It head is a kapro and it body is is a araripesuchus or ratcroc it has spike on it tail and back attached by the spine and a second pair of ribs they can feel these and the spike are like turtle shells they are around 39 to 46 feet in length and weigh 6 to 7 tons and are 5.2 to 6 ft tall

Is this visual glitch normal? Found this old screenshot. Taken in an official primitive survival rules PvP server probably early 2016. I miss the good old days. This day every tribe with a giga went for a stroll through The Island. This was PvP server, mind you. Back then with rates being 1/4 of what they're now, max wild level dinos were 120 and this was short after breeding was introduced, no super breeds yet. Also, primitive servers were so much more well balanced. People knew how hard it was to gather and build stuff, you con't just go around blowing stuff up and wars were much more intense and risky. So yeah, multiple tribes had gigas and multiple tribes could coexist in the same server, unlike today where a single tribe just obliterates any player trying to establish themselves with their super bred, extremely mutated dinos. I actually had some scuffles with a couple of these tribes and we sorted things out, by bargaining or trial by combat. The community built on that server was made out of respect for every one's tames and bases, and sure, every now and then someone would try to destroy my base and I even wiped a couple tribes that tried that.

But it was a completely different atmosphere from today. Enemy players were worrisome, sure. But you could still coexist. We would have up to 50 or so players online at a time and that didn’t mean bases were being destroyed all the time.

Some journal entry of my Ark-inspired OC Jamie about Santiago (my design inspired by the notes) running some simulations on his Mek-Data. The Mech itself is a Vulture from Battletech and the the journal text explains why (Jamie sometimes is a little jerk as well). Had to use some refs to get it right. Flat coloring, still needs some shading.

Journal Text:
Today I watched Santiago running some simulations on the data of the Meks he did built so long ago,
accompanied by his cursing, luckily mostly in Spanish, so I didn't understand most of it.
It is kinda cute, that he is invested so much in his work but I am no better, when it comes
to my art.
Still, I decided to tease him a bit, remembering an old Tabletop game people
tended to play when I still was in London. It was called Battletech, a
battle simulation with Mechs. I made a sketch of a Vulture, a Mech out of that game
and showed it ti Santiago, claiming, he would never be able to built one like that.
I think I really triggered him with this claim.
He stared at me and I could already see that he started to think about how to proof
me wrong.. now nearly a year later he really realized it and made the design work.
he had to make some alterations but the core design still holds and now I have
to live with the fact, he always rubs his success into my face.

I just designed a very primitive little map idea for Ark. It is a combination of all the continents. The light green areas are grassland and the brown area is swamp/floodplains. If this ever got made the new creatures included would be Tarbosaurus, Tarchia, Cave Lion, and Anteosaurus.

I’d call it Terra Nova

the more health the creature you sacrifice had the more taming it does
a couple thousand is usually good, like some ankys if you dont feel like tryna drag a rex over to it
i dont think an ovis is gonna do much at all despite it being mutton
the pre taming thing only shows up once youve fed it once
