If I may offer my 2c I think you should just make sure the compare images are relatively accurate as best you can considering the constraints. Then just make a basic shape overlay comparison for the dimensions put into the specs. Expand upon it in the future to support 3d/our product images etc

You are choosing first camera, then you are checking what do you want to compare from specifications (like release date, mpix, max fps etc.) and then site is comparising random second camera with the same specs that you checked
For example: I'm choosing Pentax K-r and I want to compare it to random body that have 12mpix too
