It is not a requirement. Some server setups do not even allow for alliances.

If I can't move my character on login and the command console doesn't work and the dedicated server refuses to allow connections from the internet despite the port forwarding being all set ... I just have to delete my character I guess?

I tried renaming the character profile and starting a new one, but since they're not in the Tribe, they can't damage the house at all.

I logged out in bed, so presumably when logging in I'm now stuck in the bed. When I use the command console to try to enablecheats and fly or respawn myself etc. it doesn't work.

Both single player and multi-player are impacted with no real change between them. Occasionally I can see my inventory for a few moments if I login a second time. I cannot interact with any items though and when that happens I cannot see any other inventories. If I try to move them off of me or interact with the items they disappear. I will try to data and see if that helps, but since it is universal it seems to be a bigger issue than single player profile.

This issue persists in official PvE even to this day. The only solution I have found is to off your character, which wouldn't be a problem except for two reasons: A) my specimen implant is gone, and B) I am kicked almost immediately after joining because of this. Therefore, if you are kicked like I am, you will need a tribe member to assist in killing your character. If you are playing solo, you will need to submit a ticket and have an Admin come kill your character. Hope it helps.

You have to put your gear in your tames and same with otter. Becausenits singleplayer you technically do not have an ark to transfer to. Thsts why you lost it all. Was the same when official came out and island was only map. I know it is stupid but that is how it works. Any ascension put your gear in a tame . They will be waiting at entrance

It already remembers if you have show engrams or tooltips etc. it's not a stretch to have it at least remember your preferred sorting. Currently it doesn't at all.
Also it's very possible, it's simply something you store on the clientside just like how Windows remembers your sorting and filtering and thumbail size prefs for every folder. And your browser remembers what position and zoom% you were on.

Another small thing: Which action is at the top or right etc. of the radial changes, which makes you have to pause to read it every time instead of letting muscle memory take over. And the most common action is often not the default when just pressing E etc.

What has changed since Saturday? I was able to play really well on Saturday. After the big update it even ran better than before. Yesterday I wanted to play but got a fatal error every few minutes. And sometimes when I reloaded the map, the game crashed when loading the base. In the Windows event log there was a message saying there was not enough memory and that the swap file was too small. I've never had that before. I had 7 or 8 crashes in total and then gave up. Do anyone else have problems like that?

Are you on single player? Because time only passes when you are playing. Certainly on servers they grow whether you are there or not. Unless your server has had rollbacks whilst you weren't online, that would stall them.
