I dont disconect and I think stuff is still moving. I tend to log off in a room with nothing that moves so I can't tell. Plus the screen is usually completely black when it does. Noices still play though

hey, that my first time trying to raise lightning wyvern. I got two eggs from friend, now hatched the eggs, and also got some milk. How does it work? Can I put 5 milk into wyvern and it gets bigger, like we do with meath on other babies? Or should I just put 1 milk in and wait until its gone, to put another one into its inventory?

@silent matrix I calculate how much food it drops in 15 minutes. Then calculate what time you need to cryo or feed it again when food drops to say 200 or 500 or 1000. Gives you time of how much sleep you get before feeding time or cryo time.😂

Got a bug that makes it so I can't play the game, effectively. Long story short, whenever I ride a dinosaur I can't attack. Yes, my hands are free. Also, I can attack when on foot just fine. I've tried logging out and restarting (which was supposedly how you "fixed" a similar bug in ASE) but it isn't working. This bug triggers regardless of what dinosaur I ride, and started about a week ago.

The X has more RAM and is about 3x faster than the S. definitely plays Ark better.

its not random but theres no way to know the level. its dependant on what stats it gets from both parents. if it gets all the best stats itll be higher level than both parents, it it gets all the worst stats itll be lower than both. or it could sit somewhere in the middle it just depends.

Good day everyone! Tell me, who has a list of graphical settings in the command console? I have xSex and I decided to see what would happen if I increased the resolution, shadows, etc. A friend has a computer and of course it's prettier there. I know that I won't take out much, but by increasing the resolution to 4k and making shadows by 5 (who knows what the default ones are), I got a more pleasant picture without visible frame loss. I've read a lot of nonsense about increasing fps by removing everything in the world, but it's not interesting, because I need to achieve optimal images and fps.

The teams are interested in where you can turn on the dust while walking, maybe a little more detail, the number of small objects (stones, dry branches, etc.), etc. In general, the whole list of commands that you can experiment with.

Just got to work on a new breed up Deinosuchus and here’s the stats (using a mod that helps keep track of it easier)

Hp: 48-14 levels from mutations for a total of 62 hp
Stam: 41 points
Weight: 41
Food: 49
Melee: 47 with additional 20 points which is 67 melee

I’m really proud with what I’m doing with these Deinosuchus, I’ll probably stop with 30 mutations into hp, melee, stam and weight tho, don’t wanna over do it

The SCS Dino collector mod is insanely good and it’s the one I use personally. It may seem overwhelming but the best way to do breeding is get yourself some base stat Dino’s, Dino’s with the highest stats as possible that are all the same level (If you have a mutation with one of them it will kinda mess things up)

Example being a set of Rexes, 1 male and let’s say 4 females all Lvl 260 (it’s preferable to have them be even lvl and not be an odd number but it’s your own pick)

Once you do that just search for a mutation in the desired stats and make sure it’s a male, once you get the male, replace that male with the mutation male and keep aiming for that stat you want with that line

Example: I get 1 melee mutation on a male Rex, I replace the base male with the Melee 1 and I aim for a melee mutation 2 and it goes from there

Once you’re satisfied with the mutations with the desired stats, get yourself opposite genders of those mutation stacks then breed them together and make sure you get a male and female set of them so you can get infinite amounts of those mutation stacked Dino’s

The Scs mod allows the process to be much simpler since once the eggs hatch you can check the babies stats and you can just search up the babies lvl and if there’s a baby with 2 lvls higher then the others then check if it’s a mutation you want, if not you can just delete them all and refresh the cycle until you get something you want

Not exactly sure if I have fixed it. But I no longer get device hung errors, I just randomly freeze, like my whole pc freezes yet I can still hear things like my discord call or my music. Which is odd because I’m not exactly sure what specifically might have done this. My best guess is the power limit I set on my card. I set a power limit of -10% since my gpu always spiked during the crash, since there was a power limit it could no longer be hung. Thing is I have since taken off that power limit and have not gotten a device hung error, which is confusing. If I were you, I’d try messing around with more undervolting settings for your gpu and fan curves and make sure your ram is running at the correct speeds. What fixed it for me is going into UEFI and increasing SOC voltage offset so it totals 1.2V. For example, if SOC voltage is auto set for 1.1V set +0.1V offset so total is 1.2V. Or, if SOC voltage is auto set for 1.0V then add +0.2V so total is 1.2V.

i doubt it is the CPU or RAM. the only common way those can crash a GPU is by producing memory corruption, and that causes very unpredictable and random crashes

So I would say extinction or gen 2 those both have easy end game resources plus gen 2 you can get server buffs by playing mini games. Also ragnarok is very big pretty and easy loot drops with high quality loot. I lived on gen 2 but frequently visited others for exclusive dinos and loot quality

@royal aspen I know some people like to follow the story taking along their favorite dinos as they ascend to each map beating the bosses before they go to the next. Then when they went through all of them established a home one the one they enjoyed the most.

to get them back you should be able to change the setting to a really high level (like 10k) and roll back the server a bit

I have an issue in my single player gaem in ASA, I tried joining and I got a warning saying that some mods were updating, and if I joined now that I could lose things, so I waited some time before joining, and when I finally joined again, I had lost half the things inside my base. it is framegen. it inserts artificial frames in between the real ones. pretty subjective tradeoff and not a cure for low real framerates

it lowers your real framerate, and the artificial frames are basically pure guesswork based on past frame data, so they start to look haunted at low framerates or fast movement

on a Nvidia GPU, you can already use DLSS for upscaling, which is at least as good

on your main, i would stick with HP, weight and Fortitude. i would try to either have an account dedicated to crafting or have mind wipes on hand

At the moment I have 500hp - 200 stam - 500 weight ( Each point gives 50 weight instead of 10 ) - 143.5% movment speed and 60 fort.

swamp cave is always good. also put veggie cakes in them. i used stegos and shotguns for our alpha dragon run

The fires percentage based damage won’t be lowered but the bites and actual flame thrower blast itself will be weakened and you just gotta get lucky with the drops but it is better luck to get it from deep sea loot crates

Fairly consistently between ASE and ASA, typical release day we usually get an afternoon release window (something like 2-3pm PST) followed by a few "we are working out the kinks, please bear with us". After being pushed back a few times we usually end up with a later in the evening release ( something like 7-8pm PST)

The only time when a map got delayed on release last I recall was extinction and it was the console release of that map back in ASE

I want to say extinction was delayed by most the day, then we ended up with a lot of server crashes and restarts until a couple months later when an issue with trash collection got sorted, you could consistently time official crashes every 2 hours for the first month or two of extinction

The new optimization that should make the game more accessible drops the same time as aberration apparently but ima assume that’s gonna get delayed to rags release

It feels too ambitious to have that along side a map like aberration for everything to go right

Scorched Earth never got delayed, then again we never got a release window or even notification that it was being worked on, it was just a "surprise, you can now buy scorched earth", followed by a lot of negative steam reviews of "how are you selling paid DLC while still in early access"

Yeah scorched was a shadow drop when the game was still early access which I’d say isn’t too offensive. If there was micros then that would be an issue

It's not too offensive looking back at it through the lens of today, it's almost common practice, but when it came out it was a pretty sensitive subject, early access itself was still in early access and wasn't the norm it is today
