I mean it makes sense once you know but it's still blah
yeah its not gonna be fun adding all of these
ILC is the interchangeable lens camera, E is the mount, 9 is the series m2b is the version/generation

M for Movie?
ohh
so is this right
i wouldve assumed c for cine or something but already taken so makes sense yeah
ok should be fixed
yeah id make it a bit more consistent, currently its "a9" "A9" or "a7"
small a for alpha
and the I should be capital
in a7 a9 yeah
yeah
ok ok
its a shitshow on the website
The Alpha Alpha9
whoever is adding sony sutff please put a space between the camera and the mark numerals
sony shitshow once again
I only added the a9 II before I saw cater shitting up all the others ;P
yep sorry had realised it cant be edited after so assumed delv would be able to add the proper nomenclature
but uhh
i guess not
so are we just gonna stick to a9 III like that for all?
ok final answer
how do i add like a verdict and also an image
just leave both if anything
good for the Ai review summary
i mean you can add the verdict if you feel up to it
just make sure it's well written, and be prepared for others to want adjustments to it
should be as objective as possible
ill actually think about what im writing if i do the verdict
i will most likely only leave reviews on cameras i own/owned
which will just be a7iv, a9ii, a6400 and soon a9iii
yeah that would be nice haha
i would say only do your own cameras generally
do all of them really need a verdict
not urgently
for context:
we have user reviews which are just left by anyone (ideally someone who owns it lol)
then we have editorial reviews (will be written later by selected people who are good at writing) (will be an article format)
like whos gonna give a serious verdict on the d1
staff verdict i'm still deciding if we even need it
gfx >
i feel the verdict will be good on newer stuff
a9ii verdict is pretty clear for me
but this also kinda requires people buying that stuff
and having experience with similar cameras id think
i think you can speak on your experiences
yeah staff verdict is an important point for newer cameras about like "where this launch seems to have landed in the market"
like the a9ii is obviously mogged by a lot of cameras now, but it keeps up with me af and burst wise
meant to hold over until an editorial review can be written
i just feel his would need a lot of input from multiple people as to not be biased at all
yeah ideally it should be a concensus discussed here then added
it's more of a thing for when site is launched and a hot new item gets added
but feel free to write for obvious things like Z6iii or things like that where everyone kinda knows what's up
just for a brief explanation of its strengths and weaknesses i presume?
and if its actually a worthwhile cam
- how it landed in the market compared to compeition
- strengths
- weaknesses
- who it's for
- who it's not for
how it landed in the market? or how it sits now
because a9ii mogged a ton of shit in 2019, but its far from special anymore
makes sense if a camera stays relevant for that long
yeah like, d5300, D3200, D7200, D750, D810
these are all commonly recommended despite age
best in price range type stuff should always have verdict and most attention
along with the still pretty high end stuff like 1dx2 and whatnot which is still quite good
but yeah thatd be nice for recs
just dropping a link to the d7200 and having it all explained there and then for the buyer
yup
way better than them going off and looking at cameradecision or versus or whatever
or /rec d7200
command 🔥
fully automated recs by 2027 😭
sooner
big project though
i tried it before but no matter how many instructions a normal AI agent cant do good recs
probably would have to train a model
or blend with regular code logic
i think always itll need a human
there's so many nuances though it might hjust require humans
frankenstein's monster my brain
as most people cant outline what they want in a camera well
welp he volunteered
go for it
i already downloaded the entirety of #💸・shopping-help before and tried to train a model off of it
did not work
i want sony i want sony
the shopping help bias would fuck everything
i want a6700 and i have 20 dollar lens budget
not even as individuals being biased but just the sheer amount of people wanting low end shit
localized global shutter
in little lines
call that rolling shutter
"With a budget of 3000 USD we can recommend Nikon D3200 with AF-S DX 18-70mm f3.5-4.5 G. This keeps your options open for a wild range of photography but also future preferences with lenses and genres!"
next project is horizontally stacked sensors
for faster burst
two sensors two lens mounts
the rolling shutter would be so crazy
genius actually
i cant even fathom how thatd look
every pixel should have its own rolling shutter
and they all roll at the same time
so it all happens at once
it would like minimize rolling shutter in the center and then the edges just get fucked
real
first video: viewfinder "silent" shooting (not really silent
)
second video: live view silent shooting (quieter but still not 100% silent)
in each video the first couple shots are the normal modes, then i switch it to silent
the live view silent mode is actually noticeable quieter in person
idk i think we just keep the switch to say it has the mode avaialble
anyone who needs actual silent shooting will know i think
there's also this mode where it's extremely quiet if you hold down the shutter and when you release the shutter button it releases the shutter to its original position
yea i agree
Yeah that's what I meant lol
@errant fox do you mind giving me access to add new gear to the Canon stuff?
Between me Shawn and square we should be able to pump out most of the DSLR cameras within a day or so
down to help with this btw
only in the sony department obviously but yea
mav is down to bang
jordan you should write something
something
Mav if you add all the specs to the a9iii and it gets approved you can write the review
It won't let you before the data is complete tho
thank you
ill write 1dx2 review ong
@errant fox need global shutter as an option
I just put 0ms readout lol
done
I had to look that up
never even seen it mentioned as a relevant spec
also this is a solid
get america'd
Approved feel free to write the review now
Oh nvm you already did one
I approved it right after he posted the screenshot :x
Ah
It was delv that wrote a review not mav
You can write a staff verdict tbh Mav I don't think there's anyone better to write it
I don't think I have the time to write something not rushed lol
it's best for someone else to write and I help edit
have to visit the page and scroll down to it to edit
I don't see that
o
that's the easy part haha
maybe its admin only
that whole feature is WIP
just skip for now if you want
also need a way to manage the Lens Mount field when it's a fixed lens
yeah that's going to have to be a whole different item type i think
actually you're a genius
later though
just have it as N/A or have it as "Fixed" or "Non-Removable" no?
I just chose G for the 100RF and L for Q3 for now
then we can just add a free text field for the specs of the lens maybe, or a couple basics
todo tomorrow:
- shutter speed > decimal
- fixed lens option for mount + text field for fixed lens details
minor nitpick but in the spec sheet readout is just listed as a number with no form of time measurement
so no MS on the end
and Zfc and Zf do have spaces technically if that really matters
nikon is a bit stupid with it like sony
Z6III Z5II Z50II dont have spaces
but Z 8, Z 9, Z fc, Z f, etc all do for some reason
doubt it really matters unless model number shit
shhhhhhhhhhhh was trying to not draw attention to that

Z 9 just looks fucking stupid
its not worth the hassle
especially when they dont even know which ones need it
Z6III but Z 6II is stupid
I don't mind the spaces on the sub models or whatever
i just thought Zfc looked a little silly for some reason so checked
Z6 III looks better than Z6IIII imo
yeah but spacing the Z and model is funny
but a space after the Z sucks
i was mostly just checking the Zfc wasnt ZFC instead
and noticed it
lets see if canon does it
nope they keep it normal :/
EOS Rxxx Mark II
@errant fox i accidentally solved the xqd cf card cams problem lol
there actually is a model number significance
Interesting
But unfortunately dats doesn’t allow for identical names
Still better as a note I think
at least theres something to differentiate them whatsoever
this also doesn't match the model number format in the manuals though
really?
i mean we could make different items D5-a and D5-b if we want
yeah would be simplest
just something on there saying "This camera can be purchased in two variants, one being two XQD or CFexpress Type B slots and the other being two CFast slots"
also btw mpb has a space for all the nikon z ones before the roam numerals
not sure why
i wonder if there's a reason or they just got it wrong
looks nicer probably
also probably what people search most
i doubt anyone searches Z 6III
we just gotta choose one and stick to it
we're gonna go with nikons
oh god
ok as long as there is no space after the Z
ill sc rq
see if you can find them reference it in a news post or something
see how it is there
especially with this contradicting it
but then
I got a ton of free time today so canon dslr spec sheet will continue
I'm about to get home, you can directly add them to the website if you'd like
I'm just adding all the Canon mirrorless first and then I'm going to go through your sheet and add all of the dslrs that are there
the text is not visible in dark mode fyi
@errant fox can you give my account admin? i'm going to start adding ef lenses if possible
@errant fox can you also give me admin? I'll start adding anything that isn't there
me when i add 100 items and its still not enough for square and shawn
@errant fox lens magnification shows up as 0
i typed in the correct magnification in the text box, but when i submitted the edit it changed to 0
i think floh is sleeping
well yes you haven't added the 1987 lenses
how about you finish the 50 things i added before you complain

Are editing suggestions already being reviewed by you guys or does it only make sense to edit as a mod currently?
they're actively being reviewed right now
you can contribute
i wanna write 1dx2 review
is iso native or expanded?
max selectable is 102400, 1dx2 native is 51200, expanded max is 409600
also not sure if this has been mentioned or not, but what do we do about variable max fps values
variable?
cameras like d5 or 1dx 1/2/3
different fps in vf and live view
max vf most relevant imo too yea
i also feel like it would be nice if it said cfast 1.0/1.1 and 2.0 instead of sata ii and iii because those are more widely used
and what about older compatible batteries that limit functionality (continuous shooting speed)
I'm actively reviewing them for a few more hours but there's basically always someone up
I've also being doing battery life off ovf and evf so yeah
Ignore I think
I think I'm wrong
has anyone found how to easily search the CIPA battery life data on a camera?
not really, but chat gpt can get it right 99 percent of the time
otherwiose camera compare does it when comparing cameras
@errant fox could I have admin some time? I feel like a lot is still missing and it would go faster with more people
if you need any info i’ll get it to you in like 8 hours i’m going sneeps
im not giving it to everyone guys
only like 2 people have admin rn
it's just not needed
same for editor
if you need things created just send list
once site is really launched need for editors and admins will be much less
so don't want to add to many rn
maybe i can make a private page for creating items for people in this chat
all good
yeah, when i type "2012" it goes to "1912"
the app is just an old soul
and when i try to edit something after i submit a suggestion, the whole site bugs out and doesnt open up the edit menu
had to refresh
ill check, you're not supposed to be able to do that though
either way
it should show "you already have a change request pendign for this item" or similar
it happened when i tried to suggest an edit for something that was already approved
and suddenly it works now that i tried it just now
maybe it's if you try before refreshing
interesting
this is also a bit difficult
because readout changes depending on photo to video usage
and also depends on the resolution, crop or frame rate
yes native
also @errant fox for batteries, do we only include the battery that provides full compatability? For example LP-E19 is the only battery that provides all the features, the older version for the 1dx 1 do work but they restrict some features since they're lower power or something
same with some canon mirrorless and older LP-E6 variants
lpe6, lpe6n, lpe6nh, lpe6p
any battery you can plug in and the camera can shoot
but also don't feel the need to be super exhaustive lol
but how do we differentiate which one is the one that supports all functions?
if you use an older battery sometimes some video options arent avilable, as well as reduced continuous shooting speed
canon is wild
just put them in best to worst order for now
the one it ships with on top
we can enhance somehow later maybe
lmao ok
a7iv only has focus bracketing on firmware 4.0

also fastest shutter speed is mech shutter or is this including e-shutter
yeah i was debating seperating that
just do max total for now
what's the fastest mechanical shutter out there rn?
i know some old 1D CCD cameras have 1/16k mechanical
dont think theres anything higher
1/8000 is most common mech shutter
yea
iirc we still havent gotten responses from the manufacturers for permission
time to add my a7iv review
i limited to 3 for now, maybe not a good idea
all good
like flagships just excel at everything
but i guess Z9 still best would be Sports Wildlife Weddings
no ones bringing Z9 on travel or product
just try to choose 3 best
1dx2 was great for portrait, wildlife, landscape, events, street, macro, sports, travel
prolly just pick the ones that it's the best at
yeah, like what you would buy it for if that's all you were shooting
ya
ah
for the user reviews it could be nice to have like accents
like bold, italics, etc
true
well
those are meant to be relatively short
i need to add a character limit
if you want to write full reviews, there will also be "editorial" reviews which are posted as articles by vetted writers
those are just meant to be like short user experience reviews from the general publc
how hard would it be to add italics and **bolding **like discord with asterisks?
that's called markdown, very easy
cool
“How hard can it be” is my favorite dev comment
okay ill make this shorter then
i submitted a review but i dont see it
found it
hurhurhur
yeah that's way too long haha
the ai summarizer only accepts like 600 characters per review i think
color depth is 24.5 bits? doesn't sound right
i cant find any other info on it either somehow, will continue searching
color depth?
yeah
is it not 10/12/14 bit?
pretty sure yeah, i think even the hasselblads have only 14/16
this looks like AI replaced color depth with megapixels
24.5 doesnt sound right
im checking dpreview rn
hmm it doesnt say
also what's the difference between single point and 1 point af lol
i forget
just pick what the camera calls it if possible
i think 1 point is canon version of pinpoint?
does this sound okay for the r8? it has spot af (small point), single point (bigger than spot), then 3 customizable af zones, and full auto point
spot af is canon's small point
im not sure i dont know canon well
hmm ok i'll leave it like that for now then
also is electronic VR for photo and video or just one of them
r8 has electronic vr in video mode only
is that a yes or no?
Yes
there is but i couldnt find how to look up specific gear
send pls
ill figure it out
works for me
skill issue i guess
lmao what
Some fixes rolling out
- fixed lens option added to mounts ( @tepid nest )
- changed fps to support decimals (ie. 6.5 fps @minor bough )
- labeled ISO inputs to indicate Native ISO
- fixed year on date input ( @snow yarrow )
- fixed dark mode display of tooltips on user profile badges ( #1420462464121831517 message)
killing it guys
why's the focal length 377mm
99.5% sure i typed in 400mm
also, no field for expanded iso?
will add
but the problem is they have non-standard names
rather than just being numbers
or we coudl jsut show the underlying numbers
i need to understand what expanded ISO really means
like do we care
it sounds kinda useless from what i just learned
it's just digital exposure
it's like only useful for JPG maybe
i know it's just digital boosting/pulling, but i feel like it might be nice to know what bodies can go to 50 or 64 iso, i dont think the higher expanded isos matter too much but it'll be nice to have
lower is also just digital underexposing
doesn't help image quality at all
same noise as ISO 100
hmm
same lol
lol I added like 70 canon lenses
im filling them out
only the good ones first cuz u can have the 75-300 and 28-90 and that shit
oh hell nah
@errant fox still broken lmao
which item
ef 85 1.2 ii
it's 0.11x
fix for magnification not saving is deploying + fixed that field on the 85
fix for weird dates also up yet or nah?
yes
fire
Four more work days and this contract is done then I’ll have time to contribute
okay no problem
understoodf
teleconverters?
who's added all the canon gear
ok so it’s not just me 😭
I thought I was just having a major skill issue 😭😭
does sharply have a tesla parking camera
will it go this deep
But yes if we could do that that would be so funny
if you imagine these rectangles separate
Because they definitely have names internally
So just need a spy
Tesla camera lens and iPhone lenses lmao
me, lexi, square
cool
i've added a lot of the actual specs themselves
yeah i realised you have to click into each lens
and add more details
💀
this is so much work lol
also i cant find the exact release date for 1dx2 no matter how hard i try
i think it was like april 2014 but i cant seem to find a day
i would assume so
yes it does?
yup
https://www.sharplyphoto.com/gear/canon-ef-85mm-f-1-2l-ii-usm 85 1.2 ii is completed, fully functional

ah i see
sub 900 on ebay, $1999 on amazon
I wanted to add eBay link as well but eBay doesn’t really work like that sadly
Unless im missing something
??
pretty sure it's possible
Lmk
Get the best deals for Canon Ef 85mm F1.2 II at eBay.com. We have a great online selection at the lowest prices with Fast & Free shipping on many items!
it just looks goofy tbf
that front element
is that not what you wanted?
oh yeah
well the prefilled search is basically that for ebay lol
the thing is, i dont like amazon either
because the lenses can be sold by 3rd parties
and half of sony is sold by third party
or like adorama
it would mean constantly updating links
I think like Nikon and canon are pretty safe for that
The rest just exclude maybe
Maybe no good
im just adding the first links i see anyways for amazon
some of them sold by amazon, some by third party, some renewed.
Hm
Me lmao
If it’s not sold by Amazon I would just do a search link or leave blank
I'm just gonna keep adding all the Canon lenses on EF mount ever, then slowly we can fill them out
these lenses could benefit from affiliate purchases if someone clicks it lol
if thats the point of the links
if the point is just to show the end-user it exists.... just do the manufacturer link
Yes doing Amazon and mpb
Gotta pay for server somehow
u focus on adding everything first
ill keep adding the specs and after ur done adding, u work on the specs too
thats every sony lens added
ill do tamron and sigma some time idfk
added a few tamron, will finish later.
yum
Every or every one you added to your sheets?
Btw, we should make like a badge “staff recommended (good value)” for lenses on your sheets
Including the shit ones
Lmao
Yeah sounds good
I’m sleep
Sleep mode
Easy
Only got like 25 years left
well ur only doing the names for now so shouldnt take long
if you want this to be a curated library I wouldn't include it tbh
truly useless spec
me when no 35-150
Oop

can you delete this one for me
i messed up
What’s messed up
I’ll add it
yeah i have to do it because it requires a couple different technical changes
later i can make a tool for it
lots of work for small thing hto
ah oke
lowercase Di right
fixed
thank you pookie
link won't work anymore
new slug tamron-28-300mm-f-4-7-1-di-iii-vc-vxd
Real specs, real reviews, real fast. Sharply is the newest and most comprehensive photography gear database and review platform featuring expert reviews, real specs, and side-by-side comparisons in a modern, minimalist interface.
hmm
ill find a solution
- Gear rename button added to gear page (pencil next to name) and to the admin/gear table
- Added support for multiple mounts on lenses
not for me
Bruhhh
ah i see
its fixed but you have to type it differently
like if i start typing from "DD"
it is broke
Can you record
uhhh
I’ll take another look at it either way
Oh btw it’s MM DD YYYY
Oh
please dont do MM DD YY
Well anyway, I’m gonna change to YYYY MM DD so its universal
Focus distance not focal length
thats is MFD
of Tamron 150-500mm
see
this is a silly measurement
tamron 150-500mm can focus 0.6m at mfd
Change unit?
yes
Ok
not even change unit, just make it variable
like you can select your own units
but in metric
mm/cm/m
maybe just mm/cm

Display on the page can be converted to whatever
So whatever is most common we should use for input
probably in cm then?
2500mm lol
oh i see
could be an odd one
I'm guessing only mods can write staff verdicts?
Admin only atm
It’s meant to be discussed in advance
Only for important/relevant/new items as needed
New releases, hall of fame
Oh I thought it would be useful for even old lenses to pick out the best in its class
idk like Nikon af-s 17-55mm F2.8 as the best F2.8 standard zoom on F mount aps-c
or Tamron G2 24-70mm F2.8 as the best F2.8 standard zoom on F mount FF
etc
yes exactly
"hall of fame"
consistently recommendable despite age and compeitition counts
ah ok
@snow yarrow date fixed for real, same with the focus distance is now cm and shows a preview of the display
- Improved search/filter on the admin/gear page (won't only include the current page if anyoen noticed that bug)
even though it sucks balls
thank you :)
Real
Who are the admins? Just you?
And Seth and Mav
Seth hasn’t even seen the invite
Basically just chose randomly lmao
Admins not needed right now really
Do I have the editor role?
is the admin dashboard not really admin
guess not lol
maybe like jordan said we're some form of editors just there to approve stuff
video of lexi inputting every single fucking ef lens in existence
Yes
Admins have extea pages on the dashboard but right now basically the same as editors
floh this auto-conversion preview is very nice, appreciate it
thanks to @snow yarrow for sparking the idea

also lenses and cameras will eventually be separated right?
having them all just mixed on one page feels a bit funky
maybe have them on one page, but separate them and have cameras organized at the top and lenses at the bottom or something?
yeah i'm trying to think of how these pages could actually be useful
like what is even the goal of someone who is on this page?
looking to compare cameras?
90% of the time people will just search the gear theyre looking for
or comparing lenses and stuff in general
true but it would be weird not to have a page with everything on it
well yeah we have a compare tool, but again you can just add things with the search bar
just make it a catalog of items lowk
for people to see
maybe ordered in chronological order?
well yeah but that's what it is now
at least organize it somewhat
currently it's ordered by added time rather than release date which would be a good change
we already have a global search tho
no like, searching by category like wide angle, standard, tele, prime, zoom etc
yes that lol
what do we do about this
Hmmm
Do you have announced date?
If you can only find one of the two just use it for both, if neither then… look harder
Like I’m sure they had press releases in 2001
Worst case just leave it blank
Or maybe we use December 1 2001?
thos good enough?
dpreview
Nah that’s just prototype
I could make an “exact date unknown” checkbox or something
yeah that sounds good
You can’t enter 00 for day right
Okay yea I have a good idea for handling this
Will make a way to specify the precision of the date, so we if we dont know day but we know month and year precision would be month
Then we can just enter 01 for the day or anything and just hide it from UI
oh yeah
Or can it just be a checkbox to hide the date? I think we should like 99.9% be able to choose a year and month lol
have a checkbox to hide the day lowk
since i feel like we can at least get year and month for everything
@minor bough i thought you added all the old lenses so far where tf is the 17-35 smh my head
Later
There's zero chance you've caught up
oh very cool
how frequently are we updating the prices on these
We should schedule periodic data checks for all items
sí
Don’t really need to schedule it, if someone notices it’s wrong we change it
With used gear the worst case scenario is pretty much that the actual prices are lower than what we said
since they almost always decrease over time
The more I'm thinking about how to structure the editorial reviews the more I wonder if people even give a shit
Like i never actually read the reviews, I just use them to find niche little features or issues mentioned, or look at them for the specs included
What do people actually want from reviews if we already have all the specs laid out?
Like if we had specs + sample images?
Nobody really reads reviews
I think just a blatant “recommended or not” but based on nuances
Maybe like a genre slider with rating
Like z6iii:
landscapes: 5/10
sports: 8/10
video: 8/10
yeah that's a good idea
maybe they should justt be short and sweet
- summary
- what are some good things you learned while testing
- what are some bad things you learned while testing
- your experience + do you recommend this and to who
- sliders for each use case (combined into an overall star review)
would be weird updating over time though
true, it's not like cameras actively get worse over time
it's just our expectations and standards increasing
yeah like something being a 9/10 on release in a year or two probably wont uphold that
also just kinda makes 10/10s unobtainable
we would not update it over time
these reviews would just be linked on the gear page
so you would go to
sharplyphoto.com/gear/nikon-z-6-iii
then it would be
[reviews for the item as cards (shows a summary, click to read the full article)]
[specs table]
[ratings for each genre (based on the reviews)]
[staff verdict]
[user reviews]
Guys they literally have a download button in the Zr press release for the images
there's just no way they would care
That’s what they are for
gah damn lexi cooking
Leo > Delv 💪💪💪
damn i gotta lock the fuck in
We should all be more like Stuart C
quality over quantity
delv must be a master craftsman
no will add
I also still see UHS-Ii instead of UHS-II
oh yeah
I can't seem to change the GFX100RF mount from G to Fixed
I will shut up now
Overall it's looking reall nice. The website is great and everyone has been killing it with the data.
keep exposing the 🐛
what happens or doesn't happen?
lmao this is how i felt after my first hour dropping about 10 different bugs 😭
I go into edit and select Fixed in the drop down menu and the drop down list goes away but the mount field never changes even after hitting save/continue.
very cool
I think staff verdict should be placed above specs, it's probably the most important part if you quickly want info about the product
hmmm
maybe
can reconsider another time
once things are developed
currently i have the written review at the top, then specs, then staff verdict, thne user reviews
maybe can switch the editorial review and the staff verdict
what's the written review
can't find any product with it 😅
I would just love to have this info being the first thing you see
good sum up of the camera
yeah that's probably a good idea honestly
ill come back to that, need to redesign that section too
btw awesome work on the site, just found this thread
ty!
damn yo that's crazy that a $5k camera is fixed lens
oh this one lmao
fucking whack
fix for the mount issue going in right now
lol
The lens mount change isn't reflected on the main gear page. It is when I click edit though.
Also need ISO 80 in the drop down or allow typed in numbers maybe
i'll add it
this one is wild, not sure about that will look
Maybe in the edit page you can tint or give a subtle highlight to fields that don't have anything in them yet just for ease of browsing for the editor?
thanks
This is fixed for real now sorry
Mounts are unreasonably complex
no reason to be sorry you're kicking ass
That broke when I had to add ability for lenses to have multiple mounts
how about filter thread sizes 😄
Yes I need to redesign that whole flow
Thinking of giving an option to just show missing fields on the chart so you can just edit individual fields.
And going to add categories and highlighting to the edit form
Available
Might need to choose what type of filter it accepts first
oh maybe it's not available because body was selected technically
fixed lens shit throws a wrench in stuff
Should we add a matching lens entry? Or just add fixedLensThreadSize to cameras
I kinda think we should be able to add all the lens stuff to them since we have the data
Just need to decide if I want lens specs in camera table or deal with linking separate fixed camera and lens items lmao
yeah
Both are shit
The one doesn’t really have a name though, so it would be pretty hard to make a separate entry
If you select fixed lens in the mount field it should give you lens fields.
I don't know how to manage it on your end in backend though
What is the extent of the specs for the fixed lens just focal length and apertures and the thread size? not gonna put every single lens feature
- **lensType**: prime

This is all that I've gathered we probably just need focal length, min/max aperture, mfd, ndfilter(maybe not), thread diameter, weathersealing(?)
ND filter is such a minor thing, would be better for notes imo
Same with like built in TCS
Majority of lenses don't have it so it's just easier to not add it
Shouldn’t fixed lens always be weather sealed
yeah I don't disagree but they are pretty major features to hide also
nah
shit this one isn't even weather sealed unless you put on the filter
Things that 1/500 gear items have can just be notes on those items
like the TCs on the Nikon teles is one of the major selling points even
nice that'll work
is pushed
filled it out 🙂
just added notes field as well
must stay on top of leaderboard
about to add "camera type"
not sure how i forgot this lol
what lol
cause im opening links and copy pasting the names of the lenses
from the canon museum cause its quickest way to add them
also means i dont make spelling errors
updated to value specs over creation
im still winning ill take it
peeps z6iii pic should be fixed
ya
where are images sourced from?
i think nikons website
im just grabbing from nikon press release
they include them with a download button sooooo
i was thinking it was fine if the canon ones are the same style as the z6iii for example as long as theyre the same for all the cameras
yeah also easiest for people to take on their own
dont have to worry about getting angle correct
just the correct focal length and lighting
one setup in one guys house and we all send gear to them
ah rip
also what is the cfeb bus lel
just added deploying now
wym
do you have to pick the media bus or is it optional
optional
alr approve my edit and i’ll add it
approved
Alr battery added
Card******
minor, but readout speed should be followed by ms in the page
@errant fox "weight with battery" in lens input field
should be just weight i think
and i couldnt find mpb value but i found this
50 stm submitted
There's probably not enough of them to be in mpb lol
55-250 stm submitted
70-200/2.8 iii submitted
I'll do more later gotta go to class
70-200/4 submitted
good boy
why does this change? it's supposed to be 1200
when does it change?
after i submit it
it worked for me idk
the fuck lmao
