Where do you live?
why
Location Tennessee
I think they get extra orange sometimes
this part of spain
wait are you talking about long tailed tits
Idk then
you should be able to
oh
idk sorry
but where do i search?
I love warblers
there's loads of long tailed tits in spain too..
yes but i dont think theyre going to hang around in gardens
atleast that has been my experience
Gn everyone
well according to ebird they're everywhere
gn
Lifer northern mocking bird
I see them more in forests and golf courses
i wish i lived in australia
i would love to go to australia, they have so many cool and unique species
sometimes too many (spiders)
i am terrified of spiders
Azure tit seems like a cool bird as well
knowing there's a spider season scares me even more
i've never seen one before.
?
i think id rather go to new zealand
The people will look different
same
i remember my friend once caught like a wolf spider
How do you take photos of super long tailed birds whilst still looking good
same thing but way less spiders and no real dangerous ones
this is what bokeh can do
you can barely see the flamingos behind
i forgot to give feedback, this one is really beautiful
yep, i know
💀
jule has arrived
It's a pretty colour as well bokeh wise
holy stare
what are some common ones in central europe
tawny owl
one of the hardest to see btw

but maybe you also have barn owls and little owls too
Barn yeah they have
Hibiki is such a cute Barn owl in the falconry
seems like there are a bunch of tawny owls in my area
barn owls rather little but they exist
tawny owl in eu is really common the hardest part is to see them
they are very scared to humans (except for city ones)
probably also less active during the day right
yeah they are mostly night and sunset birds
How did u get it in box
Deftones bird
Aw
it's it nest
You shoved its nest in a box
it's a conservation natural reserve
so they put some of them in the reserve to help them
Why on earth is there a bird at my feeder at midnight
When you're hungry you're hungry
regular duck and a sphere
Im actually getting trolled
Every single morning until afternoon its sunny, which is when i dont have time
And right when im done it starts to rain
lol
This has been happening for the past week
Btw
Is it just me or is the Ca stronger the more resolution you get?
Like on apsc it’s already zoomed in and I feel like on apsc shots with the 200-600 there’s more Ca than on full frame
You can indeed
I did some nr on the eye so it won’t look as crisp as the raw
Un edited
what kinda swan is that
very cool
That’s the name
i dont think we have those here in finland 😭
They don’t live in Europe naturally
So they are pretty rare
ohh
I have never seen one
What I did see though was a flamingo at the Danube 💀
It’s been a couple of years but that was still crazy
This one was in france
But yh theyre mostly escapees
I know
So theres probs less than a hundred in france
On the illegal property?
No this is in a natural reserve
Ok
Well i saw it in the lake next to it
Or private idk
K
You did talk about a swan at a property where you couldn’t get easily
Yh thats another place
Just a slight difference between the phone and cam pics
cute birdi
In nomine avis, amen
The holy dove
Yeah because you use your phones camera app
This is with Lightroom cam
On phone
Light was shit and the duck was running around
yeah you see the finer imperfections of the lens
pigeon 👍 👍
Went hiking here yesterday, expecting tons of birds
Pretty much the only noteworthy bird I saw was this dove
Sad
Have u seen the black swan pics 👀
Put the lens as close to the water as possible like you do for ur duck photos
Yeah it can be frustrating
Yeah i saw nice pic but the light is kinda strong
Easy to fix when edited
I just got home rn
Got some dark background shots too so hopefully gonna get some nice portraits
🔥
where
where was that?
Is it just me, or were you really, really close?
How far away was it?
some photos were 5m away some 0.8-0.9m away
it's a swan and it's probably used to humans
Crazy i have starlings nesting in my garden tree

@grizzled nebula
Gonna take pics of some geese chicks
Or whatever to call the babies
oh i didnt notice that
I did lol
ill remove it
nice
the ducks were in really harsh sunlight
very nice
ngl i need to brighten the body a bit more
Well, if it's a swan, I don't know, I've never been that close to one, but with geese it's usually worse. One almost attacked me, and I was in an area meant for watching them; there were other people there.
geese are a lot more agressive
yep
And one question: does eBird usually work well for you?
for tracking birds
yes
yes
re edit
Saw my first terns of the year and bc I started birding only this year it means a new lifer
So, if you search for a bird on eBird and you go to that place, do you usually find it?
depends on the bird
idk, hoopoe
which bird do you want to see
hoopoe
yes
Those last 3
Bruh
I accidentally walked into I think a nude beach with my telephoto
Bruh
There are no signs anywhere
Duck pictures with one letter off...
It’s nude beach not sex beach
birdie and squirrel
I tried it out today
My conclusion was that birds infront of an even (so not trees, more like still water, th sky or pavement) background wide focus area is best, but for everything in like forest between sticks center is the best
these photos aren't great just because of the pose and stuff, but wow
blue jays have such insane feathers man
Swans are scary. Mean as hell
lol
They hiss like cats at u before pecking ur eyes out 💀
Did they attack you lmao
I usually leave if they hiss at me before it gets to that point
I went like right next to their babies because they were on the street and they hissed at me but nothing else
my dog got bitten by one the other day. didn't stop him trying to be friends with it 🤣
I took a couple swan photo yesterday
I have over 6,000 photos to cull right now though so I probably won't even touch them for like a year
if I even end up deciding to keep any
were you just holding the shutter lol
saw my first back swan today
may aswell make a stop motion film with these lol
i don't count the real fist time cause it was so far away
i suggest trying to hold the camera literally as close to the water as possible cause it gives these kinds of results
The ledge of the lake wasn't very flush with the water

this is probably the closest to the water I got
do you not
not that much
They are really common near me so much so I prefer seeing the white ones
if u get really close to the water even with waves it'll look nice
i had my 600 touching the water pretty much today
It just wasn't happening with the lake's edge
or rather I wasn't dressed for being in mud and potentially going in
don't need to go in
I agree it looks better
i hang the lens over the bank
But the drop off from the ledge of the lake -> water was about 1 meter on soft mud
1m is big
quite large
👀
I do not have 1m arm reach either
I'm not basketball player tall unfortunately
I don't really have a better photo for representation except in the bokeh of this photo you can see the distance between lake ledge and water
its about 1 meter, or 3ft in my units. I'm good I do not regret trying to hang over it
its all soft mud
(couldn't shoot from there cause of the log)
had to go on a small bridge to get the pics
rate /10
The swan stole ur camera and took a selfie
it did try to steal it btw 😭
Swan r mean
eh this one was cute tbf
If I had pre-capture I wouldn't take so many
then I wouldn't have to plan for missing moments
But my pre-capture, "raw burst" is awful
Just shoot in bursts when you feel something interesting is going to happen 😁
Thats what I do now
Proactive shooting > pre-capture
Man I hate the pre capture system
gnatcatcher from today - love that angry eyebrow of theirs
Anyone tried pods for getting low to the ground?
have u heard of the frying pan method
how tf u hold a 600/4 like that
there been a lot of different birbs on feeder in the past week
a crow, a blackbird, great tits, bluetits, little sparrows, yellowhammers, a squirrel and now 2 bunnies
kinda crazy because the feeder is like 3m from the house window
Wouldn't it be better if they put the names of the animals on #🦀・creatures ?
But then how do you see the camera screen?
What if your camera gets wet or you drop it?
I think it's not focused correctly.
skill issue
no pain no gain
in me local park there is a little bump down to water level (idk how to explain it) so i cant really get a water level shot unless i put the cam really down but then i cant see anything
By the lens foot
I use the tilting screen and Ik how to hold my camera so it won’t get wet Dw
No tilt screen 🤣 🫵
how low to the water did you go here
even if i had a tilt screen the af is so bad it wouldn’t be usable
i basically had the lens on the water
maybe 5mm above
damn
Need still water for that
those who know
not really
do i drag half my family out of bed early just so i can catch the sunrise and bird before school?

ohh ok
yes 100%
Yes
I almost went out at 3am to photograph a comet
But then I was like no thanks weather is actually bad
supposed to be sunny the whole day and no wind in the morning
went out for nothing
finally unlocked galleries
I'm setting my bike for a 4-day road trip.
I hope i'll see some good birds

bro stop that's just annoying now

ik i have a bad english sometimes but it's not that easy
especially when you are dys
didn't mean to be rude
it's okay one time or two but multiple times it's okay i get it
ik you don't want to but it's fustrating getting those types of comments multiples times
multiples times 🥖 🥖🥖💀
Ok jk
I make so many mistakes lmao
Worst is when my German accent slips out
Brot und Käse ahh
Nah that’s not my problem
It’s just when I’m talking to fast my th becomes ze sometimes
Ze birds are very beautiful type shi
my problem is not knowing german (i have it as a 3rd language in school)

Wait what’s your native language?
czech
Ohh
We have friends in Czech lol
So is Czech included in the three?
I was 4th grade switching to secondary school next year and was like: oh damn Latin sounds good, let’s have it as my first language because I can already speak English
🔥
at least you saw an owl ig 😭
don't even know why i sent them
not wild
better than nothing
Same
and until i get my licence (soon hopefully) i won't really be able to get anything good
cause i have nothing close to me that's really good or accessible by bus/bike
At least you’re not where I am lmao
hmm i'd probably rather be where u are
You literally have more birds than I have
i have to drive 3h or take the bus/train on a 7h journey to see all these birds
Still
For me it’s way longer
i don't even have a lake anywhere near me
I have a river but it kinda sucks
i have a river that i've never seen a bird on
It’s big but not accessible
Here in my forest there’s nothing to see at all lmao
Just things like robins and jays
Woodpeckers yeah
the only little lake i have near me i'm not even allowed to access
2 mins away by bike
The two best spots are either 23km or 40km
Nothing lmao
but since i'm not allowed in the proprety it's useless
in that lake btw
15 mins by car, about an 1h by bike
Same
But why aren’t you allowed to acces?
cause it's a private domain
Then why the heck does it have a google?
i'd need to get a room in one of the hotels there
mid river
This shit is my closest kingfisher spot and has exactly one kingfisher at a time
I waited 4h last year to get the kingfisher only slightly close
Not enough for my 300mm
(the kingfisher)
Why
Here idk I can only find my crappy edit rn, don’t know where my other one went
Mine was fully gone in winter because all the water was blocked by ducks
All the open water
Because 80% of the lake was frozen
when i saw mine was in the winter lol
Why the red markings btw?
Was the river frozen?
cause it's 2 mins from my house
so i don't want anyone to find it
I found it lmao

nope
that's a dam
My river is full of dams lol
K
Brother this is scary
You could find my exact home so fast with eBird lmao
wait ik where i need to go for ducks
there's insane potential there with the ducks
Last time i went there
this was a few years ago
and this was taken with my phone
can't remember but probs that
but there's little greebes there too
fire debut bro
tysm
i'm thinking about renting the Nikon Z 600mm f/6.3 VR S to test it out but worried a prime will be too restrictive for locating birbs in the forest
but if not that then think the only non-prime step up from sigma 150-600mm c would be the 180-600mm, though maybe only marginally
if anyone has any thoughts, otherwise may take it to the gear discussion room
locating?
I would probably use a dot scope
or like seeing birds you cant see with your eye
yeah locating, I have trouble with it now tbh lol. see it fine with my naked eye but finding / lining up the lens for smaller warblers and such through the viewfinder is tricky.
I hadn't even considered that, i will check it out ty
red dot sight sorry
like this guy?
https://www.nikonusa.com/p/df-m1-dot-sight/25953?srsltid=AfmBOookMn-Xjb6Lwg0hmJQG9ZXLDN4PLjYbHoRXiot5eDz6dg8QFrEY
The DF-M1 Dot Sight is designed to be used with select Nikon cameras. When attached to the camera's hot-shoe, it assists you in acquiring distant subjects by acting as a zoomed-out targeting device. Just line up the subject in the Dot Sight at a normal field of view to easily track it at extreme magnifications.
my second language is english
idk how you find them so easily
i think i got a cool shot of some coots fighting today
I want to squish the white bulging part of their head one day
I hate coots tbh
They look weird
Grebes are cooler
Still gotta edit this
Apple preview looks shit tbh
Red crested pochard
Lifer btw
I wish I could see those
It’s a heron idk some night crowned type shit or idk
They look like gay herons with a cut off neck
what did he do to you 😭
Yup
It's a seagull larper wanna be
Dude I'm crying it's actually so ugly
They look cool
that's a heron no?
Read the chat
he can extend the neck tho right?
I don’t think so
Disappointment of a heron
Ok yeah a tiny bit
I think normal herons look ugly
Like gray ones
The night crowned have such smooth looking feathers
1/640 super low for birbs
depends on the bird tbh
but for herons you do usually want a bit more than that
this purple heron was shot at 1/1600 but it still has motion blur lol
Even wind ruffling a feather of a sitting birb at 1/640 can blur the feather
Just go as high as you can that doesn't destroy ur ISO
nahhhh i need to take the boat to that island RN
european roller there today
maybe tomorrow if i find the time
dayummm
if anyone wants that lego kingfisher set as a shrine to attract kingfishers to you
get it before it retires this july
woah 18 upvotes on my first gallery image
deadass?
Yes
LEGO 10331 Kingfisher | BrickEconomy https://share.google/vQdESUQ5DkeYjXC01
what other birds does lego have
bigger models?
I dunno if lego has anything bigger
Deserved
bluebrixx does
BRANCHES! still cute though ❤️
sick
Could be good with a nice edit
Yeah, I only did light editing to get the colours out but want to work on them again at some point
You also can send the raws in https://discord.com/channels/728905379274162177/1478202337804685372
when sky daddy calls you home
when is the best time for kingfishers
I think sep-dec
Apple is very good
its a bit different where i live
they start getting more active around june already
I guess they migrate
year round here
Maybe a temperature thing?
Hmm
No that doesn't work
Oh they die from floods in the summer and they freeze to death in the winter
That's nice
Mid. All phones are mid.
Depends what your surroundings look like
This is your specific chances
For me winter is shit since the lake where I have them in summer freezes 70-80% and then the roundabout 40-90 ducks that are there all get concentrated in the little free spot so no place for kingfishers. They go to a little creek and can be anywhere along the creek.
theyre at a river where i live
i dont think it freezes
not many other animals either
They are at a birdwatching wetland park here
That bird is beautiful
How do you find so many varieties of birds, like the hoopoe?
it's a common birds in europe
i don't see much where i live
Not much is crazy
Hold up how many tit species you got there?
but if i go to places like frejus (30 mins away by car) hyeres (50mins to 1h by car) or camargue (3 hours by car
) i get loads of species
camargue has over 450 species iirc
blue tit, long tailed tit, great tit and all the super common ones
in camargue there's probably a few more
Well all I got here is long tailed tit, coal-, blue-, great-, and marsh tit
driving exam tomorrow
(not actual driving but theory)
i've never seen a coal tit or marsh tit
K
Apparently there’s also crested and Willow but I have never knowingly seen them
I NEED TO GO TO RUSSIA
I just read about azure tit
woah
There are so many cormorants and lesser egrets here
Thats cool ash
(._.)
Rip, I'm not travelling anywhere near there :(
Oh yeah these things are in china right
Some have yellow bellies
There are lots of wrens near me
I really want to take a photo of an African paradise flycatcher
I have been rambling on about them
But they are SO COOL
Im out here struggling to get a common kingfisher
SEE
Barely
I think males in breeding time
Cute bird though
Not rn for me but in the future if no ww3
I was researching the azure kingfisher and found it
Look where you are on the map
Yeah, but I've only seen it once.
Might try and get a day or 2 of bird photography in if I can. Only staying 5-7 days, havent decided
And I just saw that there are about 10 sparrows next to my house where there's a small roof where they perch when it rains and normally...
Why don't they come to my house to the feeder if they know there's food there? (I think they already went to the feeder)
What kind of bokeh is that lmfao
Heavily cropped
Thats the original zoom.
Oof that's a big crop
Big? Nah
That looks like 200% no
Alright mine is just a tiny bit more
That’s the closest I have ever gotten to a kingfisher
Your camera is a little better than mine
I wouldn’t say better
Mine is also more expensive
I would hope its better if its about 4x the price for the body
I use the fuji xt30-iii
Which you have 600mm, this was 300mm what I showed
aarvs was also super lucky
True
That was 500mm actually
not much more expensive than his camera
@magic crown what camo equipment would you recommend for birds in general but especially kingfishers
As I said tiny
a net do the job at start but a tiny hide bag is mostly the best
If I go on my 200-600 on 500 and zoom to 600 there’s like no difference
Get a full ghillie suit from your cool uncle
thats because the 200-600 doesnt actually zoom perfectly to 600mm
its something like 550
maybe a bit more
If I'm using my 70-300, is it better to 200mm and crop or just go to 300
300
wtf
probs would've been too close anyway
Ive heard some lenses go blurry if you go to the end. Im new to this idk
Does yours?
this is true but it doesnt make it worse than cropping
I haven't had a chance to check
however, if you think the shot looks just as good at 200mm, you might want to consider it
if it was the 75-300 cropping from 200 would've probs been the better option
Ive been taking photos for 1 month and hit my limit. Time to buy the 150-600mm
what is your limit?
was seeing a regular reflex sight for a rifle should work the same so giving that a go with a shoe mount converter. we'll see this weekend!
it looks bit like the finnish flag
thats trippy
Kung fu apparently
sparring session
proud of this one that I took at 105mm
105???! thats crazy
and the background
My tightest lens is a 105
Here are some of the other pictures I've taken at 105
I really need a telephoto
But yeah these are all of the bird photos that I'm really proud of because my lenses aren't great
these are also the only photos on my instagram atm
I'm working on some portraits but until then it's all birds
I would like to see this
I need to try one of those 1.6x things that screw into the lens
forget the name
teleconverter?
get a sigma 100-400
Yeah I know but it's expensive and I need to save for college tuition
good luck with college
school > lence
Bruh people will think you scoping to kill birds xD
it may be a very interesting day the next time I visit the wildlife refuge...
One question: when you crop a photo, does the size decrease? Or does it remain the same size but with fewer pixels?
does that bird exist?
105mm?
no
eurasian jay
the focus is not on the eye unfortunately 🙁 bit much grass to but other than that lovely birb! 😄
yeah
Pretty damn good at 105 wow
Oh right 105 x 1.5
157
That's still great
Northern mockingbird???
My new feeder
i just put some peanuts on the ground and pray
some eurasian blackbirds are nesting near my home
and two common kestrels
the field just has so many ticks so i dont really wanna go there
yea you can do that also
well that feeder has been made with a 3D PRINTER
this isnt the best design I dont think
Nice
It’s a tit bruh
photography wise I mean
hmmm
idk
So, from what I searched, this was the best.
but if you have one better you can send me on DM
I saw this once
have yall seen the bird buffet on instagram
maybe i could try do that in the future but not in my main house
well
I have a dog, I think the dog could destroy that...
is 3d print feeders good for birds
like microplastic stuff idk
i prefer mine made of wood
yep
It is special plastic for outdoor use.
real
Plastic tends to dry rot in the sun over time. Need to be conscious of what type of plastic you use to see if you'll be replacing it every other month
I made mine of wood as well
i have 2 house shaped feeders
honestly looks better but you get the issue of warping in rain
one in the forest and one in a good photo spot
Use a sealant like Rustoleum and don't nail/glue boards together cross grain
yeah had to fix the other feedes roof because it had warped
and i have this for these kinda foods
some blue tit enjoying the meal atm lol
That's the one I sent last week, and I'll print it too.
PTEG
PETG?
yes? i think
genius
Outside moisture and the sun will dry rot PETG causing it to become brittle and flake apart
PETG is porous and absorbs moisture like crazy
But I did see that it's the best type for outdoor use.
Its probably fine for a few months to a year
If you're wanting something you'll never really need to replace use wood or a pre-made plastic feeder that uses an industrial sealed plastic
This feeder will be for 1 year, I don't plan to use it forever.
PETG also grows bacteria really easy so make sure you're cleaning it probably weekly
Wood absorbs and eats bacteria so its not that big of an issue with wood stuff
So why do they say it's the best type for outdoor use?
I don't know who they is or what you read
Search on Google for the best type of filament for outdoor use.
And then read what link?
I used to repair cosmetics on boats with a 3D printer and used ASA plastic
boats?
Yes
PETG offers better resistance to chemicals, oils, and UV light compared to PLA. This makes it more suitable for outdoor use or applications involving exposure to solvents.
Compared to PLA sure. PLA is cheap bad plastic
ASA is also good, but I think both are fine.
well idk if it's cheap
1 - stop reading AI overviews
2 - do what you want to do. I can't stop you. I'm just telling you the down sides. If they didn't exist everybody would be doing it
yes, i know
well i don't read AI overviews
I don't really mess around with food related stuff and materials. For example like why you should not use plastic cutting boards and should use wood
So... what link are you reading?
That looks like an overview? Youve cropped out any important information
Anyways I wouldn't use any of those plastics for outdoor usage long-term. When it comes to food though I definitely would not personally use any of them. I do not enjoy having to clean extra stuff
wouldnt trust ai overview on that kinda stuff
wdym by the food?
Aren't you asking about a bird feeder
yes
oh okk
But I think it's an economical way to make a feeder, so you don't spend money.
I mean you are spending money. Plastic and energy costs aren't free
yea i know
but I spend less money
Besides, that filament has many uses, not just as a feeder, and since I have it, I'll take advantage and make a new feeder.
Here I can get enough wood for a small hanging feeder tray and liquid nails for < $10 so meh
yes but if you want to have 2 feeders
3d printing being economical is news 😂
Besides the fact that I already had that filament, I think it was more worthwhile to make it myself, as I believe the birds would eventually come anyway.
Sure, do what you want. Just be conscious that it may not last a year+ and that you really should be cleaning at as thats a bacteria farm
And you probably don't want your birds getting sick and having diarrhea all over your stuff and you
this better looking for photos imo (shitty pic)
I put some whole peanuts out the other day and they were gone before I could even get my camera out of the camera cube
wow
where's that?
Okay then, what I'll do is wash the feeding trough every week with a sponge and soap and then dry it with a towel.
Ok
aura farming birb
photo taken from my living room window
oh ok
why?
not bad 😭
Cuz I have only seen them twice since I got into photography? Or more likely noticed. I have prolly seen them before but not noticed. Now I saw them one time out my school window and one time on a street next to a church
The bird is in shadow and a branch is blocking it. Nothing I would post in galleries, more likely a keep because it’s my first shot
but where are you from?
But I don't think the photo is that bad either.
focus on prop blur not birds
No
?
Birds: everywhere
Props: I see once a year
what's props?
No. I just need to keep it in frame and 1/2000 or 1/3000 will do the job
Plane
plane?✈️
no
Looks like you super cropped it in. The subject is extremely blurry and the photo has a ton of noise, and the leaves are brighter than the subject drawing all the eye's attention and it looks
i didn't crop anything
He ain’t
It’s just bridge cam
Rock what are you using to edit
well, i'm learning how to use darktable but it's pretty difficult.
yea but consider my camera
I've never used Darktable but looks like it has a decent denoise on it
well, idk if my photo has a lott of noise
It has a lot of noise
See how this looks like its speckled? Thats noise. Its all throughout the photo
A major improvement would be denoise for you
But will the photo still be bad?
It is a pretty bird and you can't make your camera amazing. I think a better aspect ratio, denoise, and fixed lighting and it wont be half bad
It'll look better
well i have very good goose photos
idk if you have seem them
I like your goldfinch in that photo Rock
I think ya just need to improve the processing on the photo
so that's the problem?
That’s more likely just bad in can denoise cuz he can’t shoot raw and cam is just shit
oh if that's the problem ok i will denoise it
Wait it doesn't shoot raw
I thought no raw
😭
No does it or does it not
You can’t denoise jpeg
?
😭
Shoot raw
my camera can't do it
Then you can’t denoise it
I'm manifesting an upgrade for you
NIKON Z6 III
But can I get a good photo with my camera?
why?
why not?
Because you have a tiny sensor
yes
Because it’s already denoised
1/2.3 I assume
how?
The camera does it
i think so
yes but can't a program do it again?
I thought always
Not really
I think there are a few cases where they aren't
But I don't really know
K
I just said usually not to be wrong tbh
K
K
Fair but there was no need to get annoyed over that
Cheap bridge yeah
Do you think my camera is better or the P1100?
But does the P1100 at its maximum zoom have better quality than my camera?
P1100 all the way
Max zoom p1100 is useless
i know
yes
Bad quality or lack of ibis
But my camera and the P1100 have the same sensor, I think.
then the quality would be similar
With the noise that your camera has I doubt it
So i went down the local pond and saw something i didn’t think would be there at this time of year yet 🤔
I think the p1100 will have less noise
So a 3000mm camera has better quality than my camera?
Kingfisher?
Not at 3000mm
oh ok
Gooselings😍
Spend like almost 2 hours just shooting dem gooselings 😍
Totaly forgot about any other birb
wow
Dxo has some work to do
Well then I can get good photos with my camera but it's simply more complicated.
10000 iso
It doesn't look very bright for such high ISO.
Cause its almost night time
oh, ok
This is bright than it actually is
but where was the photo?
in a forest?
Dove
no
Praying for this
turtledove
Mourning dove
yes
So it's a dove
aarvs have you tried rapidraws denoise perchance?
Tf is rapidraw
what's rapidraws?
editing software for brokies
The feeder doesn't look bad either.
well ofc not then
I don't know when they'll eat those sunflower seeds, I don't know if they can smell them.
ah forgor your rich, my apologies for even putting free stuff and you in the same thought king
It doesnt change wb im pretty sure
but like is the denoising actually good?
the best that ive used but then again ive only used affinitys one which imo sucks (unless im doing something wrong) and darktables auto denoise
try denoising this and we'll compare results with dxo
@undone slate welp I didn't know you don't have RAW. I threw this together over a screenshot of your photo as a really quick rough example of what I'd start playing with if you did
ill try with a few different settings, gimme a min lol
How did you do that?
I opened photoshop and drew a gradiant in the top left thats white and a linear gradient at the bottom thats black and made the red on the head brighter
All things you can probably do easier in darktable
oh and I yeeted the top branch out of the photo
