yeah, that one takes forever even with Tusos. I think i had to use mate boosted tusos to clear it, and it still took ages. 42 base HP levels and around 40 base melee levels. The alpha boosted mate boosted Dunkles take so little damage it's insane

reapers make great tanks, and also especially helpful because of their knockback in the gen 1 bossfight

some people claim that rexes are good for the gen 1 bossfight too, but I'd rather use theris and reapers

for the island bosses I'd suggest theris over rexes btw

So the issue is with the obelisk trying to find dinos to add to the uploadable-dinos screen. needs a player that no longer exists since you uploaded i spose. as for what causes it, not sure. as for 'everything being gone', more likely its only your character but everything on the map is still there. you can recreate a character with commands, taketribe 0 while looking at a dino to take your stuff back, maketribefounder to gain admin, and try verify your files

You should look into port forwarding on your Router. Ark requires at least port 7777 for UDP forward but can also require 27015 UDP for Steams server browser port.

Although once your forward 7777, they can just join you via Steam friend menu so that should be fine, but i would do both to be sure.

Yeah, that is usually where hosting Ark sessions get stuck. How you do port forwarding depends on your router manufacturer. They're all different unfortunately and how you login to your to router can be different too.

You should be able to lookup the brand and figure it out from there. Most have easy to find sections for port forwarding.

That's way too broad and depends on personal preferences. There's no real solid answer to which is the "best" flier.

Some would prefer ptera's raw speed. Some prefer a wyvern's combat abilities, or the fact you can shoot off a Griffin's back. Some like the snow owl's diving and x ray. Some like argentavis' general reliability and ability to carry harvesters, or Quetz' weight capacity and ability to be a flying base

And some really weird people like moths

I got Ark on Switch just recently and it is both everything like Ark on Xbox and nothing like Ark on Xbox, but the single player settings don’t save between sessions and now I’m bummed out that I can’t tame a Rex while breeding a Rex 😂😅

the phone version is basically a different game, it's by a different company and has a lot of different mechanics

As in, can’t play two at once. Switch is alright. Essentially exactly the same game but for some reason the controls are all mucked about (despite xbox and switch having the same number of buttons) and single player doesn’t retain your settings, so have to redo them every time.

oh yeah beaver dams also give paste, but I wouldn't suggest them, they can get quite unreliable at times compared to having a reliable source of chitin and stone/a bunch of snails

Killing lower level Dinos or ones you don’t want means they could spawn in again at another lvl, it’s a maybe but Difficulty lvl and what map you’re on can impact Dino lvl
