All dinos in ASA as of now should be included, and yep, i added a 'utilities' category for some categories like herbovires, carnivores, etc. I will make sure to include FFA and FARM too (as well as any others people suggest). About texts, it can be done as well. For now, i only included icons for all creatures

A friend stacked large crop plots in a 1x1 greenhouse, but whenever I try the walls are obstructed if I place the crops first, or the crops are obstructed when I place the walls first. How did he do it?

Build limit on ASA is less than it was on ASE, same as tame count. Plus they've added so many cool extra (yet smaller) building options you hit limit quicker. I've had to simplify my builds in places to accommodate bits due to these changes. It's infuriating. (I play official)

Use the wikily page for ASE and it has a section for templates. there are a few there in the utilities section that have lowered dedis and cryo fridges.

DO NOT RELY on wood and low tier structures to put your important things on.

I have been lowering dedis and troughs into the floor well before Templates. Also on official. all the extra stuff boosts up structure limit.

Anyone familiar with the big water reservoirs that came with bobs tall tales? I have one on top of my base and I showed the range and it covers my whole base but yet when I put a water tap inside my base it doesn't work. But if I put the water tap close to the water reservoir it works. Is this a bug or just how it is?

The reservoirs themselves only store water, you need a tank in order to wirelessly connect it further

Use triangles to close the gap, then build some stuff in the interior to blend it in, like make it look like a part of a roof-rafters network

Cap the joint in the roof with a raised tower-portion; as to say: hide it all with a structure on top; it will break the flatness of the roofline, even if the structure itself is rather simple; if you make a flat-topped bit over it, could call it a flyer landing pad; good spot to take your argentavis for a ride

Honestly? If you want no overlap sticking through the other side, then you need to change the design of that balcony. I copied yours on the left. There isnt a building piece that will fit nicely in that gap. Try doing what I did on the right. The back triangle roofs are the second option in their menu. I hope this helps!

its not; theres a building mod that allows you to alter where structures are considered placed - if the mod is removed, good chances most of the structure would collapse/auto-destroy itself due to lack of foundation connections

and build the other side (place 24 small stairs & small walls)
then you can use the triangle on the side to cover up the lower part of the tek door and make it look like the gate actually has some "foundation", holding it!

Carpets, signs, paintings, and other highly customizable structures have hard build limits within a moderately wide area

I’m not that familiar with templates as I’ve never used one myself, but I have used things like JVH, the mod with the cobblestone path pieces (which count towards the shag rug limit, funnily enough), and have thus have met this message before

It sucks when it happens, and thus needs workaround

My best suggestion is place the template(s) in single player and study them to find the issues, then come back to your main world/server after the proper modifications are made, or study them enough to roughly raw-build them out more to your liking

My latest build on Valguero. Pretty happy with how the main build turned out. Using a combination of the steampunk and frontier custom cosmetics to give this build a unique look. Complete with castle craft bedroom (decorative, plus usable items) and lighting. Smol structures for the crafting/storage zone. Plus a detailed stable to house the return of Valguero's Deinonychus plus more small creatures with room to breed and add extra storage

Wild Card needs to resolve these pillars, and maybe it's simple to just place a flagpole that creates a construction area, making it impossible for players to fill the map with pillars and to climb with two personal options that last 24 hours and disappear forever...

I built this starter base in survival on The Island. Built only out of thatch just skinned with the frontier custom cosmetic. Fully equipped with a garden for those herbivore tames and a place to keep those tames safe.

It’s only cosmetic skins . The building is castle craft-settler skin which was $4.99. Klinger is a gorgeous free skin that has similar pieces just lighter wood. Inside has free accessories skins- Astraeos, castle craft free interior and the free steam punk interior

Cosmetic skins don’t require mods, they show in your skins inventory in game. I prefer playing without mods myself.

With the template tool you can use the circle of pillars and go nuts with it...
Basicalli is half circle, extended forward by 1 wall and then with a quarter celing in both sides I placed quarter of the circle of pillars on both sides. After that is just about to extend it and test how far you need to go to make them touch corners

I built this castle in the redwoods on Valguero. Roofs, pillars and railings are all meant to be frontier casting a nice ombre between stone and wood textures. Build is not complete as my game crashed out and thanks to ps5 saves not working, I lost all my progress on this build 😢 Castle had loads of space including a basement. You can use an anky to clear nodes right under the surface. It sounds like you're in single player, but for anyone else's future reference: characters that haven't been logged into in two weeks go invisible, but they can still be interacted with. I had invisible bodies blocking my community center build on aberration, and invisible rocks blocking my old build in scorched.

no1 ever said ark is optimized!😒 but both "work fine" , asa has more interesting pieces, but ase has overlap & octagons & up to 64+sided circles & co 🤷‍♂️
and dropping into like 40 fps? seems like a badly setup systems, or tooo greedy setings tbh! try lower settings if u go that low! for me it runs fine with a 4060ti-16gb! on high1440p
