Iāve met a lot of people that put too much faith in agtron and donāt realize itās more about determining roast level and ignores aroma, flavor, DTR etc.
right now brews on one and HUās on the other. Was MPs and CV2s for 8 months or so. I prefer the brews to the MPs for light roast pourover and turbos. HUs because Iāve been doing some traditional espresso. Seem to work well for med roast pourover as well (slow auger and using a blind shaker). Might switch back to the CV2s at some point but MPs likely will stay in the case

What do you guys think used p100 vs new zerno? I have mine coming in July need to figure out whether to keep it or pay a bit more and get a 98mm grinder
I think it depends on use case. Iād personally go with the Zerno for the smaller footprint, aesthetics and the versatility of the 64mm platform. Itās a lot more affordable and a lot less effort to experiment with different burr types than with a p100. If youāre not going to swap burrs and are done when you buy the p100 is probably a better grinder though.
if you're just a home person, I think zerno is better
I think 64mm geometry also spros better
for shop use, definitely big bois

Was considering it but not sure if itās worth it to me. If I end up keeping it, I might. Still need to try out various burrs before committing.
I bought a newish P100 and regretted it. I came from 64 mm. The improvements for 98mm are marginal at best but the cost of trying out new burrs is 2x or even 3x. Also, less people trade 98mm burrs than 64mm.

I have been to Providence maybe 6-8 times and itās always been super good. Happy for them to win their third Michelin star. Somni is also a terrific meal and very deserving of their three stars. Paris/Tokyo/NYC pricing but likely the best fine dining meal Iāve ever had in LA
