Hey guys, finally reporting back after a lot of trial and error with my new Linea Micra. The steam wand is much more powerful than my old single boiler, but I’m surprisingly having a harder time steaming milk properly. Rather than taking a latte art class or something similar, I wanted to see if anyone local would be open to coming by and helping me dial in my setup (shots and milk), ideally someone with Micra or LM experience. Happy to pay hourly, and I think learning on my own setup would be more useful. I live right off Wilshire/La Cienega - TIA 🙂

Got told by black rabbit that the CPU board was bad and dead, they fixed everything else they could and gave the machine back and left me to take care of the board. (That was my choice) I spoke with NS rep and they told me to do something odd, flick the relays with a screw driver “lightly”.

The fact that this worked was beyond frustrating given I was about to drop a band on a new board.

But sadly now there’s no water flowing to the group head for some reason and I have taken apart every fucking solenoid on this machine and taken apart the pump and all impellers are good. Checked every valve inside and out that I could. No clogs, debris, scale/build up that I can see, my guess is that the electrical on the 3way valve solenoid is fucked electronically but aside from that I’m stumped.

Spent 10 hours on this machine today and read all 288 pages of that damn manual.

So I’ve been to Orinoco twice. The first time I was really impressed. That was 2019. The second time was last year and maybe I just caught them on an off day but it wasn’t as good.

That said- current frontera is as good as 2019 Orinoco.
