Well, my issue is that even with higher rendering range settings than in game sliders permit, all constructed things seems to be sent by server first when within 20 meters of the house.... I wanna increase this distance alot since the server only have two players anyway.

I need some help, my mp server is having some weird issues with the game. Whenever me or my friends kill argy's, we don't get any talons. I want to go through the mods that I have loaded, but the host staff tell me that the server makes an automatic backup every time it is shut down and I only have access to the last 3 backups. Everything works fine on a sp map with all of the mods loaded in the exact same order. I honestly don't know how to troubleshoot the issue if I can't roll the server back to before I remove any mods.

i only use SS because i can pickup structures whenever i want to for instance, if i place a trap with stone gates and reinforced doors on S+ i would have to destroy the trap or just keep it there. though for SS i can just pickup the structures and use it the next time i need it.

Trikes can be fun. Good for berry farming and can defend themselves better than parasuars. Tho if ya want to out run the predator iguanodon probably be the better option. Jus depends if taming herbivore for berry farming or its specific abilities

In saying all that, this sounds like a potential corruption issue, where the data did not sync correctly and hence data went poof. If you had all the notes on single player it reduces the chances of this happening.

I have a,private server, it's set up with the basic default settings (mostly : poop intervals are decressed so i poop less) i put 100 sparkpowder in my preservinf bins less then 24 hours ago, and now it's completely gone, but it only uses 1 spark powder per half hour? alpha center is cheeseable with shotgun and kangaroo, you can cheese the dragon in valg boss with a wildtame deinonychus (lol), rockwell is cheeseable with shotgun + cactus broth

gamma gen2 boss for exomek you don't need to cheese as afaik you can do all gamma missions pretty reasonably and the boss itself you can do with very low mutation count (reaper + tek rifle works iirc)

forest/desert titans are a joke and make up for a few of the tekgrams you miss out by getting tekgrams through this method

at that point all you're really missing are ascensions for levels and skiff (+ moeder)

gamma gen1 has it's own cheese strategies (i've heard buried reaper to take aggro and then spinos is a viable strategy)

one thing I always wonder, I barely know anything about transferring dinos or characters, but I thought you could only transfer them from one server to another server in the same cluter right? or can you transfer dinos from one official server to another seperate official or something too?
Are there any other scenarios you can use transfers? like is it possible to transfer from (un)official to singleplayer?

Official can only be transferred to Officials in the same cluster. PvE to PvE, Legacy PvE to Legacy PvE. PvP to PvP, Smalls to Smalls, etc.

Unofficials can enable a cluster ID to allow transferring only within their cluster, or to disallow others from uplodaing to their server if it is not clustered. If they do not enable the cluster ID, but have uploads and downloads enabled, you can transfer your singleplayer stuff to the unofficial.

Does higher quality ghille (like ascendant) have less ‘invisibility’ because while taming shadowmanes I used a primitive set of ghile and it was fine like I got it to 80% tamed until it got out of the trap and chaos happened. Then bc it broke all my ghille I made new but realised I had an ascendant hat, so I put that on and the rest primitive, then when I went back to tame another it immediately aggroed when I got too near it, like what happens if you use normal armour happened.

That happened to me on a standard dedicated server, so I don't think it's tied to sp/creative/etc. I found that (1) severely limiting the # of times I left render cut down on those shenanigans, and (2) they only escaped in the way you described at night, and I think this was at least partially because of their wandering thing.
And this advice about ghillie is wrong, afaik:

Make a stone trap 2x2 foundation, 16 walls two high, trap it, and you won’t need ghillie.
I found that ghillie still seemed to reduce the chance of detection.

Potentially. There is a setting where you can lower the amount of cuddles required. I usually raise it to 3-5 and on Wyverns, it would take around roughly 5-6 cuddles for them to fully imprint. And yes, lower your "BabyCuddleIntervalTimer" to like 0.001 or something. That should lower it a lot

quick question, I just installed ark on steam and when I boot up ark and go to search for unofficial servers there's like 2 or 3 that load but no more. Is ark just really that dead or is something wrong with my game? not sure what the problem is or how to fix it but it might help to know my pc is on windows 11, just bought ark and installed all the DLCs etc

Ark isn’t dead at all. There are thousands of servers but you must have something in your server search settings causing that to happen

That is probably due to your internet, sometimes it takes awhile cuz that’s just Ark, but your internet speed could have something to do with that

Your ISP is independent to you. Your ISP is not a network connected to everyone downloading Ark. If your WiFi has a bunch of people on it, that decreases your bandwidth and increases your download times

Everything I’m seeing is saying it’s supported. Ark is at the top of the list everytime. If you’re only playing single player you’ll be fine either way. CoC only applies to official servers and servers that run battle eye. You can do what ever you want in your solo game.
