Beautiful birds
It's ok. Today I accidently shot sports at 120
dude some random dude on facebook drove over an hour to get a bcnh out of a tree
it was stuck on a ton of fishing line
i spotted this guy 2 days ago
That's brave
W dude
He'slucky that nothing happened to his eyes
yea ik
good thing bcnh has a short neck
he shouldve grabbed the beak
but in the moment i think we just wanted to save it
im glad the outcome was good for both of them lol
literal seconds before this bird just messed his nose up
Let’s go
I swear thermals are amazing what you see with them
Like you go at night through a forest won’t see shit but the second you turn thermals on everything is full of animals
I saw elk for the first time in Germany through thermals
Also raccoons
@analog rivet Are there any significant changes from the Z6 III to the Z7?
ive seen ppl having binoculars in their birding kit, does anyone here use them?
and how helpful are they?
i have binoculars but i dont use them while photographing anything
I use binoculars all the time
not usually with my camera but they're much more convenient to carry around
Not even comparable ngl
Z6iii is vastly better
Haven’t really gave it a proper run yet
If they got more range than your camera with lens then they are useful for birds further away than your camera can reach
Mostly what I heard from birders, they use like scopes for birding like binoculars but like mono so just one thing and you get crazy ranges on these and can attach cameras
Depends on which one you get though
Keep in mind this is just what someone else told me who is a birder
So don’t really know much it’s just what I heard
I have some but just for fun, they wont help your photography or anything
yeah i'm excited to get it this look insane
you can see my house in the eye this is scary
@magic crown where the hell did you find the alpha symbol in your name
someone typed it one day and i take it x)
i cant copy it 😭
alt+244
unfair
Just copy the whole message
or just switch to canon or nikon, R and Z are real letters lmao
i have the same with this one
should i use auto ISO instead of the one where it chooses shutter speed
it just becomes so noisy so fast with my camera
and it always chooses like iso 6400
I never switch off auto iso for wildlife
I just pick shutter speed, aperture, and prey that there is enough light
same
Someone posted a pic yesterday in #🦀・creatures where you could see them in the Birds Eye
Kinda insane
I had a pretty cool photo of a bird taken at 50mm
Couldn't post it since it would dox a friend lol
Oh wow thats detailed
those bubbles wtf
weird looking bird tho
ill try next time i go bird
To be fair, I lied a bit
Water birds all have a bit of character to them
I do kinda tweak auto iso
Sometimes I switch to slowest when I know the subject wont move and there isn't enough light
the ball thing on the beak
Wait, that changes shutter speed not iso, I'm stupid lol
I always auto ISO everything else manual unless my background is super high contrast and it gets the iso wrong
Thx
Not edited
The lighting in this photo is a bit awkward not sure where to start edits at, if I even should
The light is directly hitting the side of my subject you see pretty flat. So everything being evenly brightly lit is well rather correct
and no sharp angles for any shadow play
You think so? Its rule of thirds'd
this is the full size I do have room to move it around
Oh yeah that's better
I guess I mess with color grading to try and create the visual separation between foreground and background?
You can use the rule of thirds but try push it more to the right
What do u think about this? Its a crazy crop but still seems sharp
But I also liked the color in the trees hm
I'll play with it, thanks for the feedback
brown eye wow
my order got canceled due to a stock error it's out of stock actually

so i need to wait to get refund
What noise silly
What next idk if I'm done
I like this bird
I have swallow tailed kites that fly overhead but I can never capture em they fly so high up
careful on bright area they are overexposed on most
yea it's frying my eyes just a tiny bit
very sharp
caught the exact moment i got this pic
@fast knoll 1dx2 locked focus real quick
you can see how fast i raised the camera up to my face 💀
for this one i probably used full area
auto point
but single pt is the most reliable
Are u still dying
nope
Holy noise bruh
So why did you buy the Z7?
I was searching on Google and I saw that the Z6 III is better in almost every aspect.
Higher mp for product photography is my guess
I like thinking about climbing iso as camera telling me "you are starving me of light dummy, rethink your life choices and settings."
except raw detail from DR and megapixels
over a stop better at the low end
he has both, z6iii as a main and z7 as a second body, mainly for portraits and products im assuming
u should switch ecosystems
No
Ill see when the next cams come out
But rn idk why id switch
One thing thats nice about nikon and sony is the camera doesnt stop shooting when u fill the buffer
Mainly portraits and product photos
I don’t only shoot wildlife
It’s just one of the few genres I shoot often
Rookie mistake
bring your cam to school with you
my cameras this chart goes like 📉
but doesnt go that much up
Damn my bad I meant it to be in plane
Nah imagine a student kicking my backpack
i still need to fix this last one
idk if this one is better or the other one
try deleting the branch over the bird
this ones better
dawg what kind of school are you in 😭
Well it’s not really my school, rather the students of the school next to us, the type of school that’s way easier and usually the people who fought a lot in primary are the ones that didn’t learn and so they went there. And those are the danger for my camera
Mostly in the bus though
realschule?
wait is there a mode for auto iso or do i just put manual and iso to auto
u could prob use shutter priority too
it does the exact same thing
is it av on canon
nah that's aperture
should be tv
wait no
wait yea
it's Tv lol final answer
i personally just use Fv mode and set aperture to wide open, ISO to auto, then i have the dial to adjust ss
is this shutter priority?
on my camera tv doesnt let set aperture
i dont have fv lmao
can u just use M and set auto ISO?
i honestly dont know the diff between Fv and M
i could use my Fv mode exactly like manual if i wanted to
thats what i asked in the first place lol
ill try M and auto iso
gotta set auto iso range so it doesnt always put 12800
my range goes up to 25600
but the photo is pretty shit if i have to get that high anyway so i try to drop shutter speed as much as possible
my camera cant handle iso that well
i can use 102000 iso
but it's shit
well depends how big the subject it
and how close u are to it
goofy ahh graph

not too bad
its pretty usable until around 5000 ish I find
wow thats very flat
I suppose thats a good thing though
yeah i think
some cameras have it go like this 📉 (it goes slightly upwards in the middle)
show da d7200
wow there was easter bunny so close
R6II my goat
have you heard anything about artemis II
no I meant the 50 to 3200 range
nvm then
d5 is obviously great lmao
yeah that looks really odd

geese in the background
Lol
Its only worse than the rest because apsc
🥀
Mb
I thought it was for wildlife photography.
Confused but apology accepted
very bad photo
nope
wildlife he uses the z6iii and does on the side
oh ok
what's precap?
Precapture
Your camera constantly takes photos until you press the shutter and then it saves the last 1 sec before you pressed
So you don’t miss a shot
JPEG isn't that bad for editing anyway
As long as you don't tweak a stupid amount of exposure
Depends
That bird that suddenly flies infront of the sun/is in the direction of the sun with one half
Yeah, birds in front of bright sky is always tough
Raw all the way. JPEG only if you can 100% plan the shot or have enough tries lol
I wouldn't ever pick JPEG over raw lmao
But JPEG got a bad rap from online snobs
I wish cameras could output AVIF or JPEG XL...
lol when I was with my friends back in January I shot jpeg because I wasn’t gonna edit silly photos of us
And I shot JPEG back when I did not have Lightroom because I wasn’t gonna edit like man this don’t matter…
This was a JPEG capture from the time I didn't know any better
White balanced it, it still looks fine
Rip focus 🙁
just my dumb ass using F/4 while being so close to the bird
but it's in focus
F/8-F/11 or bust and 3200 shutter speed or higher for small birbs 😎
Its actually just the R6 II's inferior sensor to the R8s /s
being too close to a bird has never been a problem for me because they're never close
uncropped
bruh how is it letting you get so close lol
Great herons aren't very scared birbs
I really need to get a 150-600 but right now I'm able to get somewhat nice photos out of my 70-200
Being too close is always an issue
Now how aarvs and others gets so close to small birbs is beyond me
Im maxing 600mm every time and still getting wide shots
saw some purple herons yesterday
i only get close to those who are used to humans
I've been sitting outside at my bird feeder lately trying to get them used to me
So far a blue jay has accepted me. Outside of that my feeder becomes a ghost town
They get scared at the sound of a shutter
I hide behind my window
How high?
6400
Denoised or no?
i mean it's quite high on a small subject
Yeah my camera could not do that I top out at 5000 before shittery
i'm at 1-2k iso at golden hour
Golden hour has me sit usually around 8-10k
I shoot with sun behind me though based on where the trees and stuff are at my house
sun doesn't set where i can see it
This was 8k ISO (and LR denoised)
That's pretty good for 8k
can tell
Updated the feeder yet again
r6II clear
Yeah if only I had the R6 II sensor amiright
i need to make a perch above my feeder
Eventually ima add a peanut tray to my feeder but right now I only have 2x4 wood and its too thicc for this stuff
My feeder is working nicely for photography currently
it's spring so feeders will soon end (in north hemisphere)
Im in the Northern hemisphere and its almost peak season for birbs here
Cap
it depends
on if theyre used to ppl or not
i went to a protected area once that u need permission to enter
and even the gbh would flush so far away
but u can def get close to most of them
I was walking past one while it was on the other side of a river
Ts bird flew away
I go in its general direction
Flies away again
Took me forever to iust get this damn photo
ohh ok, yes, i do with my camera. The downside is that you then have a lot of photos to delete and it takes a lot of time, but oh well.
naur that different
(i think)
600/4 so stupid sharp
imagine on 45mp
whats next upgrade for u
R5II
is r3/1 only gripped bodies
yh for mirrorless
but they're 24mp
r5ii is 45 mp
yea
wish they had a 45mp gripped body like some other brands

No. It only saves one second before
can you explain?
wdym?
I’m 90% sure you don’t have precapture
magpie was so close when i was biking home
but wdym by precapture?
It takes pictures all the time but deletes them after one second and if you press the shutter button it takes pictures normally and saves 1 sec before you pressed the button
But why delete them? What's the point of that?
Listen: you sit there and watch a bird, your camera points at it and you sit there for five minutes waiting for the bird to take off and fly away and during that time your camera takes like over 5k photos of the same thing over and over again but it deletes them after one second and if you press the shutter it saves this one second so you have the moment where it starts flying even if you are a little late. And the deleting happens so you don’t have a shit ton of photos
well fuck me place got raided by about 10 pigeons
But does the camera take photos without pressing the shutter button?
why?
Ok
That doesn't happen on my camera
Because it doesn’t have precapture
I understand that, but I don't understand why the camera is constantly taking photos if they're not to be saved...
Nikon Z6 II and III have it but only jpeg
yep
The last around 30photos get saved after you pressed th shutter button
Ohh ok
But pre-capture is activated manually, right?
Yes
That's useful if you're constantly pointing at the bird, but if you're not, you'd be taking pictures of the ground.
YEAH, that’s what I have been telling you in my last 20 messages
i know
I have a question: could someone explain how to use exposure compensation? And how does it physically work on the camera? What does it do?
when you change exposure compensation you override the camera’s automatic metering to make photos brighter or darker
I put them out 2 hours ago... I don't know when the goldfinches will come.
2 woodpecker 2 cuckoos and 2 hoopoes heard today but 0 photos
today was pretty mid for me aswell
i think i got a nice duck photo
but thats kinda it
What kind of wall are they attached to?
Birds like areas they can see all around and have places they can escape to. They are hesitant to take from feeders attached to human structures
i'm gonna go look for hoopoes again tomorrow
where?
around where i live
In the urbanization or in the forest?
I only saw it once, but I never saw it again. 😭
i heard one today in someone's garden
it was less than 20m away from me
It's an open area and there are usually some near my house. By "near" I mean they sometimes pass by my house, but they're usually about 10 meters away or something like that.
wow
I don't know how you see them there, here they are rare to see.
I live right in the white zone of the Iberian Peninsula, where there are the fewest.
its scientific name is always fun to say
upopa epops
I'm probably going to get a new feeder because this only attracting bluetit thing is slightly annoying
maybe you can try getting a photo with ur camera
of the bluetit
they're quite common here when they migrate
And have you ever seen an Estrilda astrild?
It's a bad photo, but I don't know how to take better pictures of them because they're usually in the grass and in a hard-to-reach place.
that's a beautiful bird
we don't have them in france
Africa has some insane birds
It's bad because you can't take pictures of it, but good for the ecosystem.
I have many others I do not care much for
probably one of these feeders as I can't mount my feeder on my other window
if you have a 3d printer you can do it
wow
but that was on the feeder?
Yes
Today's image on my brave browser goes hard
Is that by the same person?
Yep
Epic
anyone
It can take weeks for birds to find feeders
but that's not a feeder
It can take weeks for birds to find and adapt to new things*
It's the goldfinches' favorite plant.
idk because they're used to that plant
They arent used to it being there
No, but if they're flying and they find that maybe they will eat it
Most birds have garbage eyesight. It'll take time for them to recognize it, then check it out here and there and gauge how safe it is. Then if they like it start becoming regulars
Nature takes time its not stuff that happens in a few hours
Its also wild animals. Sometimes you can do everything right and still get no results
but they have a pretty good vision
Not the same way humans do
Birds possess vastly superior vision compared to humans, with raptors (eagles, hawks) having 4–8 times higher visual acuity and the ability to see ultraviolet (UV) light. Birds have four types of color cones (tetrachromatic) vs. humans' three (trichromatic), allowing them to see a wider spectrum, faster motion, and more vivid colors
Majority of birds are really good at seeing contrast. Like a dark rat in bright colored grass the dark in the light they see the difference very well
Not individual shapes and details
There are birds with crazy vision like the ones listed, that is not the type of birds you're trying to attract to your home
oh ok
Unless you're trying to attract hawks. In that case fill ur backyard with rodents
but have you ever tried to attract goldfinchs to your house?
🦅
but where are u from?
Not on purpose. I've seen a couple during winter
they're only from europe
you could try do it
do u have any bird feeder?
I'm in Florida in the USA, we get goldfinches during winter
hmm
i think they're not the same as here
not my photo
Spinus tristis- american goldfinch
Carduelis carduelis- european goldfinch
they're not even related
wow, i've never seen a cardinal before
Yes the Europeans named them similarly because they look similar
Same with the robin
Sure you have, I've posted cardinals several times 😉
And maybe to you it's as common as seeing sparrows here.
i mean with my eyes
in person
I did see a long tailed tit for the first time yesterday at the golf course
yep
I brought this up but I have never seen one before somehow
idk if i have those in spain
You do in most of Spain
Long tailed tit
For me, seeing this would be super strange, but for people who live in America it's normal...
i've never seen one
lol that's not true at all
They all have excellent vision
As already mentioned, many birds have vastly superior vision compared to humans
They also have pretty good spatial awareness
Why were you in Kenya?
From there
wdym
I'm from kenya
oh, really?
Yeah
I am
what
I can live in the UK but be from kenya
Sure, but not the backyard birds he is trying to attract. They excel in contrast not shapes
yes yes
carduelis carduelis
In fact, the name of the teasel in Spanish is similar to the scientific name of the goldfinch.
carduelis carduelis
With luck, I could have the first goldfinches tomorrow or next week.
All birds can see just as well as humans and in more colours. Idk where you read that they can't see shapes as well, that's not true
I was reading on camouflaging for birding and it was saying wear low contrast colors to the environments and move low and still. Birds have a hard time detecting unique shapes and details and instead excel in contrast and movement
If you're dark green in a dark green forest it'd be very hard for them to recognize a human figure is what it was sayin
They just don't realise that there is a difference
The reason we can do that is because we are well smarter than birds
To slay the least
Vision is the combined process though
Potato potato either way gonna take them a while to recognize a new space
breaking up your silhouette can still help a lot
And do you think birds with a brown feeder can see it well?
@magic crown do you use a neoprene lens cover?
yeah
But goldfinches are specialized in "detecting" thistles.
which one?
what's neoprene?
oh ok
i know
im debating between this and a lenscoat one
but rolanpro is much more affordable
i have it 6 month now and it's still good
and it cover the rain/heat really well
i also found a person in germany who makes them
https://www.ebay.de/itm/168299084285
yeah but no
why not?
not the same level of waterproofing
i have this one
rolanpro also ships via aliexpress
its only 70€ there but i dont know how much shipping will be
sometimes it says it cost less but they covering back on shipping
and on amazon you are sure it's not a fake one
apparently it is waterproof
and also prevents the lens from overheating and therefore from thermal deformation
I think i will go with this one, its half the price
the rest i will use to buy a camo blanket
Rolanpro is better in every way
than the ebay listing or lenscoat?
Lenscoat
Rolanpro has better build quality etc
for that kind of stuff don't really mess with the price it's a cost for a reason
You do you but I’d rather get the best quality
If you want more camo stuff tragopan is good
yeah
Who was having issues with great blue herons being scared the other day
I guess I am the heron whisperer
Lol
Some off cam previews
So I sold my first print today
nice what pic you sold ?
yh i wanted to make it smooth but failed so this image is not gonna be edited
for the bin
well actually i'll keep it just cause it's a purple heron but i'll never upload it anywhere
the artificial bokeh is too strong on this one
purple heron is hard to get so it's still a good job
i saw 5 come out of a tree
yeah it's the season actually
btw tomorrow little hide in the Crau to get maybe an owl
some dumb cunt stopped me from getting an owl pic
his stupid old ass scooter scared it away
what kinds of owls are there in the crau
tawny owl (forest part) and some little owl
I need to go back to a park a few hrs away for roseated spoonbill babies
only 1h from away from me
we have so many scops owls here yet i can't seem to see one
you want to laugh ? i've got a couple of tawny owl only 10 minutes away

i just wait to get the thermal monocular
how much does that cost
400€ for a good cheap one
i'm saving up to get it bc they canceled the previous order
How r u gonna get a good photo tho?
Or is it just for bird watching
Good NOD Goggles are 5x this and only buyable through private routes too. Night vision stuff is craazy
it's just to see thermal signature
not to take photos like a camera
@green canyon have u gotten any photos with ur new setup yet
still need to edit
also havent had time to properly test it yet
oh wow
google and youtube
perhaps mating
Oo
@fast knoll
Im gonna tweak
Ts twig zawg
Atleast i got something new today
Thatll be interesting to check in post
It didn’t upload the photo but here it is
Worth it
Nice Anhinga! I saw one today but bro wouldn't stop plucking feathers and give me a good shot 😂
Yeah, 13x19 on Epson luster
Yeah, i shot this one from like 3 feet away
Oh that's tiny
Most print i selled was around 20x30 and 30x45
Go print a 60x40 with a printer
Holy massacre
The bird made an absolute mess

Its the only type of paper I had sadly
And for the price of it I’m fine with that
its not that great ig
whatever
i like this one tho
mating pic aint that good
but i love the other 2
Use Bayphoto Labs if you're in the US
I used EasyCanvasPrint my first time and it was a not good print for the cost. I emailed them about it and they claimed my photo was too small. But I did the math and ran it through several sites that said my photo wasn't even maxing the canvas size out that I could go to
ok
I love these
Same
Wish i couldve gotten close
maybe i can get more quality from it by cropping on pc
going back here tomorrow
hopefully more kestrels and more luck
hoopoes reported there a few days ago
as soon as i got low he said im out 😭
yeah i wanted a pic of the cig not the bird 🙄
bro city birds are a cheatcode
they come so close
pigeon was so close i couldnt focus
sadly i dont get to visit the city often
Well guess where I got these
In the city
cute ❤️
Yeah thx
I’m still here fishing
After fishing I might just go and take some more pictures
All of theses are out of focus btw
im gonna quickly edit some pigeons on my phone and see if i got anything
rip
well its good when you show it quickly to someone
they wont notice
I got sharp ones though
show full
so cutee
woah the first one
I never see theses
I think I got them while mating
Looked more like drowning tbh
i once almost stepped over a curlews nest (there was 3 eggs) 😭
I need to go there
it was like 3 yrs ago and i was playing pokemon while walking so i only got pic with my buddy pokemon in the pic 😂
2.5m away from me
I could literally catch them rn with my bare hands
Meanwhile where I usually go I need like a super realistic ghillie suit to get in range for a 1200mm lens
Man I was being trolled by laughing gulls yesterday. They would not move to a spot where I had a clear background
sometimes a little bit of noise looks good and here i think it does tbh
idk why
i mean yeah personally i hate ultra clean images
just looks fake
if its not above like 4000 iso i'm not even touching it
when it's this low it basically looks like nice grain
i denoise basically all my pics except for when i want to do something that looks grainy
also i'd love to see bluejays
don't have them in france unfortunately
Photographing a pigeon in the street is, I'd say, somewhat complicated because if you want to avoid people appearing in the background...
that's quite easy
how?
@grizzled nebula have you seen the upopa epops?
hoopoe
not yet
just wait to have no one behind or get a decent camera + lens for the bokeh to make them dissapear
Greenfinches honestly look like fed up old men
Ass photo
I think the shingles is my mistake a couple months ago I probably didn't raise shadows
But for holding a camera for like a week it's not that bad
Still an ass photo
Not a bad photo
But ass photo
Ye
Photo of ass
I take bird ass photo a lot
Me too
Holy noise lol
That one was shot on iso 100
The camera focused on the branch instead the bird
And the light meter focused on the skyish so the butt was too dark
La garde?
La Crau
What shutter speed was this as well
looks great
thanks ❤️
I saw one guy shoot these with a pellet gun 🥀
imma shoot him with a TAC-50
He just be shooting birds not even knowing what they are
I have never seen those
I wanna see them
what server
Fishing and hunting server
This guy is from turkey
turkey (bird) brain
may i have the link
Don’t tell them I got you there
I sent you in DMs
seeing his message he seems mentally disabled
idk if we can say the word i wanna say here
Lmao
he literally kills birds for no reason
what's the hoopoes or house sparrow done to him
Idk he feeds them to his cat at least
Still stupid
But at least not fully wasted, just 99%
you can't say that word
actually
Also this is no crop top it’s my phone as a comparison
Out of focus
But in the city you can really get hella close
Some guy was hand feeding a swan
Interesting, it isn't allowed in other servers I'm in
this server is slightly special
camargue
parc ornithologique du pont de gau
they're very used to humans
Like closest I got was in the same city as today and it was on the other side of a 2-3m wide pond
i was just above 1.2m away
i was basically at the min focus distance of the 100-500 at 500mm
Damn
Min focus for my 200-600 is 2.1m or so
I wish I could get any bird at that distance, let alone a heron
I actually slap on macro adapters on my 200-600 sometimes
But for some reasons I can’t get close to birds then
lil bro posing
crazy
In summer they steal your food if you sit and look away
wouldnt expect that from the pic you sent
looks so innocent
Because so many people feed them, when they see a hand close enough they just take the food out of it
Yeah not yet
in my city its not allowed to feed them
Warra phone photography
still saw and old man feeding them today
As soon as the pool on the other side opens there will be bored kids throwing away chips and bread and everything which they will eat
Is it a lake or a river?
a pond or a little river i think
Makes sense
There if there’s too much like idk either the ducks poop or the bread whatever algae starts blooming
That’s why it’s illegal
In my city it’s a river though it wouldn’t hurt if they made it illegal
minding their own business
in france i don't think it's illegal to feed them
if it is i can tell u rn it's not changing anything
So happy i now have my spot for little owl
i see people feeding every bird
i might go too
cause if there's little owls there i wanna get pics
saw first common kestrel today
where is it exactly in la crau
I'll let you search like i did it's part of the game

?
Bruh
I’m going to the Ebro delta this year
And I thought man there’s gonna be a lotta birds
But hell no
That’s nothing
My closest single hotspot has 200
a tu parle de la crau pres de arles 😭
y'a la crau pres de hyeres aussi mdr
fuck that then

Aussie,
Australia?
Weird French
??
I don’t like French

Language so complicated
y'en a un pres de hyeres aussi 😎
You write something lik idk car and pronounce it cow
i pronounce it car cause i'm bilingual
I hope you got what I meant
Ofc not with the word car
But you pronounce everything differently from what you write
That’s why I love German (except counting system)
Lmao since I started to speak English I lost my ability to count in German
why is camargue such a fucking cheat code
wtf
it's literally less than 30 mins away from me
By car or bike?
car
K
wish it was by bike
How long by bike?
probably 5h cause it's uphill and i'm not made for that
My bird hotspot at the Danube is like 25km, I do that in an hour lol
i am going to cavaliere soon to try and find that eagle owl
I have never seen an owl lol

I saw them at a zoo a couple of years ago
I don’t take pics of locked up animals 🙂
Hell yeah imma he at least 20lifers in Spain this year
And I’m going to Stockholm in a month
A bunch new lifers there
That owl is handicapped so it can’t be released
Well there’s 2 that are handicapped
You’re not allowed to get too close but luckily there’s a place where you can get some nice pics like these
the sun was out if that's what you mean
Yeah I just wanted to word differently for some reason
Ok
Can a good bokeh effect completely make people disappear?
American ones have more color though, I like that
only called robins bcs europeans came here and saw a red bird and was like omg robin
usa has cardinals too those r way cooler
their songs sound like laser weapons
black birds do too
jokes on you we get the original kingfisher
usa has belted kingfisher and those r cool
theyre not colorful but theyre big and a cool shape
theyre not blue and orange though
im really excited to see what kind of pictures i can get of kingfishers with the a6700

belted kingfisher calls sound like theyre laughing at you as they fly away
laughing because you cant get a picture

You mean you came there as Europeans or are you Native American?
all swallows r peak

Yo @green canyon you got anything with your a6700 yet?
I sadly dont have a lot of time to go out at the moment

Long tailed tits 🐐
For me they are rare as heck, I see more woodpeckers than them
I got them once close with my 600mm and that was directly above

So I didn’t get a frontal shot
I got like barely their beak
