I’ve never tried. I’d assume the net works the same as a bola in which case it would not. You can build a trap for a yuti and well the quetz is what it is. If you already have one you could build a trap on it and get the other one or fly with a two man team to tranq it.

After you tranq it check it’s stats. Anything 135+ with 30ish points in a desired stat is worth a tame.

If you’re on gen 2 you don’t even have to knock it out to check. Use hlna to look at its values and put them into Dododex

I wouldn’t tame it. That’s gonna be a gamble. It is possible, though unlikely that you could get heavy distribution into either melee or health to bring it over 40 after tame. But keep in mind you only need high points in either health or melee. It doesn’t have to be both.

Sorry, I absolutely love this game but if you're not careful you're going to get lost amongst the big titles launching in the next few months. The game isn't dying, as a company you are killing it. Revealing a game then no info for 2 years, teasing additions then no info, game bugs that don't get fixed. The franchise is in danger and its up to you to save it.
