it's basically too late. But you can with your male line. If you breed a mutated female and a mutated male the mutations combine and then if you breed it back again, it combines exponential and takes up your mutations.

yeah, keep mutations on males only. breed mutated dinos with only unmutated dinos (mutated male=unmutated female, unmutated male=mutated female) to be able to get as many mutations as you want.

once you are done mutating it doesn't matter tho, just combine the lines or colors you want.

I created a world (PVE) and forgot to enable the "allow flyer carry" when it was made. The server has progressed far and i am having major trouble with the fact that none of my Argies can pick up an creatures (tamed or not). I have tried to enable the setting in the advanced rules, which doesn't save after being enabled and wont work, I've gone into the server config in files and changed it and it wont work. I have even tried running commands in game which also, wont work. If anybody is out there who can help me, Please @.me so i can fix this. Thankyou.

Pvp has to be enabled i believe to pick up wild dinos at least.

HOW TO ENABLE PvP

Stop server
Go to Configuration Files and edit the Game.ini file with Configuration Editor option
Set bDisableFriendlyFire to False and bAutoPvETimer to False and Save the file
Go to Configuration Files and edit the GameUserSettings.ini file with Configuration Editor option
Set serverPVE to False and Save the file
Start server

Do you have the header with the file path as your first line

You can add lines to ini if they arent there.

Usually the cause for the ini not saving is because of the header then it gets over written when they load back in..if it is saving but not taking effect that may be something else

They weren't picked up for 7 days, so they spoiled.

Alphas can break stone, so either kill something near it (alphas are bugged around corpses and can't actually eat the corpse, so they sit there and attack it until it despawns or something else eats it) and stay farther back and shoot it, make a metal trap, stand on a cliff and shoot it, etc
