#Potential Burr defect?

I recently bought some SSP Lab Sweet burrs and I'm wondering if the burrs I've got are good or not, I noticed that one of the cast grooves goes over the side while the others sit about 1 to 1.5mm away from the edge where its been cut. tbh I've got no idea if that's in the norm for SSP Lab Sweet burrs and if it would result in inconsistent grinds

Looks really off center

definitely not normal

Yeah that looks like whatever tooling cuts those grooves is about 3mm off towards the right here.

Could make interesting filter, I’d contact SSP and once they’ve sorted what needs to happen try them if they’ll allow it… certainly produce some unique cups.

I sent an email to the retailer so hopefully I can get a replacement sent.

They actually just got back to me to tell me they've forwarded what I sent them to SSP

It has been known to happen on the casts from time to time

I've got another reply (pretty impressed with cafune on the quality of their customer service)

"We've confirmed with SSP that your received set of burrs should have been caught and discarded in their QC process."
