yes, recording to SSD is internal recording using internal processing power to an external storage point

recording with an external recorder uses the external recorder's processing power through typically HDMI RAW

anything compotent in video can be used with an external recorder, except for stuff that don't do sensor HDMI output like the Fuji XE1 or XPro1 or XT1 and most point and shoots

some brands claim SSD recording but really it's just external recorder with an SSD plugged in

I believe the Zr was supposed to be SSD recording

or at least it was promised in a firmware update, if anyone knows

a big long throw slider that goes from 100% to 80% crop is good enough for most things

big enough to crop from 35 to 50mm for example, correcting for imbalance for times of laziness

had to open up a real photo editing app to crop my image before I posted to social media, that's a sin
