Hi friends,
I recently came into possession of a hand grinder (Kinu m47) which I'm quite sure has been used to grind both infused coffee and weed. Any guidance about the best way to get the smell out?

you would need to run some grindz through then maybe a few rounds of coffee you're not going to drink, to clear those out

#

not sure if you can take apart the whole thing to get at the burrs

thanks boss. i can get the burr out, but idk what i'd do with it. wiping it off with a paper towel didn't help much, and the manufacturer is very insistent on not cleaning it with water

i got some grindz though, hopefully that'll do it

you can still follow up with a cotton ball with some rubbing alcohol if you still smell it. that'll dry fast enough to not do any damage (I'd still follow up with some more waste coffee)

you can wash metal parts with water/soap if you are able to dry them quickly, such as with a hair dryer, sunny window, or oven. But you have to make sure everything is actually dry. All the little tight areas will be hard to manage, so it is a bit risky, but things like the handle or catch cup wouldnt be an issue. I might try 99% isopropyl alcohol first - don't use a lower percent, as it has water in it, which will be left behind.
