yeah the server i spent most of my time in had x2-6 rates. it helps a lot but the further you go the more grinding you need. especially if you like to build large bases, and that goes triple if you find good asc bp

Actually, Otters act like clothes. They provide insulation, based on their melee stat. It's not a buff like what you get when riding a seapickle. And the insulation spreads like a meter or so, so Otters can also help you hatch eggs.

that's why. sp can have issues with spawning because the area has to be rendered to spawn things. just sit at the mouth of the cave for 10-15 minutes and things should respawn

Well, in theory it works. I use the formulas on the wiki, but i take all multipliers and needed values directly from the devkit.
My issue is that on the wiki there is an example with rex stats and there is the id value which is 0.27, but in the devkit the value is 0.2.
So im just wondering where does that 0.27 come from, when it's nowhere to be found in the devkit.

Sorry for the late response but to TL;DR:

When you collect a note, regardless of where you are in-game (official or unofficial) you'll always be able to read it as it's tied to your account. However, the actual experience you get from the note is tied to your character. So two different characters would be able to collect the same note, but they won't share the XP gained between them nor will they be able to get XP from those notes again.

So yeah, if you're trying to do a note run might be best to make a new character and start over if you're not a high level already.

If you're not doing a bit, punch trees and pick up rocks until you can build a pick then use that to get flint craft a hatchet etc etc

It's unfortunate but where we're at, complaining about it won't change anything. I'm not particularly thrilled losing all my progress but I enjoy the game enough to restart again on the new version and look forward to the changes.
