I replaced the Gen 1 burrs with Gen 2 burrs, and now the grinder is making this terrible noise.

I don’t see anything being scratched or cut up inside, but I can’t figure out what that noise is or if it’s ok. Does it need oil/lube?

I’m not familiar enough to diagnose this issue, but fellow is really good about warranty returns if you’re worried about this.

Fwiw, I had one make a similar noise and it lasted a whole year until I ended up stripping a screw on it and then giving it away.

double check that the auger key and spring are installed correctly

Oh shoot I know this sounds stupid but try turning it off and on again. Apparently sometimes this happens and the board needs to reset @elder cloak

@lone valve @vital wharf thanks for the help. I still couldn’t figure it out, but Fellow is sending me a new dial.

Ah that’s still annoying to try to change out

If you can't see anything wrong with the current dial, I'm not sure how a new dial will help

It sounds to me like there's a part missing and the auger isn't correctly engaging the rotary burr carrier
